100% Star Wars: Talking about how unstoppable the eternal fleet is.
*Shows compilation of eternal fleet ships getting destroyed*
😂😂😂 - The logic of Video Game plot armour/power!
Gravestone OP pls nerf
I swear, that was the funniest thing xD
@@Crusader-tg1wx they did that, by also nerfing the eternal fleet, and by nerf I mean both were basically removed as plot elements.
The way I see the Eternal Fleet is that it works in the way that fleets in the series Legend of the Galactic Heroes operate. That being, they have the resources to pump out tens of thousands of ships in regular battles, so much that the tactical maps they use of the battlefield don't show individual ships in formation, but geometric blobs representing the formations. With fleet battles on that scale, the loss of hundreds or even thousands of ships in every engagement is usually acceptable. One episode has the Imperial faction send out a fleet of 3000 warships just as hired muscle to get this one dictator of this one planet to pay their taxes, and even for that, the fleet was seen as unusually small.
Another similarity is that that series also has superweapons that can cut across swarms of ships, the closest to the SW Gravestone being the Asgrimm. SO I think that the Eternal Fleet would have been optimized for large-scale battles against large forces of enemies of in maintaining a presence across numerous fronts.
Finally somebody analyzes this powerful fleet
I was waiting for something like this for a while.
100%SW does so much niche SW stuff he's class
Lol ya:
Analysis: Fleet OP Plz Nerf
I didn’t even know about this fleet
Swtor is best
The Eternal Fleet is probably the first major sci fi military force I've seen that effectively utilizes its numbers and the emptiness of space to perform its 3D battle formations. It reminds me of the Roman Legions marching in formation in Spartacus.
how does it do that?
@@stevenirizarry1304 The scene in the movie Spartacus, during the final battle when the armies are facing each other a good portion of the opening moves are done by the Romans as the march and wheel and form lines. It serves as a form of intimidation as well as setting up effective battle formations to use in the open field.
@@stevenirizarry1304 Instead of a line of ships in space, they form up in polygons, usually a diamond formation so that every ship in each fleet can fire on a target at the same time. With their droid controllers, they're capable of maintaining this formation even in hyperspace and are ready to fire almost immediately after dropping to normal space, making them very effective ambushers.
Other than the Eternal Fleet, I can only think of the fleet battles in the 80s anime Legend of Galactic Heroes (and somewhat its recent remake/reimagining), where both sides used orbital mechanics along with three-dimensional maneuvers to wage their battles, taking formations like walls, diamonds, and spheres. Even the small one-man fighters in that show didn't dogfight so much as they slid around with maneuvering thrusters.
The only limitation in that universe to the battles' dimensions was the existence of hyperspace lanes with specific entry and exit points, similar to Star Wars.
@@ForgottenHonor0
Well, we also have Culture and the Forerunners who used higher dimensional manipulation to hinder the momentum of the enemies or straight up eradicate them...
For Culture, they basically ripped apart space-time across a star system and wiped out everything within...
Then there is the Xeelee, whose naval tactic involved messing up timestreams so badly to ensure they wouldn't lose...

With your birth comes a solemn vow.

@Exar kun Castillo they won't ruin it as long as they hire people who understand the source material and know what they're doing
@Exar kun Castillo they just gotta hire drew karpyshyn and I can assure you it's gonna be one of the best and most meaningful star wars movies you've ever seen.
@Exar kun Castillo maybe but let's be real here, look at the darth bane trilogy, and even lowest lows of drew are still 100 times superior to the sequels and more authentic to star wars
4:26 destroying a single one is an impossible task while looking at multiple ships getting destroyed
It was just those two, I promise - The rest were super duper un-destroyable!
Yeah, I wondered about that...
@@100StarWars can you make a video about what life was like in the reconstituted Sith empire
@4:28 _"...but destroying a single one was almost impossible."_
Immediately shows said ship taking heavy fire and breaking apart. Lol, subscribed.
There are a lot of scary shit hanging out in the galaxy beyond the sight of people. Lost and extremely powerful fleets, eldritch abominations, ancient and powerful constructs from a long extinct empire, and depending on whether or not it's cannon a ravenous horde of omnivorous (emphasis on the omni) space worms that can be remote controlled.
"Your off the map, here be monsters" seems fitting for the galaxy.
