Valkorion was the greatest. The Sith depended on him for their survival for millennia, he was their god, that is why they withered in his absence. He outgrew the Sith and their Empire, hence why he abandoned them for Zakuul. The dark side was insufficient for him, he wanted to experience the force in its totality. Revan opened his eyes to this when he almost defeated him using both sides of the force in balance. In Zakuul, he was free to pursue new things that the Sith would have deemed him weak for: love, above all. This explains the change in his personality from the ruthless destroyer of worlds, to the loving husband and the father of three children. He could be whoever he wanted without the chains being Sith imposed on him. Realising this only magnified his power and his perspective.
Wouldn't exactly call him a "loving" father but i agree. Senya mentions quite a few times that he was distant and cold to his children. Would go weeks without speaking to them. Turned his daughter into a force slave and his sons into insane warlords

However, he is still power-hungry and willing to rule a strong empire. As Valkorion, Tenebrae matured and actually removed any thought of devouring all life and simply used it as an idle threat if all came to oppose him. He loved Senya but his love doesn't extend to his children because how he fears their power and fears that they will grow up into ruthless leaders who will one day overthrow him. Tenebrae sees a lot of himself in Vaylin and worked to dominate her so she won't overthrow him similar to how he overthrew his own father. It is interesting that all of Zakuul saw him as a good leader (not a good person) who actually gave his people comfortable and peaceful lives. He did not impose the Sith doctrine on his people but somewhat on his children. Overall, Tenebrae is a monster but is a complicated villain because his final attachments are what led to his own defeat. His final attachments were his family and he loved them in his own twisted way. However, Tenebrae's actions led to his family helping the Jedi and the Sith destroy him once and for all. Tenebrae loves life to the point he hates the Sith for discarding life and hates the Jedi for sacrificing themselves for the sake of people they do not know. The Jedi and the Sith believe Tenebrae is a monster who cannot change. However, they are wrong as Tenebrae did love Zakuul and his family in his own twisted way. Great insight! But I’m wondering. If Valkorion aka Vitiate loves Senya (we can assume he loves her) than why didn’t he save her when she dies? Just I’m curious yours opinion on this topic.
As far as who "kills" Valkorian in the initial scene part (before Valkorian inhabits Outlander's mind), that is totally controlled by whether the player Kneels or not (In-game choice). If player kneels, Arcann stabs his father. If player refuses to kneel, player stabs Valkorian.
While it is true that Arcann does not have a lightsaber style shown in the initial intro scenes, he does battle the Outlander in the dock of Asylum, so if you play that chapter (ASYLUM) it does have scenes of him using his yellow lightsaber.
Been playing the classes in SWTOR and have been wondering how Sidious is considered "The strongest Sith to ever live" considering he only reigned for a few decades and certainly didn't do a quarter of the things Vitiate did. Forget about lifespan, and percentage of their life spent actually in power of the Empire. Granted, Sidious *did* wipe out the Jedi, in practicality at least. But Vitiate ruled for a looooong time and lived through just so many different people and lives. Just touching so much throughout his life.
Valkorian never ruled the galaxy. Yeah, he lived for much longer than sideous but I honestly think that in combat sideous would win due to his incredible lightsaber skills and power in the force. They were both really smart and they honestly had similar goals but in the end they both failed.
I think it’s the sheer control sidous had. You can suck the souls out of all the planets you want, rule several skeleton empires in the unknown regions, and be an immortal “god” but we never mention Vitiate/Valk without some form of open conflict or him hiding. He never held the galaxy with such a iron grip (even for a brief time) to where to only “rebellion” is small cells of insurgents that take literal acts of plot to make work.
Palpatine is an inherited nepotism-baby though. All of his success comes from the groundwork laid during the last 1000 years through the rule of 2. Don’t forget, Darth Plageuis wasn’t killed until RotS. Much of what transpired wasn’t because of palps, but instead his master.

