I used to work in the prison she is in. Can't believe I used to see her everyday. Thanks for your video. Love this show.
Is she manipulative?
I knew someone who was in jail with her. She said she was incredibly stupid.
😮
I’ve no idea how Emma doesn’t have her own TV show, the amount of information given from these cases are so in-depth and interesting 😊 I love how she become so animated and cross at times 😂❤
Yeahhhh a creator who tells these peices of our history with such compassion and sometimes well placed anger for systems that fail, and gives credit where it's due. I can't wait to hear this one, although I know what these people did I can watch Emma retell it because I always find out something I didn't know before :-) and she's so engaging to watch!
Thankyou for the likes & thankyou Emma
@@Lynx112 this is sad
@@Lynx112 not
Me too , I’ve watched lots of these cases but watching Emma you hear things you’ve never heard before and it’s more of a explanation of the case rather than reruns, I started to get a bit annoyed thinking wow it’s just other people’s work chopped and changed around and I’m feeding into it! This however is worth watching . I feel like I could watch all the cases I think I know about and feel like your having a discussion about the people involved and their reasons . No judgment ! Maybe a little sarcasm 😉

Should be exciting. Emma always makes all crime stories interesting and educational. Thank you for all the hard work. You deserve a million subscribers 💕
Or more!!! I love Emma too❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm Australian and have seen a few videos on this couple. To say they were extremely sick and depraved is an understatement.
What did you make of the katherine knight story 🤔 totally f***ed up that one…
@@deano007 She had a massive screw loose for sure.
Kathryn Knight was awful! Ivan Milan is a shocker too
She did Ivan last week. Horrifying man! I can't remember if she has covered Katherine Knight.... She was one very nasty pasty!
rebecca richards He's the reason we should have kept the death penalty. I can't watch stories on him because of how sick he was. Once was enough!
I also forget to say..I'm sure there was one girl they tried to pick up in Wanneroo but she didn't get in the car. And regarding her job in the library, she was meek and quiet but has the coldest eyes. Like a sharks eyes. You've brought back so many memories for me tonight. I think I'll make a night of it and watch a couple more. Thanks EM
Wow shocking. Not heard of this case. Bless the young person who survived this shocking ordeal. Hope she got the support she needed.
Another great story Emma .
I will never understand these monsters.
The victims and the families that have been left behind to deal with the aftermath is just unimaginable.
I love Emma's discussion documentaries on true crime. There is a lot of knowledge and common sense in there which often gets taken out when documentaries shift to the main stream channels. It's a more natural progressive discussion rather than a fame hungry professor trying to make money out of someone else's misery Well done Emma
Thankyou. It’s lovely to hear. Em x
I love crime documentaries and no one goes into each character involved as well as Emma does. She is the best on UA-cam I think!
This is the only channel I've ever seen where the fans give the vids an instant 👍before watching the content.
That’s nice to hear 😉. Em x
I do that! 😃 I didn't even realise before your comment but this is exactly what I do. I click on a video and give it a thumbs up before it starts. 😁
Hey Emma, I’m from Perth and remember the Bearnie’s very well. You did good and gave this story justice.
Met a prison guard not long ago and she said Kathryn is still as evil. Nothing will happen change for her.
I live in Australia, never heard of these two!! And that she was allowed to converse with Hindley and Wernos is completely mind.blowing 😳🤯
Same, I've never heard of it either.
Genuinely love Emma and her T-shirts! It's my weekly routine now.
Thank you for giving your time to bring us such expert, in depth content twice a week.
Your work is the best I have ever watched on UA-cam. Its second to none 😊
This gives me chills now, as I was an 8yr old playing on edge of Wanneroo forest at that time!
I luckily have awesome memories of that time and area.
Love you work Emma 😘 ❤
Love all ur episodes, I'm a counsellor, though haven't counselled for some years now, and the older I get the more I'm sickened by the brutal acts of humans. Are people born evil or made evil through life's experiences... I don't think we will ever know for sure... Two siblings can have a bad childhood and one grows up to commit awful acts the other is good and kind... Maybe it's about our own resources,.. Thanks Emma for all ur hard work, love all the episodes, and love the way u deliver them.. Facts, empathy and a sense of humour. Keep up the good work. Tina 😊
That scream gets me every damn time!