So speaks the Dark Lord Barbossa
The ancient Star Wars galaxy was on some WH40K/Lovecraft levels of chaotic and bizzare shit; and I love it. Interdimensional wraiths, daemoniac races that live only to serve their evil gods, planet-galaxy shattering cosmic abominations that were never suppose to exist, ancient/highly advanced civilizations amoral to all beneath them, angelic entities with universal power, and a myriad of other stuff. Legends absolutely kills the whole "basic" sci-fi concept people like to attribute to vanilla Star Wars (movies) at face value.
@@blackshogun272 I agree.
Yeah, some super crazy stuff out there, just chillin and waiting to be discovered.... horrific stuff.
@@blackshogun272 So at some point Star Wars was as chaotic as 40k?
"But destroying one was an almost impossible task." Proceeds to show two getting destroyed immediately at the start of a fight.
by the one ship capable of it by design.
@@MrEcoho Still doesn't help to emphasize a point. Well, it could if you know the context of the given cutscene. Which I don't have.
Finally someone is talking about the Eternal Empire and it's fleet, I love this era of legends so much
" In 3 months the bulk of our naval forces were disabled or annihilated the Eternal Fleet seem to be everywere at once "
- Lana Beniko
@Poo Maker Yep
Yeah, that seems plausible. NOT! Really, people should just ignore Zakuul, it's such a bad, incoherent story.
@@goransekulic3671 Im pretty sure you dont speak for everyone , incoerent history is what i would say for the sequels
@@arroz6200 One garbage doesn't refute another. :)
Eh, with that said I wouldn't have anything against Zakuul IF it wasn't shoehorned in so badly. It just feels like an entirely different story for an entirely different game, set in SWTOR era. KoTOR 3, maybe? But it's not SWTOR.
@@arroz6200 Also, I am speaking only for myself. But also stating some facts combined with personal judgments. I am NOT speaking for others and I don't intend to.
huge fan of the Star wars old republic lore! way to go 100% you've got yourself a new subscriber! Well put together research, and a good oratory presence, you got this!
Thanks a lot, Ian! Means the world :)
The story of Arcaan, Thexan, Vaylin, Senya and Valkorion was AMAZING.
I thought it was AMAZING. We need more stories like that in Canon
Maybe I would've enjoyed it more if they didn't make my extremely powerful Sith Warrior into what seemed to be a ragdoll to be tossed around by Bioware's special original characters. Really didn't feel like my story, more like I was a fifth wheel.
Tbh I find Valkorion/Vitiate to be bit of a Mary Sue villain but the story of rest of the family is pretty good
No, it was not amazing, it was incoherent garbage. Convince me how does one hide such a fleet? Exogol? Didn't we unanimously agree that Exogol is garbage? Why is Zakuul not a garbage then? Further, the entire point was that you can't conquer the Republic, you can only corrupt it, like Palpatine did. How come some "so cool" Navy was able to do what entire Empires were not able to do? It also ruined everything that came before it...
It is called: garbage.
@@CaseyHarMegiddo I completely agree with that. The way they just dumped all two addons's story with Iokath and next arcs was horrible. The story indeed had to be reseted in order to match the SW universe, but that way was so poorly done, that I wanted to refund my subscription.
@@goransekulic3671 first off zakkul and the fleet were in the unknown region where many secrets and empires were hidden in the long history of star wars, now I'm not discussing the writing as I find I don't have a strong sentiment about it, but people need to remember that a galaxy is huge, space is huge, a fleet can be hidden.
I adore this area. It was my intro to Star Wars. The original opening music to SWTOR is etched in my brain as the first Star Wars media I ever heard.
Yeah the trailers for this game are amazing.
Fun fact: Some of the soundtrack in SWTOR is shared with KOTOR. So if you ever play that, there may be a few tracks you recognise :)
Star Wars has become more like an actual culture then a franchise
Eck I must say this is the best person you’ve had come in yet. Presenting lore is all about the speakers tone and energy and you can tell he’s got a passion for Star Wars. Speaking for the community once you’re off leave we’d love a colap
The one flaw in Valkorion’s master plan was that he tempted fate but putting “eternal” in front of everything
While I really like the detail and everything, one thing really bothers me: Darth Marr and the hero of Tython (at 7:20). If I remember correctly, the Outlander never was confirmed to be the Hero of Tython. It isn‘t even clear to which faction, Republic or Empire, he belonged to. The Outlander could’ve also been Darth Nox or the Emperor‘s Wrath for all we know.
