- Let us set aside my cacti plants for now and instead show my other succulents that are not cactus. They all have the capacity to store water in certain plant parts and this makes them adaptable to arid desert-like conditions.

You have a BEAUTIFUL collection of Succulents Ana, they are all so INCREDIBLE and you have so many different varieties :-D and beautiful bloom on your Huernia
Awesome video, Ana 😊 Love the colour of some of those Aloes, gorgeous. Glad to see the ones from Edith & myself doing well for you too 😊 Thank you for sharing with us as always. Have a wonderful day and upcoming new week from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌸🏜☕️
Very cool Ana! This reminds me when one of my co-workers recently was excitedly telling me about her new "cactus" - She then proceeds to show me a picture of a Euphorbia Ammok. She was surprised when I explained that these plants are technically not in the cactus family. Thanks for sharing, I loved seeing your non-cactus succulents and I hope you have wonderful week!
Haha! I bought my Trichodiadema densum because I thought it was a cactus! 🤣
Love your video... Love the collection of the aloes... Thank you I enjoyed... Stay safe...
Great video Ana!!! Love the Hurnias!! Flies lay eggs in my stepelia but they never hatch. Don't know if they don't have time before the flower fades. I consider these flowers a form of fly controll. Less flies hatch!! Glad the little polygona is doing well!! Thanks for the shout out Ana!!! Sorry I didn't see this video sooner! I really need a new phone. We got the password reset with help from a coworker. Obviously knew more than the guy at Wal-Mart did!!! So Morris park in the Ozarks will continue!!! Yippee!!!😉👍 Have a great day!!! Peace,Love,Plants!!!✌💖🌵🌺🌴🌻🌲🌹🌳🌷🌿🌸🍀💐😀👍
That’s great news, Clyde! Restarting a channel is a tedious process.
Such a beautiful collection! A special treat to get a private peak at your lovely plants.🌹
Fantastic Succulents Ana! Nice video and interesting as always 🌵🌴
Thank you, I appreciate it. 🙂
Thank you for this video. Can you do one on cacti that can take extreme temperatures from hot to freezing temps? Important to me.
Greetings From Northeast Ohio, where we are having the first snowfall of the year. Happy Holidays.
Snowing already?! Oh dear. ⛄️ Well, enjoy the season!
That Gasteria is gorgeous!
Agaves and Aloes have become my favorite group of non-cactus succulents. Definitely going to have to check out some Asclepiads after seeing your collection 🌵 Thank you for sharing with a ton of information!
Hi Anna thanks for the update on the obesa seedlings iam so happy to see how well they are growing and getting big. I have 4 obesas but not seeing seeds yet
I love sansevierias 😍 they are my favourite plants 🪴
I've had Hurenia kennedyana for nearly 40 years, it's an interesting plant in shape & form with somewhat of a purple/green coloration & beautiful, beautiful flowers. For me it's been a plant I've always had to struggle with because from time to time & for some unknown reason they just decide to die on me.
This year I was left with only 3 offsets that I rescued & rooted from a plant that was turning yellow & rotting at it's base. It looks like after 40 years I'm down to the "Do or Die Moment of Truth" with mine so I'm going to try giving it the same watering & amount of sun as I do my lithops & if I still have it in the fall I'm going to offer it a warmer location on my windowsill.
I'd hate to loose my plant but if it finally dies I think for me it's better to admit defeat & not replace it so Ana if you or any of your subscribers or viewers has any tips on successfully keeping Hurenia kennedyana please leave a comment below.