Me to and it’s my video 😂. Em x
CAN'T WAIT to see this!! I love Emma's frank orofessional insights and personal commentary!!
English is not my first language. I’ve been looking up “orofessional” and could not find anything. I mean, my goodness, I’m so stupid. I can’t believe I didn’t think “type-o”. I’ve been angry all day and you had me laughing at my own incredible stupidity. Honestly, you made my day end better without even realizing it. Thanks! Cheers!
Me too!
My favourite crime channel so far on UA-cam! I love how in depth Emma goes in terms of the context of the crimes and the potential psychological profile of the perpetrators.
Never heard of this crime story either Emma ..such sick individuals..That young girl was so brave ..Thanks for another great video..I've always been fascinated by true crime ..I can never understand what goes through there heads ..I cry if I step on a 🐌 ..My nephew studied forensic science and the stories I've heard 😱..look forward to the next video 🤟
My family & I lived in Perth for 13 yrs in the late 80's to 2002. Hearing you talk about places so familiar to me was shocking. What dangerous, reprehensible couple they were. I didn't t know about them so in a way they faded away............Their poor victims, may they RIP.
Another superb delivery about this serial killing couple. I had never heard of them. I love your unique style. Brilliant as I have said before. You’re a natural ‘storyteller ‘. Thanks and I look forward to your next narration. Maria
Thanks for your hard work researching and presenting this Emma - what a horrifying situation for those poor women x
Bloody Hell.. Don't be sneezing in her library! I love the way you tackle these really serious issues while being able to inject a bit of humour without offending or being disrespectful. Thanks for another Fabulous Show.. Be Safe.. Be Lucky.. ✌️
These two are for sure the folie à deux truely terrifying case, thank you Emma 😡💔
There’s no cooling off period for these killers! They’re so violent. Thanks Emma ❤️
How have I never heard of this? Thanks Emma, this was an insane episode 🖤
I’d recognise that instantaneous rage in Catherine as BPD rage. I’ve just discovered I have BPD and when the rage strikes, describing it as a ‘split second’ change is like describing it taking a lifetime. It really is instantaneous xxxxxxxxxx Thanks Emma
I seen the movie about these people called Hounds of Love, absolutely sickening and shocking..oh and I absolutely love your channel, you have got this UA-cam thing down to a T..I'm so hooked lol x
Omg I just watched this movie a couple of weeks ago and it was a goodie! True life Aussie films are the best.
But the ending was not what happened in real life
I’m in Australia, so I’m disappointed to miss this one! But will def watch tomorrow…can’t wait to see your take on this one tho 💛
Yeah I got up at 4am just to finally join the live chat.. But I am glad we have a great show to watch...U gotta love her ✌️ N💚, Stacey Roy, Australia.
@@trueblue2869 agree, one of my fave channels! one of these days will do the same, but 7 am wake up week days 🥴 dunno how you did it!!!
While we can certainly empathize with the bad childhood we need to remember:
their siblings also had a bad childhood and didn't turn out this way.
Well, David's brother did. He became a rapist and a paedophile.
Your channel just keeps growing! Your format is great as well as the topics and analysis. Thanks for sharing.
I’m blown away tbh. Thankyou for watching. It means a lot . Em xx
I just truly appreciate the way you explain these cases, even ones I have heard before. Your explanation of the psychological issues behind the criminals is so interesting. I would love for you to cover the case of Toyah Cordingly. A horrific murder with so many questions.
the way you described the surviver going back to the house she experienced trauma in and her complete distress, made me go trought it with her in a way like i was there. im in a rabbit hole of your videos since a few days and i have no complains about it. all my love and support to you and i hope you will continue. im obsessed
Come for the t-shirts stay for the content.🤩
The introduction music gets me every time! I love this channel and Emma x
Serial killers should never be paroled
Looking forward to hearing this one emma. Thanks for all you do for us!☺️☺️👏👏❤️❤️
You have become my favourite UA-cam true crime reporter. Thanks Emma x
I've never heard of these two. Very similar to Fred & Rose West in many ways. The final victim that managed to escape is one brave soul! Thanks for another fascinating episode Emma :D
Yes, they are horrendous. Em xx
Thanks for your time and dedication to these. I love hearing your thoughts about it. My highlight of the week. Especially as I actively look for documentaries you are in.