It’s kind of a generally accepted/unspoken rule that the Jedi Knight is the “main character” of the game. In the same way that they have a semi-canon in mind for each class’ story decisions (example, canonically Knight was played Light side) they have to have some baseline when writing the story.
And adding to this is the Knight’s class story that involves the Emperor more than any other class story. But that doesn’t invalidate other classes being the Outlander. It’s just how the story has to be structured to start writing it.
As I understand it, at least.
@@teathomas Bingo ^
Valkorion inspired Sidious Final Order probably. Sidious might even a descendant of Valkorion through Arcann or Vaylin.
Please just no
Wouldn’t it be epic if Palpatine was just another one of Valkorian’s vessels
They aren't even in the same canon
Valkorian did not inspire the idiotic order and Sidious was from Naboo, one of the Nobel houses of Naboo to be precise...
And someone went and made a story about how Palpy absorbed Vitiate's spirit or some damn thing. It was weird. Vitiate literally absorbed all the life on his homeworld, and he's weaker then ol' falls-down-reactor-shafts somehow?
One of my favorite moments is when the Sith Fleet comes to save the day at Voss. As well as how Darth Marr's Terminus cruiser was able to last long. It's a testament to how tough the Imperial Navy is. Glory to the Sith Empire!
Thank you for touching on this! Not sure if it was because of a comment I made on another vid but thanks for touching on the Old Republic and Valkorian. Still watch the game cutscenes because it’s so interesting
Vitiate / Valkorion is probably the only Sith that could go toe-to-toe against Nihilus. Their battle would have been epic.
Huge thanks to 100% Star Wars for covering for me. Check out his amazing channel! ua-cam.com/users/100StarWars

WHOOOA YOU GAVE 100% STAR WARS THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES!!!
Seriously guys, if you like Old Republic content then his channel is seriously one of the best and most underrated out there
With how advanced the eternal empire was and the resources it had, i wonder how the eternal empire would do against the galactic empire.
100%StarWars fully deserves the love. His channel is amazing, been following it since the beginning!
Never played the game but the story is insanity 😳😱
Play it, its so much fun!
Combat is dull, but the story is phenomenal! It's still a worthy Star Wars game. On top of that, it's one of the last games that take place in the original Star Wars timeline. Not the new Disney one.
HELLL YESSS FINALLY YOU DO A VIDEO ABOUT LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE FlEET IN LEGENDS. The eternal empire's design and concept is honestly the most underrated in star wars. At least they put effort into designing this fleet. Episode 9 just took ISDs and was like : here new ship now give us money
I remember not even that long ago that eck was just passing 100k, its absolutely insane to watch one of your favorite youtubers grow and help people who was once him at a time
i wish this was canon. The knights look so cool...
I was literally glued to my seat when I played the expansion for the first time
Eck you’re a genius. Getting a little well-deserved break while promoting awesome UA-camrs!
As a Jedi Guardian main, I appreciate that the Guardian was used in this video. Also best title for that class is Battlemaster.
Jedi Knight makes the most sense in the expansions. I personally main my Sentinel, but I do enjoy tanking on Guardian. I was so happy at the end of SoR when I got granted the title of Battlemaster
@@kale3144 Jedi knight is acknowledged by Bioware as the Canon class for expansions
@@tormak I dont think you understand how happy that makes me
@@tormak
Yeah... I'll ask for source on that one
@@kale3144
Yeah, Sith Warrior makes sense too, but that's pretty much it.
The rest of the classes seem a bit out of place, especialy the non-Force sensitive ones
while I have come to see the Zakuul Expansion less favorably in recent times, the lore of the Eternal fleet was long overdue.
Small correction, it wasn’t the hero of Tython that was captured with Mar it was “the outlander.”
I always use The Hero of Tython in these videos just for continuity. But you are right, it can be any of the main Protags! :)
Yes, the Outlander is a completely new character. If you ask me, it's none of the original 8. JK simply has the biggest chance of being "the Outlander" due to shared history with Vitiate.
Should've really been a new game rather than a part of SWTOR. But it was cost effective to shove it into SWTOR and they hired just the right prick for such a maneuver(Ben).
Dude this was amazing. The editing was FREAKING AWESOME. I'm checking out this dude, thanks ECK!
Anyone else think that the Star Hawk from Squadrons was inspired by the GraveStone?
