Another blast from the past. I would have guessed '79 or 80 based on Bob Barker's dark hair and the models' hairstyles. Back when everything was better, even the game shows. Barker is a living legend and still going at the ripe young age of 99 and was the absolute best game show host, bar none..
Personally, I think that when Bob Barker looked at the other three and discarded them, he didn't do it for suspense. He just simply thought, "That's nothing. That's nothing. That's nothing. Girl did the right thing."
You know, the current versions needs to put Second Chances back in the game - because we haven't had a $10K or even $25K win in years because it's now near impossible to win it.
Ever since the Dob was fired, they've failed to understand the importance of winners. A loser tells two people; a winner tells 200. Didn't Temptation go for about 3 years without a winner? And they're too focused on the large flashy prizes that budget constraints pretty much require they hardly have any winners. That's not how you run a game show. It's a stage show for the audience, everyone has fun playing along, and maybe the contestants will get some prizes. The best contestants on any game show could care less if they get a refrigerator; they just want to have fun.
