  • One night in March 1995, a US teenager walked the short distance home from her boyfriend’s house. It was a journey she never completed. Her body was found the next day, a short distance from her home. Over a quarter of a century later, her brutal murder remains unsolved. This is the story of a horrific crime that not only took a young life filled with promise, but also destroyed a family. This is the murder of Deanna Cremin.

Emma this was absolutely beautiful!! No one ever covers Deanna’s case. I searched her name to find who has covered her. She grew up a few streets up from me over the city line in Somerville, MA. I am from South Medford right next door.
She was 3 years younger than me and was frequently seen around. She was so pretty and a really nice kid.
Her story breaks my heart since I was 20 years old
I see her picture float around Facebook shared by other friends of mine still. She’s so missed
    Thank you so much

If Tommy didn’t do this, then they’re in the wrong to lay this at the feet of what was a 17 year old lad and say he’s even partially to blame for not waking her all the way home. If he had nothing to do with her death , then he’s probably struggled all his life with the fact that he only walked her half way . Putting that on a kids shoulders is cruel.

I agree having raised a lad teen myself from experience anger and retreat is a normal way of dealing with their young male emotions. I don't see why the blame is on Tommy if he's innocent just for not walking her fully home. Many a time iv said to my partner go on you go of without me I will be fine you ho get your good etc at night, it's just a human error the main fact is the creep that was lurking and committed the assault and murder is the one to lay the blame at. I find it weird people would think Tommy would assault her in that way when he was already dating Deanna. More like a stalker crime 100%

I love watching your videos Emma. Another very sad case. I do think the boyfriend is guilty here. To not walk Deanna home when he normally does and to have scratches on him seems very odd. Also the take out food order seems a little thin. Her curfew time was 10 yet he said he walked her home at 11. Maybe they left at 10? Sadly more often then not the perpetrator is the closest person. RIP Deanna. I hope this case is solved soon so the family can finally have some peace.

My heart goes out to that family and especially the mother. A mother never gets over the death of a child and I cannot imagine how much worse it is when the death is caused by a nameless predator. We lost my sister to a measles virus that destroyed her brain. She died in 1989 and my mother (who is eighty-two now) still suffers and asks "what if" and "if only" daily. You are absolutely right Emma that none of us can imagine what Deanna's mother must be going through.
And how infuriating that the possible perpetrator may be shielded by a corrupt town council. I'm sure corruption has been around as long as mankind, but lately I've become aware of so many instances of its slimy tentacles crawling with maggots infesting so many areas of life - past and present. And it seems like as with the mythical monster, Hydra, if you chop off one head, two will grow back.

As a mother myself, I can only empathize with what your whole family went through, but I'm sure your mom felt like her heart was ripped out of her chest. I also know as a parent, she went through a sense of guilt, because she probably felt she should've done more, etc. I hope that she's finally realized that she's not at fault for anything, and that she has peace, at least most of the time.
I'm positive your sister is watching over all of you and is proud of every single one of you. ❤️

@@reneecaballero9624 Thank you so much for your very kind and heart-felt words. My mother feels she could perhaps have been more permissive with my sister. When she wanted to go out with boys, my mother a 6alwaysvgd used to say there will be lots of time for that. Then we got the diagnosis and there was NO time because very shortly thereafter, because of the damage to her brain, my sister would sometimes wet her pants or had stains when she couldn't adequately help herself if she started menstruating a day early. It was most humiliating for my sister because she was deputy head girl of her primary school when the symptoms suddenly became severe. And we all know how cruel girls around 12 years old can be when a "high flyer" suddenly experiences every humiliation possible. The disease is called sub acute sclerosis pan encaphilitis and back then there was absolutely nothing that the medical world could offer. I heard recently that they now treat it with antiretrovirals and it is no longer a death sentence.

Oh so, so true about the sibling link. I haven’t achieved that either, through no fault of mine ( for once! ) Our second son died at 39 days old, of SIDS, despite being desperately wanted, loved and adored. Our younger two sons have a pretty decent relationship, with an age gap of only 15 months. Sadly, the plan was to marry, have our child very quickly, so they’d be close. That plan failed when our second baby boy died at only 39 days old. It breaks my heart that my eldest boy is pretty isolated from his two brothers, but I need to accept it as I can’t change it 😢.I love your channel Emma. You’re so totally relatable! And to the person who did this? Genetic genealogy used to take years. In the case of the Idaho 4, it took 7 weeks. Rest assured your ass will be arrested. Othrum Labs in Texas has been able to get a full genetic profile using 15 skin cells. Now here is some homework! Look how many skin cells you leave behind when you open a door. It doesn't take blood or semen anymore. It takes 15 skin cells. I am so freaking glad to be alive to see this technology. Little Adrian Jones - Adrian was a tiny bag of bones when he died. His last months were a living hell. He was locked behind a plywood door in a shower, made to stand for hours in stagnant water up to his neck, shackled, bound, starved and beaten.
His stepmother called him 'the boy,' rather than use his given name. While she and Adrian's father cared for their six girls, he was singled out for abuse of the worst kind.
And even in death, there was one last indignity. Instead of a proper burial, the seven-year-old was fed to pigs his father had bought specifically for the purpose of getting rid of his emaciated body.

