@@busterc6600 yeah just straight up buy a hellcat, you gonna have to get the demon engine + build the tranny + stronger driveshaft + suspension upgrade + exhaust + axles + tune (maybe even standalone ECU) + rims + semi slicks this is like a 50k usd build easy including labor and months of your time, at this point you replaced almost every component of the car, just get a hellcat with a 2.75 pulley and you'll be making same or close HP to a demon and also probably run 9s in the 1/4 mile.
I'm leaving mine stock. I dont really give a shit about racing. I can pass slow people, get on the highway quick, thing sounds great, and I still have the challenger body. That's cool enough for me.

These don't need boost. Mine has mid muffler and reso delete along with lower hellcat airbox. I put 275 tires which doesn't require adjustment on camber. That's really all you need and my car sounds amazing and it likes to be driven hard
My 392s been running 7lbs for 120,000 miles. Got it with a whipple from a dealer in Illinois. They said ring gap had been changed thats all they did internally. Great thing was it was warrantied for 100,000 miles. Car had never been sold before i bought it so i dont know how they did it but i never had a prob with it except the driveshaft. 2 failures, one at 2,500 miles and the other at 7,000 miles. They went with a stronger shaft the 3 time and have never had a problem since. I will never sell this car. Got the Mopar logo in the seats and gauges. Never seen another like it...

All 392 blocks from 2018 and on are BGE blocks. Took this straight from the Dodge Website, "With the advent of the 6.4L HEMI truck engines, a thicker block was cast and used across the entire engine platform (that included 392 HEMI engine-powered cars and SUVs around 2017-2018). These blocks are known as “Big Gas Engine” or BGE for short."
I was just about to say this. I learnt this the other day after messing up a rod bearing. Most don’t know but the hellcat block and bge block is the exact same block just the hellcat is torque honed and painted orange
..and back in 2015, Engine Masters proved a Truck 5.7 "Eagle" headed Hemi with a Paxton Centrifugal Supercharger with a Blow through hat, made 660hp / 538tq with belt slip at around 7,000rpm.
I used to go out on the street with my modded quad and race boosted civics and WRX these kids had down the block. We’d only race like blocks length maybe 400-500’. It was actually quite fun outrunning most of them. I knew I couldn’t do it at the strip but it was fun on the back street of our neighborhood.

Im probably gonna start by getting a forged block or going with what you recommend. mines a 2012 srt8. it's a beautiful car that'd be sick as a sleeper.

The coyotes are great out the box like an ls/vortec with bonus dohc heads they just cost more to build and tune but greater benefits if u have the money for it last I checked it cost 2 ls builds per 1 ford of the same level of out come

If you own a 5.7 everyone will clown you say why didn’t you get a scat or hellcat? Only guys talking up the 5.7 are the same ones who couldn’t afford the hellcat. Sure you can build the 5.7 throw a supercharger on there. But all the cat needs to do is pulley swap with bigger injectors boom 900 crank hp and 800 wheel. While 5.7 is still under stock hellcat power. I’ve owned 3.6 5.7 and currently have. 454 scat pack being built by mmx and 2.85 upper pulley hellcat making 800 wheel.

And no shit the hellcat modded will always be faster than a modded 5.7, it’s a bigger motor that was made for a supercharger

It’s strictly cuz nobody makes aftermarket parts for them to the same degree as an LS or Coyote. If you’re building one and want it done cheap, for us 5.7 guys anyway, the best bet is to put hellcat stock headers and get a whipple. Easy money for 500+hp safely. Obviously a tune…… but even with this route you’re still looking at 12k ish. Apologies for being so late to the party lol

The 392 will handle 10lbs of boost safely with no risk of failure on one condition. You must regap the piston rings.
It has nothing to do with gap. The ring lands are too high on the stock pistons and they break under too much boost
