Nice review, I enjoyed the kind of "behind the scene" footage at the end. I'm glad to see that they are allowing a bit more clearance with the back fender now, my wife has last years Vika+ and I spent a lot of time fiddling with the back fender to stop it from rubbing the tire. Other than that she's been very pleased with it. Keep up the great work!
Great review. I own that new blue Aveny. It's a beautiful bike. Just a bit long to maneuver. I'm 5'2". Blix stepped up and replaced the fork that had a patch of paint that wasn't right. Paid for the installation. Nacho was a great customer service rep to work with. I'm having a hard time putting the custom color basket on without smooshing the wires. An updated video would help. I get a lot of compliments on how beautiful the bike is. I can even ride the bike without power and it is light enough that you feel you're on a regular bike ( battery on the bike or off)
The steel fork absorbs vibration and the longer chain stays do as well. Really no sense in having suspension. Most suspensions are low quality ones made for off road control, not on road comfort.
I think he meant it was noisier than most. My bike (a different brand) dos'nt have a whine like that. I noticed when he rode the other one near the end, it had the same whine. I do like the look of the bike though.
Yeah, I'm not sure why they skipped it. Steel covers can rust, aluminum alloy can rattle and bend, plastic might not look as nice with other paint matched hardware like the fenders and rear rack present. Perhaps the chain guide was seen as enough and they wanted to save money and weight.
Great question Peter! I think the geometry is more relaxed, but the cranks are still inline with the seat tube. So no, I wouldn't consider this "feet forward" like the Electra Townie Go! electricbikereview.com/electra/townie-go-7d/ or Magnum Cruiser electricbikereview.com/magnum/cruiser/ or E-Lux Malibu electricbikereview.com/e-lux/malibu-gt/
You aren't wanting wattage on a fat bike. You want torque. You could throw a 2k watt direct drive on a fat bike and a 500 watt, high torque mid-drive would out perform it. Once you get the highest torque you can get, then start looking at wattage in that range. I think you are going to be disappointed regardless. Unless you switch to lower profile, stiffer side walls, your fatty is going to handle poorly and dive something awful from such high speeds. Cornering will be flat out squirelly, especially if you add suspension (magnifies dive and squirm in cornering).
@@ReefMimic there are several versions of this same bike and I would still lock out the suspension fork even on single track, but it is best for hunting. Have heard of guys pulling a deer on a travoy across a plowed field. It is The Eunarau Fat HD. You could build a better bike and there are a very few factory e-bikes more powerful for your application, but this is the best value. You probably would want to change the chain ring to a 32 tooth Lekkie Bling Ring, but those are cheap.
Well if you only have one tyre size it makes sense to only have one frame size. My take on this is it is a pollution hazard most bikes like this end up in the Netherlands canals after they have been stolen. having the battery in the water as well is not good for the aquatic environment.
That's too bad, I was aware that some bicycles get tossed into the canals in the Netherlands and I can see how batteries would cause additional harm. I feel like we should find a way to address the poor behavior by the individuals who are stealing or littering. instead of rejecting battery technology. I don't envy the job of police, politicians, or parents, but I do appreciate them.
They can be retrieved from the already incredibly polluted canals. A sealed battery would take many years to deteriorate to the point at which the cells contribute to any pollution. At the moment, green house gasses are a far greater risk, but you make a good point. In most of your towns, even the slightest assist seems overkill. Everything is close in and surfaces are mostly flat. Sadly, this is not true of most of The World. Without these, nearly all will chose low efficiency scooters or bloated SUV's.
To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment
Excellent review. Good energies all around. Definitely a fan of Blix bikes and this channel.

Motor Sounds a little noisy. Ditto with Vika + model. Can some owner concur or is this an isolated case.

I love Dutch style cruisers.
Dutch style bikes are great!

I agree with you Mark.
Should I expect that “whine” with all eBikes or are you pointing it out because it is noisier than most?

Bet it looks better in Person
I thought it looked pretty nice, but I'm a sucker for pretty colors ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It is very beautiful in person!
@C Parker I Can believe that
With the complete setup they could really have done a proper chain cover as well.

Are these considered crank forward design?

What the best full suspension 15000 watt fat tire ebike under $3000

@@MHH3180 soooo what one is good for for mud and pulling a trailer consisting of my dog and decoys?