Notice how I said "reigniting"
Its so easy to say that this should just be its own film, but it would be veryyyyyyy difficult to pull off. Vitiate's reign spanned over 1,000 years, there's just no way to cover all that ground in a movie or even a trilogy and have it make sense. You'd have no continuity of protagonists, because Vitiate lives for so long, a Jedi's lifetime is a nap for him, so you'd have no central hero to root for. You'd have to chop it up, and split it into three different time periods of his life. The end of the hyperspace war where he gained immortality and flees into exile/ His initial onslaught against the republic and rivalry with Revan/ His final push as Valkorian.
I dont know why star wars movies continue to focus on the Skywalker line so much when these awesome characters exist in the lore! This is the movie trilogy I want!
Because most of this stuff didnt exist before the prequels and obviously didnt exist before the originals. Cant say the same for the sequels. They shouldve just went with the old republic instead copying the original trilogy
The reason Arcann’s force lightning was different was because he was trained in the unique force traditions of Zakuul. Those traditions where neither light or dark by nature.

Arkan didn't pin anything on the Outlander, it was The Outlander that struck Valkorion down. Stabed him in the back, and I believe the Outlander said you should have killed me when you had the chance and Valkorion responded so be it and started to laugh and then his spirit then entered the outlander's body and slowly started the process of grooming him into his next vessel while he was encased in carbonite.
Yes true man. Arcann killing valk is just the uncanon dark ending when outlander kneels. But outlander would never kneel to hus worst enemy so He killed valk.
@1qplayer626 There is a storyline it actually makes sense to pick it in, if you go the Sith Warrior route you end up having a very close connection with Valkorian BEFORE the stab happens so it would make sense to kneel

Actually it is stated that Zakuuluns did not wield either the dark nor the light side, rather their strength in the force was based on their commitment to their leader or to Zakuul itself. This dialogue takes place between the Outlander and Lana within the 3rd chapter of KOTFE. This would most probably extend to Thexan & Arcann as well as to his sister Vaylin, although clearly both Arcann & his sister Vaylin exhibited actions that would be considered dark in retrospect. (Thexan never got a chance to rule as he was slain - possibly accidently - by Arcann (when Arcann was trying to kill Valkorian - see beginning montage of chapters for KOTFE)
The only one who really seemed to use the "neutral" aspect of the Force is Thexan. Arcann and his sister were clearly darksiders and Vailyn never cared for Zakuul or her father and yet she was the strongest
Stopped watching this part way through to avoid spoilers. Maybe I should go back and pick up where I left off with SWTOR? Don't recall quite how far I got into the content with Valkorian but it wasn't too deep and it was many years ago since I last played it.
I don't believe for a second that sideous is more powerful than some of the ancient sith. Better at scheming yes but we have never seen or heard of him doing anything close to what we've heard of some of the ancient sith do.
Same. Maybe it’s because we ‘know’ him so much more, but I never thought he was all that, and a bag of chips. But I think Palpatine ruined him for me; I found him instantly unlikeable as a smarmy politician (as intended by the writers) so I subconsciously minimized his power as compared to the old days. This is precisely why I like books, audio comics, fan films, and dedicated Lore channels so much more than theater films. Sure, special effects are great, but really bad writing and character development, bad acting, and plot abuse can REALLY ruin a story and particular characters for me…I never cared for (don’t blast me) Mark Hamil, so I could never get onboard with Luke; that adolescent actor who played Anakin, ugh - thank God Vader has his mask; C3P0, I just want to dismember; the Ewoks, annoying little ankle biters. But then there’s Rogue One - loved it, loved everything about it, and am genuinely interested in reading/watching stories about the characters. If the entire theater film opera was like Rogue One, I’d be all over them; if The Old Republic and old Sith could be written about like it…so awesome. If not, disney needs to just walk right on my and leave anything BBY alone. Fortunately, I found a way to solve this hangup - after partway through Solo, I just stopped watching disney films.