Can’t believe this is #26 already. Loved every one 🖤🖤
I’m loving Emma K. She is now one of my favourite true crime youtubers and I always look forward to Sundays and Wednesdays. She’s so interesting to watch and tells these stories fairly and with compassion. Thanks Emma x
Hi Emma. Im Scottish but had never heard of this case. Thanks for featuring. Enjoying all your True Crime series. Very interesting. Well done on ur great work. 👏👏
Who was this Irene that Catherine was writing too? Love the videos Emma. I first found you on Britain's darkest taboos but I'm glad you have a channel to dedicated to the bit TV cut out
I lived in Willagee when these two were active. I remember walking past Moorehouse St numerous times on our way to McDonalds on Leach Highway. Crazy when I think about it now. A big hello to Emma, I just love listening to your take on these cases, I always learn something new when you talk about them. One case Id love to hear your take on is that of Wesley Allan Dodd, he was a nasty piece of work.
So did my mum and her sister, just around the corner and they were around the same age as the girls that got taken.
I live in Perth, where these crimes occurred. David Birnie hung himself in prison after his pornography was taken away from him.
Lol you spoiled the end 😂😂😂 but had a good laugh
Looking forward to this one! I am from Australia. Thanks Emma . Love your channel :)
I was like yay an Australian crime. Then I was like is that the right reaction? Haha
@@christaldawn8625 Exactly my thought :)
This is my favourite programme/channel out of everything on tv and online..netflix/prime or roku cannot touch this..in my humble opinion 😊
You can really feel the passion you have in you're content , as someone who is watching true crime almost 24/7 I watch alot of creators and I feel your way of presenting these cases is very different and captivating x very well done xx ( and you're absolutely stunning 😍)
One of the most horrifying cases I have seen covered to date across the platforms I follow. Emma, love your content and the “way” you go through the cases!!! Thanks so much!!!!!
I must say that I have been binging on your channel for the past few days to take my mind off covid, and you seem to never disappoint, justbrilliant and so down to earth, thankyou and keep it coming 😄🙏
I’d love to hear your take on the Russell Williams case in Canada. Truly rare and horrific.
Part of my weekly programming. Thank you Emma you’re doing a fantastic job. Two case suggestions the Ken and Barbie killers, the menedez brothers. These are cases I really struggle to understand 🙏❤️
Congrats on breaking 50k subscribers!!
So glad I found your channel, Emma! I have seen you do analyses on true crime television shows in the past. Your analysis of the Aaron Campbell case I found particularly interesting. Have you ever done anything on the Fourniets? Their story seems similar to the Birnies in many ways. Is there any way you could do a show about Wolfgang Abel and Marco Furlan in the future? My understanding is that mission based killers are rare, and there is very little information available about them (in English.) Thank you for what you do. (And we ADORE your tshirts! 😄)
Such a lovely comment. Thankyou. Em xx
Ah that’s lovely and isn’t it a great little community on here ! I haven’t seen an argument yet and that’s so rare!
Thank you ❤ had to skip a tiny bit about the actual crimes because i end up too affected sometimes... hard to believe that these 2 heinous examples of humanity really truly exist.
This story is similar to the Netflix film ‘believe me’. Such a terrifying account of what these women went through. I fear for my own kids safety.
That was an incredible film I think she did a phenomenal job as an actress
It is a great film, it's about the incredible Lisa Mcvey. She was a victim of American serial killer Bobby Joe Long.
