Oh this looks great! Im heading to Japan next saturday and we'll be starting off in Osaka. My bf is a big carnivore and Im a vegetarian so this should be great for us! :D
Yay, you'll love it! Same situation here - simply looking up vegetarian restaurants isn't helpful! Did you see my list of veggie-friendly restaurants? They serve meat and also have a vegetarian option: www.cakeswithfaces.co.uk/blog-2/vegetarian-restaurants-in-japan/ Although we did have separate lunches on one day last time - I went to T's TanTan in Ueno and Phil went to Ichiran Ramen, and it was the best ramen I've had (*≧ω≦*)
I’m not vegetarian but I do visit the restaurants from time to time as we have a lovely Italian restaurant near me in St Albans . Love be your videos massive help cheers 👍
Thanks! I had to look it up because most ramen noodles do contain eggs (their previous veggie ramen had green spirulina noodles but in this version they look normal). The allergen info from Chabuton confirms they don't have eggs in: www.chabuton.com/chabuton/menu/180912_allergen.pdf The ramen is the second to last item in the blue section, and the gyoza are the second item in the green section. :-)
Hi Amy ! I hate the fishy ramen stock 🤢. I’ve visited china in 2015, I absolutely loved it can’t get china out my head. Hopefully I’ll fill about that after visiting japan next year. I just find how japan is shown on tv is too westernised. You recommend me to watch the UA-camr ‘abroad in japan ‘ I actually saw him in an actual program as a host in a program on NHK japan channel today👍. I’ve lost over 3kg in weight on a low carb diet in nearly a month! I plan to get hamsters 🐹 in teacups tshirt as a reward from cakes with faces when I’ve reached my goal. Will you be at hyper japan at Christmas ? ^_^
You might like trying tonkotsu ramen - it's pork-based rather then fishy. (Probably not great for the diet though!!) I'll have to look out for that one on NHK - their travel prgrammes can be interesting. Abroad in Japan's podcast is great too. I won't be at Hyper Japan Christmas - last show of the year is MCM London in October :-)
These videos are really, really helpful. Thank you!
Yay, mission accomplished! Thanks! :-)
I really enjoy your vids 👍🏻
Thanks so much, that means a lot! :-)
Thank you for sharing this. Love your channel btw :)
Thanks so much! Always happy to help other people find delicious & fun things!

Hi...Is there a way to know if they use egg noodles or not? Thanks..I really enjoy your vlogs!

Thanks so much!! It helps a lot!
No problem, hope you enjoy it if you go!! :-)
The green vegetable that you called lettuce looks like potherb mustad (みずな in Japanese). It was pretty crisp, wasn't it?
Just looked it up on Google images and you're right - that looks exactly like it, thank you! :-)