Vitiate, his dread masters and scientists tested many things on him, which made led him to become the shadow of revan after his death. This was his most powerful version. The story picks after the shadow of revan tries to revive the emperor only to have the emperor kill everything around him and devour yet another planet (ziost) leaving it lifeless like nathema. He "combined" with his other half valkorion and was back to full power and then some, that is when he sent archann and thexan to start attacking and easily defeating both the republic and empire in the outskirts. After humiliating defeats, darth marr decided to call for volunteers from both the empire and republic to join together to find and kill the emperor for good. Hoping there's a few stories on this. Didn't realise there was this much extra lore in SW.
You have no idea bro 😂
This would be a phenomenal and an engaging live action series over multiple seasons.
While it is true that Arcann does not have a lightsaber style shown in the initial intro scenes, he does battle the Outlander in the dock of Asylum, so if you play that chapter (ASYLUM) it does have scenes of him using his yellow lightsaber.
I've watched this so many times already.
Disney should litterally make the old republic TV series around this era.
A trilogy or saga would be better
@Luke Muncaster TV show fleshes it out better but a movie/trilogy would look amazing. A TV series leading to a movie would be crazy tho
@@scarecrow9868 I agree
First. Also Darth Vitiate/Emperor Valkorion is easily one of my favorite Star Wars characters
We need this to become a show or movie trilogy. These story lines are so interesting!
We need movies of this era. There are so many possibilities.
he's the best thing in star wars hands down.
There so many good star war stories.....why did they have to destroy Luke's story
?? "They" didn't
@@stargatecommand714 It is when they make him unlearn everything he learned throughout the original trilogy just to have him kill himself and go out like a b***.
@@Lobsterwithinternet lmao guess saving the Resistance, reigniting your legend, and showing your opponent they're not as all powerful as they think they are means you "go out like a b"
@@stargatecommand714 Rofl Rose crashing into Finn did more to delay the First Order than Luke killing himself to troll Kylo did. If he really wanted to show how weak they were, he would have destroyed that entire force using the Force while leaving Kylo alive knowing Luke spared him.
And Luke was already a legend throughout the galaxy before TFA, as Rey herself confirms.
@@Lobsterwithinternet you're missing the point if you wanted the EU Grand Master Luke to show up and stomp everyone. Luke did the most Jedi thing we've ever seen in the movies, he used the Force to truly defend and protect, not attack and kill, taking Yoda's teachings to their full extent.
Great i would love this series
You’re probably right. It would be a story as complex as The Rings.
I really love the ads every 3 min
More fire. Thank you for your work. Best lore channel yet. I am one with the force, the force is one with me
I would love a remastered version of the game.
The Vong invading during peak Sith empire would have been amazing to read
Well done, man. This was excellent.
I really wish they would make an old Republic movie
Will you ever do a lore on Darth Raven?
The audiobook Revan is awesome they have a couple chapters about Lord Viciate I would like to know who the hero of Typhon is
I wish we could get an animated show of the eternal empire with the voice actors.
Yes! Same. Really, any story I come across with Skywalker…I just skip it and find something OR.
@@aleksii_I’m glad they did, otherwise they’d ruin the OR too.
The reason Arcann’s force lightning was different was because he was trained in the unique force traditions of Zakuul. Those traditions where neither light or dark by nature.
A God has no need for a Family.
Valkorian's undoing was having offspring. He should have gotten snipped and wore protection.
First of all, this guy makes sidious look like a school girl. And second to just shadow what everyone else has said why havent they made a movie about this? Honesty watching this is almost better than all of the star wars movies i know ima get alot of hate for that but imagine a real(not Disney) but a rater R star wars movie would be F'in amazing!!!
None from me. You’re right on.
Sideous was trying to recreate what Valkorian did but failed
Arkan didn't pin anything on the Outlander, it was The Outlander that struck Valkorion down. Stabed him in the back, and I believe the Outlander said you should have killed me when you had the chance and Valkorion responded so be it and started to laugh and then his spirit then entered the outlander's body and slowly started the process of grooming him into his next vessel while he was encased in carbonite.
Yes true man. Arcann killing valk is just the uncanon dark ending when outlander kneels. But outlander would never kneel to hus worst enemy so He killed valk.
Actually it depends on what you pick, if you kneel then Arcan stabs him
@1qplayer626 There is a storyline it actually makes sense to pick it in, if you go the Sith Warrior route you end up having a very close connection with Valkorian BEFORE the stab happens so it would make sense to kneel
Should have been the villain of Rise of Skywalker.
It’s not Arkaaaan it’s Arcan 💀😂
One of the best SW sagas, better than anything generated by the Disney/Lucasfilm group.
Love him as a Villan a movie on this man needs to be made
Heh, imagine being the squad assigned to train the twins and Vaylyn - prolly pissed they get to be glorified baby sitters. Then BAM! They get their armor and helmets shrunk.
This is great stuff, Stup.’ I’m kinda new to SW, love history, and have really gravitated to the Old Republic and earlier; thus far, stories related to the Eternal Empire have been my favorites. This documentary listens like a history class! Which I guess it is, but you’ve done a great job at making it like a college course summary, getting all of us students motivated to dig into the deeper backstories.
I wanna know what his lightsaber looks like and the meaning behind all of the golden lightsabers
Great video as always tho!!
"I don't always one-shot my enemies with force lightning, but when i do... it's to some of the most powerful Sith ans Jedi in the galaxy...with one hand." Emperor Valkorian aka The Most Interesting Emperor in the Galaxy 😆is it just me or does this dude look like the Most Interesting Man in the World
True He is the best most powerful and most interesting emperor in galactic history ❤❤❤
Good job!
This game proves that sith can become force ghosts too.
Yes true and even gods
@@1qplayer626like in the anime fairy tail.
They always can become force ghosts
@@EternalEmperorofZakuul yes my emperor
@@EternalEmperorofZakuul yeah but anakin turned back to the light before dying.
@@odd-eyes6363yes arcann did everything for his father while vaylin wanted to be free from him and get revenge
Stopped watching this part way through to avoid spoilers. Maybe I should go back and pick up where I left off with SWTOR? Don't recall quite how far I got into the content with Valkorian but it wasn't too deep and it was many years ago since I last played it.
RICK LONG CANBERRA NERDS INC ! LOVES THIS VIDEO ! KAMBAH REPS ! 😀
We need a complete lore video on Revan
one reason I favour Valkorion more is his dressing style.
This could be the greatest star wars film saga ever made if Disney would allow true creativity to happen at Skywalker films.
Disney wouldn't do it cus there's no girl power bs in it.
Shhhh, I’m hoping disney doesn’t know about the Old Republic. Especially given Team DIE Activist’s penchant for rewriting history.
The second most powerful in all of Star Wars. Other than all the other stuff, lol.
Darth Sidious vs VALKORION would be an interesting fight
Just started star wars old republic again been 11 years since last log in surprisingly 2 of my characters were still there lost my counselor and sith sorcerer
He absolutely eclipsed the power of sidious, it's not really comparable
Lol the emperor formally known as vitiate
He was way more powerful than Sidious