Went and Subscribed, also @7:27 that's xLetalis character isn't it.
I love this guy lol his kotor character overviews and the 5 part exactly kun series is awaome
Great video, both y’all combining forces!!! Plus talking about my personally favorite era of Star Wars
The true final order
Isn't that the dark empire?
The Eternal Fleet could take on Palpatine’s fleet
Real good stuff, nice video. Thanks 100% and eck. I'm playing swtor right now, so this was the fastet click in the known galaxy
Thank god someone finally talks about the most powerful that will ever exist in my opinion. You think u can do a video on the eternal army next?
This was awesome thanks for the video!
The Eternal Empire is my favorite Star Wars faction and I'm glad it's getting more love now.
3 most powerful fleets:
Dark empire fleet
Galactic Empire fleet
Eternal Empire fleet
Yes someone talks about this fleet! I’ve waited so long for a Star Wars UA-camr to go in depth about it!
Finally a video on this topic ❤️
Now I want too now how the eternal empire would have handled a yuuhzan vong (hope I wrote it right) invasion when they where able too get a good foothold and time too regenerate
I need a continuation of the story! What was found in the planets core? Loved the video thanks for featuring him. Subscribing for sure
Got a sub from me dude one of my favorite Star Wars breakdowns I’ve seen I’ve always been fascinated with the eternal empire but never knew much abt them
"It is you who fears death,"Valkorion",i do not.I will not kneel." At the time i was playing SW,alot, that part when Marr is brought to Valkorion throne ship... still gives me the goose bumps.Have to go back one of this days, see if my things are still there ;)
With all that power, the Emperor still dies to his children and the Outlander.
Its the idiocy of the sith way. He told his kids to figure out who wants to live. Every time this has occurred it seems among sith often the one subjecting trainees or kids to duel to live. Ended up dead usually due to hate of the surviver.
It was part of his plan. Only the body he was possessing died. Then he took over the body of the Outlander, the most powerful Force-user in the Galaxy after himself. It was a plot point that Abrams tried and failed to rip off in Episode IX.
If you ask me, the Emperor died on DK and none of this happened. Late SW story is also quite garbage, so it can be safely ignored. Ziost is also a potential place, but dramatically none of this makes sense. It's just another story showed forcefully into another story. Ok, it might not be garbage but how Ben introduced it and how brazenly it interrupts and waylays SWTOR...no way, fuck that! Ben Wilson sucks, ok? He's a bad, incompetent, self righteous prick.
@@goransekulic3671 Tbh you seem to be the only self righteous prick here.
Im already subbed and was shocked to see this. Good vid my dude
Palpatine ain’t got nothing on Vitiate.
Look up Dudufilms’ Valkorion vs. Sidious video.
It’s the closest we’ve got to a duel between them at the moment, and IMO it’s pretty good
I agree
Palpatine and the Galactic Empire is far more superior to the Eternal fleet in terms of galactic dominance, finance, and power. Palpatine’s power itself of course depends on which version of him you’re comparing, be it from the movies, the comics, the animations etc. The Galactic Empire’s technology appears to be at a disadvantage considering the Eternal fleet’s cloaking mechanisn however.
@Exar kun The dark side cosmic entity Palpatine’s fleets where much better than anything Valkorion built, the Imperial navy was literally designed as an improvement on the old Sith navy and the Eternal fleet had almost no fighter capacity and where thousands of years behind the Empire in terms of tech.
@Exar kun The dark side cosmic entity which one? I’ve seen all of them and yeah they where, the Xyston was a stupid design but the galactic empire and Palpatine’s resurgent fleet in the comics where both better. Newer, better designed, bigger, more fighters, and better weapons
Malak’s has a fleet associated with an ancient civilization, Valkorion has a fleet associated with an ancient civilization. Is there anyone else who has a fleet associated with an ancient civilization that I should know about!?
I really like this idea of letting other creators fill in slots for your uploads, I've never seen anything like it and I'm very excited!

Rise of Skywalker straight up stole the idea of this with their "Sith Eternal Fleet"
Also Exegol = Iokath (in terms of what it can do)
disney literally robbed SWTOR
@Darth Sidious Only Similarity is its name? There is a capital ship that controls all other ships its excatly the same technology used in the eternal fleet with the throne where who ever was using the throne or the capital ship could control the eternal fleet.
I assume you havent played kotet/kotfe
