What I loved MOST about your video was the very visible LIST there so that you know all the ingredients or supplies at once glance. That is so terrific! Thanks for this information. Presently I do not have a water feature but would love one of those , eventually.

This is beautiful. My only concern would be for the toxic chemicals in the waterproofing & paint. Birds, wild animals, and even a dog or cat might be vulnerable to harm if they decide to take a drink from this fountain. I'd rather use non-toxic materials to protect animals.

A solution to this would be to use ceramic and either run your tubing through the bottom and seal with marine epoxy. It won’t leach once cured, or set inside another waterproof basin.

@@kt9495 Yes, that seems safer 👍

You can use a plastic tub, and paint with a textured stone, stucco, or whatever paint. Then there's no hole in the bottom or painting the inside, or don't paint it at all.

If you want this look, that is actually a far better and much cheaper idea. I think it's a shame that such a beautiful tube like the one she used is being painted to look like almost any cheap one you can buy at a garden center. And it's expensive too, there is a lot of material going into that. No problem if you want to preserve the natural beauty of a tub. I'd love to have such a nice weathered one. Depends on someone's taste I guess. But her enthusiasm is contagious. Now I really want one.

Adding sand to the paint alone was worth the price of my click. Genius. Never seen that before. That’s a great way to get a cement texture. This water feature is so cool!

Nice video. Great choice of music at the end too. Im actually thinking about making this fountain but on a much smaller scale and keeping it on a table in my home. Any suggestions for small water plants that need partial sun or no sun?

Really nice as a feature on my micro farm, I really want the birds and insects to also be able to come down and have a drink
Building up a more natural environment on my micro farm really helps keep down pests and diseases.
    Happy gardening/farming

I'm thinking for birds a much more shallow water feature like a bird bath would be safer for them. You could put the shallow water feature on the ground or elevated like a standard bird bath.

I think there are probably newer products that are easier to install since this was made. I thinking of something like Flexseal that can just be sprayed on. Not sure if it would hold up as well over time.

Flex Seal is a worthless product! It does not work. There's even a disclaimer on the Box about using it in water. Even though the stupid commercials are nothing but water related issues!