Thanks
Pretty collection 🎉🎉I likes succulents and cactus .I have too some
Your videos are always so informative and enjoyable. I love how you take the time to make them interesting for us! I love each group you showed us but the euphorbias and haworthias are pretty much my favorite, and the aloes, can't forget the aloes! xxo
Thank you so much Eileen. I appreciate your feedback. It tells me that maybe I’m doing something right. Lol! Thank you for always watching and sharing your thoughts. ☺️
I love them all Ana, I started to collect some aloe's too, for now I have few of them and some of agave
Super enjoyed this. I also have little collections of other non cactus Succulents so this really was right up my alley. Thank u
Very beautiful plants!👏👍💚
A great horticulturist once told me... "All cactus are succulents, but not all succulents are cactus".
I love your videos! You are so thorough in explaining. In this video I know you were showing us your collection but I was hoping to hear more about how you care for them. I'm sure you have other videos that do explain that so thank you so much for all the time you take to educate us. Good job!
Just watched, just done. Very similar, 14 pups without trying. 4with roots. Thankyou. I will see how they do.
I love all the beautiful plants you have in your collection.
Such a beautiful collection.
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing succulents cactus collection lovely
Thank you. I hope you and your plants are all well!
Hi Anna, it's amazing the forms in which succulents take, thanks for sharing.
All beautiful cactus 🌵
Anna your plants are amazing and also unique succulents , love video. I seen some l have collected, thank you so much my cactus and succulents plant have grown from watching you video love it a peaceful place ❤️🌵🌱🌿
Thank you so much for your heart-warming words. I wish you good health, for both you and your plants. 😊
@@CactusCaffeine thank you and I also wish you good health and plants also in our journey of loving nature every so beautiful God’s creation ❤️
Very nice 😎 I try to avoid them but succulents keep happening 😁
Anna, thank you for always being so informative. I love your collection
Thank you, Bonnie! Hope all is well with you.
Loved the aloes🤩
Really enjoyed the video, and great to see your collection of, not cactus but succulent plants 😄 and I absolutely LOVED those baby Euphorbia seedlings you have grown from seed...they are just adorable!!🤗 I fell in love with Euphorbia seedlings when Clyde showed his seedlings, so I'm looking forward to trying those out one day!!
😁🌵🌞🏜🌞🏜🌞
You should try sowing Euphorbia seeds. It is not easy to source the seeds though. But they grow faster than cactus so you see results faster. ☺️
I think the larger sansevieria you didn’t know the name of may be a gold flame. One of my favorites.
Thank you. I will look up that name
Another interesting video. I have a small succulent I purchased from Bunnings store cheap. It had a small generic cactus tag, so I was unable to identify what it was. Thanks to your video, I found out it is an Asclepiad. It has been cold and is protected somewhat on my back veranda, although It has gone a bit purplish. It is coming into spring now in NSW Australia, so happy the cold weather is going away. It has been getting down to 44.5 F overnight were I live. I have some golden barrel seedlings growing under one of those lights and a reptile heat pad in my garage.
Oh, you are about to get into spring! How exciting! Asclepiads make interesting flowers. Very unique.
All beautiful.
You and your plants are just amazing.
Love the variegated harder hawarthias! I think I don’t water my soft hawarthia enough I never have such full plump leaves!
That's going to be me. Half my house if already full of plants. the other half will be succulents and cacti
All of them are beautiful. Thanks
Thank you 😊
I have never seen the isclapiads turn purple but I water every day or 2 in Central TX and keep in speckled light to shade.
I primarily collect prickly pear cacti. When I have a Chance, i take cuttings where is see them lol. The other non cactus succulents i collect are agaves aloes and snake plants. I'm also not very into fleshly succulents like echeveria and sedums. The snake plant you have is hahnii or a bird's nest snake plant. Its botanical name is Dracaena (formerly known as Sansevieria) Trifasciata "hahnii"
Thank you so much for the info. Golly, this taxonomy. Just when I memorized a plant name, they change it again! 😩 Lol! 😉
Very intfromating video
Wow you have nursery friend? cool
Hey I have a cactus that is named “frenzy” because there are a lot of cactuses in the same pot and is 2 years old
Love that gonialoe. 😍
BEAUTIFUL and LOVELY...💗💗💗
Thanks! 🙂
Hope and wish I can acquire some of them or all of them as my collection.