Oh wow, he pretty much made a thought bomb... how original. Does he make a planet that destroys other planets too?

Disney needs this movie
Disney needs to go bankrupt so another studio gets SW - one that’s actually a fan of the story.
He is one of maybe five sith that actually deserve the title of Darth(even though he doesn’t use it).
Vitiate, Adas, Marka Ragnos, and Tulak Hord. I feel like the last one isn’t either Revan or Sidious, but it’s not coming to mind at the moment
Why does Darth Vader not deserve to be a Darth. Or bane and malgus?
@@cngotham4111 Vader was always weaker than Sidious, or at least he was when he no longer had reason not to try to take over. Bane I don't know, he was a good fighter but I feel that ruling because you tricked everyone else into killing themselves doesn't make you a real leader. Malgus because in SWTOR we beat him several times. There should be strict standards for a title like Darth, I think.
@@amberkat8147I kinda agree, but the nature of the Sith is to not have honor, and be all about themselves and their own lust for more power. The best backstabber wins.
i believe vitiate is stronger than palpatine because we havent seen a single feat as strong as vitiates force powers

Its like red alert 3. Suddenly the rising sun came out of nowhere (well due to time change)
Are there any Star Wars Novels or comics that cover the time of Valkerion, the Eternal Fleet his twins etc? I just started the novel”Revan” but not sure where it takes place in the timeline. The videos I’ve seen of some of the Old Republic games show the twins but not sure where it takes place in the timeline. It all looks very interesting.

After revan was defeated a second time by vitiate, he was imprisoned in a prison in deep space past a magnetic field that no one can get through and tortured for 300 years.
And that is where the zakuul storyline begins. It is a very good story, but makes no sense if your toon isn't a force user.

I admire the red sith beings! Shame star wars seems to always make cool alien species/beings go extinct...
And how is Darth Vicia weaker than Palpatine? I have so many questions. (And don't say it was because he is a politician)
Vitiate one shots palpatine. He is a god. Even his children could rival palpatines power. Their golden blades symbolize their divine origin. Tenebrae Was the dark side of the force incarnate and all sith, jedi and his own family had to Band together, but only after they had been absolutely destroyef by him and his children and their eternal empire.