Yeah I thought that too
I live in Perth and a close relation of mine was actually in the same prison as Catherine Birny for a short time - she was apparently very quiet, worked in the library. The murder of Anita Cobby here in Australia was an absolute horror story too, which maybe you could cover 🇦🇺🇦🇺
I've watched every single video you've uploaded but that intro scream gets me. Every, time! 🤣 even when I prepare myself x
Same here 😂👀. Em x
You should cover the case of Anita Cobby it’s truely heartbreaking.
Very sad
There isn't really any mystery to that one yes it was not nice but it was just a straight forward murder in the end
I met Catherine Burnie in 89-90 at Bandiup women's prison.. She was at that time, a tiny, small framed woman. The only thing I can say that stood out to me was her intense blue eyes. I remember thinking wow.. this is 'Catherine Burnie'! It really did challenge and change my perspective of 'what does a serial killer look like?' At that time she had become a Christian. Good coverage, thanks...
I'd like to see what you would do with the story of the Black Metal band Mayhem from Norway and the suicide/ church burnings and murders that happened in the early '90's. Seeing as you are into the Metal genre, I'd love to see your take on it.
Loving this channel, Emma! X
I'm from Perth and learned a lot of new things - well done! 👏
Loooove that you're on YT🙌🖤
Emma I'm loving your content! The way you tell the stories with such passion is captivating!
Could you cover the case of David oakes? I'm local to that area and the case is truly shocking! I've never seen anyone cover this story before.. It'll be really interesting to hear your opinions 💚
He is on my list so yes, defo. Em x
Wow thanks Emma for another compelling case story.
I drive past Bandyup prison, (this is the prison that this absolutely disgusting woman is kept in) on the outskirts of Perth Western Australia, every time I visit my parents. Infact, I drove past there today! I have to admit being a tad scared as I drive past, knowing that SHE is JUST THERE!
I know its very doubtful she will ever get out but God help us all IF for some reason she does!
No one in Perth would be safe from this monster!
On a slightly lighter note 😁
I do love hearing your views & description of these disgusting true crimes & whist it can be entertaining, we MUST remember the victims & all that you speak about REALLY DID HAPPEN! TO REAL PEOPLE!
May EVERY SINGLE VICTIM you speak about in these TRUE crimes REST IN PEACE ❤
Keep up the great work Emma 👍🤗
Always look forward to watching Emma's channel.
Plus like to see what T-shirt she has on!
She Ra has been my fave so far 🗡😆👕
Would you consider telling the beast of Jersey story emma? Thanks for this one.x
I sure will in the future . Xx
You rock girl! Your coverage and research is ALWAYS impeccable.✊✨🌻
The research is far from impeccable. An eight year old cannot be involved in the justice system in Oz, end of.
Very interesting analysis Emma! Thank you...I listen to your podcasts at night and for some bizarre reason they help me to relax!
I’ve never heard of this case , really interesting as always . I’m totally hooked on your channel. Thank you ❤️
Love Emma’s videos and content, love we get the back story and her professional explanations really helps to understand. My absolute favourite channel!! If you read this Emma I would love for the Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom case to be covered, this was utterly horrendous and I don’t think very well known x
long awaited alway interesting, educating and entertaining to listen to
Yay new episode is up!
Only 5 mins in but I have to say, my heart breaks for the kind of terrible upbringing they both had, especially David 😣
This should be an interesting one for sure. Grabbing a cuppa for this :)
Love your name
excellent insight into the minds of the killer, told with due compassion, well done Emma Kenny, excellent viewing, thank you.
Hi Emma, I've been watching you for years on various different crime shows in fact I'm pretty sure you were in one about escalators last week lol. I love your channel and the fact you go into so much detail is great, love to get a cuppa and watch your vids!!
Emma could you cover the horrible case of little Victoria Climbié? It is a shocking case of a very young girl that suffered most terribly, was failed by everyone, but to the end had the most beautiful smile.
Oh my god, I've suggested this *adorable* couple several times and now I see that I've missed this documentary. Shame on me. Emma, thank you for this once again great compilation of all the awful facts. I don't know how you do it, putting together footage I couldn't even google before. You are my personal harry potter in a purely crminalistic sense.