I have euphorbia trigona rubra and tirucalli, kalanchoe, echeveria and I left them out when it rained and hailed this past weekend. New York City here, and my succulents are actually fine, temps were in the high 30s. I'm attempting to make them frost hardy.
That’s awesome! I would be careful with the E. Trigona. Mine froze and rotted 2 years ago. It got too tall for my greenhouse so I left it outside for the winter. 🙁
@@CactusCaffeine like a hawk, I'll be super on-it! I definitely will have it in when it gets around 25°F, at least that's my plan. Thanks for the info and your vids too! 💚
Wow, I LOVE the aloe tree! I wish Indiana's environment would be conducive for such a beautiful tree! But, sadly, we just got snow today. Not much. But, this is November. By Christmas, we are liable to have already gotten 10-15 inches. (possibly even more). Our winters are extremely wet. We have a average humidity level of 72%.
I hope your plants are protected. Good luck! 🙂
Does perlite have to be sifted before mixing in soil? Any use for the residual fine perlite dust/fine grit perlite?
😍😍😍greedings from cold germany
I never let my cactus get as thrusts as you do yours as I would freak out ... when you showed the curly plants I saw cactus that look so thrusts and it stressed me out LOL. I use soil that is 70% rich and 30% draining and water every day to every other day in Boerne TX.
I did kill several cactus when I first started buying them but now they seem to do great with watering more.
Thrusts? I don't understand.
Hi there .. Ive been following your channel for a year now as im interested with cacti and succulent too ., By the way I live in UK . I hope i can ask advise from you regarding cactus care ..
Hi and thank you. Sure. I hope I know the answer. Lol 😉 I’m no expert.
Gorgeous! Have you ever thought of growing adeniums? They have very beautiful flowers and can handle a lot of heat and sun.
I used to grow them when I still lived in the Philippines. But here in Las Vegas, they cannot handle our winter freeze. They need to be moved in a greenhouse but my greenhouse is already full with cactus. 😉
Question, have you ever seen a Mammillaria center elongate and then divide into two canters? My Mammillaria silver arrow looks like the head is going to divide into two heads. Do they do that? I've never seen it.
Yes. Globular Mammillarias do that. That is a sign of maturity in the cactus. There is a term for that in science but I forgot, 😄 It’s cool to watch a cactus do that.
@@CactusCaffeine ty anna
Update Ana, my Mammi has fianlly split in two, well, the two centers have become distinct; two little circles in the middle of the globe. WooWhoo.
Wowow
Dami sis. Walang space hehe. Ang cute ng baby euphorbia. Gagnda ng plants mo.
Tama ka Kath. The bigger the bulb, the wider the leaves get. Last year I remember, mas manipis yung leaves ng spiralis ko. Ngayon, mas wider na.I think yung stinkies like tropical and humid weather. Sa Philippines and sa Florida dito (rainy state) ang dali nila magparami ng stinkies. 😉
I've gained an epiphylum oxypetalam and a Thanksgiving cactus that is budding
That’s exciting! 😃
Hello
What do you use to write the names on your pots please?
Pencil on terracotta, and paint marker pen (can be erased with alcohol) on plastic pots.
@@CactusCaffeine Thank you
I think that is Sansevieria black star ☺️
It’s also called lotus, I’m pretty sure it’s actually a type of hanhii but I can’t remember the name that went with it.
A lovely collection of desert plants you have at home. You are very lucky.
Thank you for the possible names! I will look them up. 😊 CHEERS!
Agave is succulent or cactus?
It is a type of succulent but it is not a cactus. 🙂
@@CactusCaffeine it can be kept in air conditioned bedroom in India when it's summer?
And which agave looks most beautiful?
hmm i thought that was your tiger aloe.
It is, they changed the name. Wish mine would grow