@@JustMe-mh2pn this is the kind of thing that sometimes leaves a bad taste in my mouth about the motivations of some creators in true crime
I've heard many of them say they can't do child cases because jt makes them feel bad, which could be fair enough if they've suffered trauma themselves, but if it's just because it upsets them - that's not a good enough reason. Some say they don't cover them because the videos get demonetised and restricted... they're okay with creating content about other, brutal and disturbing crimes
... and, if I may say, making money from doing so... so imo they should get some cahunas and cover the more difficult cases otherwise it's pretty obvious they only do this for money. Which is disgusting.
That anyone else, any child, has to suffer what I experienced - and in these cases, obviously far worse than I suffered - makes me feel extreme pain and sadness that it's almost unbearable. 😢
Then to think that anyone would not want to hear about them and to help bring their voices and memory alive.
.. especially when they are already consuming true crime content - is just heartbreaking 😔 It's awful because to me it shows that some people watch this purely for entertainment. It's similar to people who eat animal flesh and don't like to hear about the torture those animals endure so they can do so. Because i guess after they hear that they might not enjoy their steak...
Idk, am I being too harsh? I just feel so strongly about child cases.

Hi Emma, Greetings from Australia, lovin your content as always, was wondering if you could do an episode on Elizabeth Johnson & Baby Gabriel, not much info available and this poor excuse for a mother is now free and walking the streets whilst baby Gabriel has never been found and only she knows where he is, How she was released without giving up that info is beyond belief. I appreciate the amount of research you do, and it shows in your content. Wishing you and your family a wonderful peaceful new year Xx

I must be a really neurotic mother as there's no way I would be going to bed when my daughter was supposed to be home. I have rang the police once when my daughter had gone on a first date with her now boyfriend. She didn't come back on the last train, I was waiting at the station for her in the car. I couldn't get hold of her, so I called the police. Turned out in the end they had got on so well & both got a bit drunk & were still in the pub/ club. I had to call the police back & apologise. But as for going to work the next day, I would have been completely frantic by then.

I have been unlucky enough to lose many people in my life, including my parents, aunts, uncles and close friends. None, thankfully, to an accident or murder. I have no children, but I cannot comprehend how a parent survives the loss of a child, no matter the reason. How someone survives the breadth and depth of that kind of grief just astounds me.

We would all hope that ALL senseless killings would stop, but what I have seen in these family's left with this kind of tragedy, is that it then goes on to significantly affect their health afterwards and that is so heartbreaking to see. There is NEVER ANY reason to - 'protect' those who take others lives.

I can not even comprehend the loss of a child . Not for one second . I lost a baby after birth and the psychological damage that does that you can’t fully repair or wrap your mind around even years after therapy is still heart breaking but to have your teen ager go missing and found dead . Absolutely traumatic and devastating I couldn’t . I am so protective of my little ones because this is my biggest fear . My heart goes out to this family and all those who loved ones have been taken so soon .

I don't know if this has already been put forward but could Tommy's scratches have been from fighting off Deanna's killer? It would also explain why he didn't walk her all the way home? Just putting out it there...

    • @reneecaballero9624
      @reneecaballero9624 Рік тому +1

If that was the case, them why wouldn't he have said so? He just said that he only walked her halfway home that night. I'm not blaming the mom, but I never understand why parents, when they're at home at the time, allow their children to walk home late in the evening. Again, I'm not blaming her parents, because everyone should be able to take a walk and not get murdered, attacked, or a victim of SA.

The one time the boyfriend doesn't walk her all the way home she's sexually abused and murdered somehow in the few minutes it would have took for her to walk the rest of that distance? That surely can't be just a coincidence. I've read a lot about this case before and Tommy was known to have a short fuse on top of a bunch of other not so nice things. My guess would be that they had a fight that evening, maybe she even turned down his advances, he snapped and the rest is sadly history. Just to mention, he also refused to do a lie detector test at any point which is also quite telling. Even his own Mother tossed him out of the house due to his temper and his aggressive and narcissistic behaviour. He was a proper wrong 'en and sadly Deanna was caught in his web.

I really hope her killer is brought to justice soon!
Tommy acted weirdly, i can totally appreciate the suspcion of him; takeaway or not, youd have called to say youre home and see if she got back safe! Her parents could have gone to look for her sooner and had a higher chance of finding her killer if not prevented it from happening.