Australia's Fred and Rose West. I'm glad the young girl Kate got away to expose them. Also, have you released a video on Joanne Dennehy yet? The female killer who tried to be better than a man at killing. That's the only way I can describe her
Not yet but she is coming. Em x
@@EmmaKennyTV thanks for letting me know ❣️. She is the scariest British killer ever
My true crime Queen, Emma Kenny❣️❣️ 🤩🤩❤️❤️👑👑👏👏💐💐
Another amazing video hun 👍
Honestly love this style and had to share the channel with my friends. You should get on TikTok and show stuff on there, I know there's a huge true crime community there who would love these videos!
I’m Australian, there’s definitely some interesting and shocking cases that have happened here. If you get a chance to look into Ivan Milat, that was a huge deal when it happened and even still now years later. Also Kathrine Knight is very chilling just to name a couple
Kath pettingil is pretty shocking too
Claremont Killings, that terrified Perth, WA for years. I would love to hear Emma’s take on that case and Shandee Blackburn case also.
Can't wait to hear your take on these two nasty piece's of work. Glad you are doing one from my country Australia. Alarm set for 4am to watch tomorrow morning
Hahaha the perfect librarian 😂 I love your story telling and the sarcasm and whit x
It was a very scary time in Perth with these two on the prowl. Remember being in Fremantle the day the young girl was found and the police were looking for these two monsters.
Ooh I was so pleased to discover that Emma has her own channel now! I'd see her appear in different true crime
shows across UA-cam/TV all the time. It's great to see a familiar face on a channel that offers excellent insight and some wonderful commentary. Binge watching all the videos now. Best of luck! 🧡
Brilliant just brilliant ❣️ I love the way you present true crime. Keep going 💜
"She sounds like the perfect librarian" 🥰 Killing it Em! Just when I think your videos can't get any better you prove me wrong 😁 You are the crime queen 👑😘
Great job, as always, reporting on true crime.
There’s a case from where I’m from in Canada that is so intriguing and I think would be so interesting for you to cover. The victim is called Kimberly Proctor and she was a teen brutally murdered by two other teens. They carried her body in a bag on a bus to dispose of it. It’s so crazy as they were so young but showed so little remorse and had so much planning involved. I havent seen any one else cover this case and I really think you would do such a great job in telling the story and dissecting their minds. I think one of the murderers’ fathers is even in prison for a murder himself. Just thought it might be something for you to look into! love your stuff always! Xx
look forward to sundays now i'm a total true crime junkie and love the way you tell these stories emma thank you for your time and effort ohh and love how you just say it as it is :) xx
We love our growing family too. I've watched you for years in docs, when I talk about you my husband says "IS THAT THE PRETTY ONE" 😍😍
Honestly so glad my mum recommended your channel to me. Really love this style
Your mums got good taste
THANK YOU EMMA , ENGAGING , IN DEPTH N MEANINGFUL AS ALWAYS.
As far as Catherine walking out on her five remaining children, I can see attachment disorders, and low self worth after her childhood of being choofed around with no real home etc sparking that abandonment after the death of her child. Something along the lines of "I couldn't keep them safe;I'm such a bad mother I let one get run over right in front of me and couldn't stop it or fix it. So they're better off without me, their father/my in laws will protect them better than I can. I'm basically a wicked woman who doesn't deserve safe happy children or a safe happy marriage"
I'm getting really invested in this one, thank you Emma.
I'm Australian, their names are familiar but I have no idea about their crimes, apart from the hints you've dropped.
As in my other comment, I do see strong parallels with the Wests. Even the unhealthy control and influence David had over her from such a young age.
On a lighter note, which of us mothers haven't secretly longed to leave on a walk...a very long walk? " When will you be home?" " I dunno, I'll send you a postcard! Don't wait up'
I subbed a couple of days ago and I'm loving this channel! Her perspective is very relatable and realistic. Tysm!
That was brilliant !
Bring it on! Thank you Emma 😃😃😃reminder set.
