Ngl Vanessa being all happy-go-lucky "We are friends, all is well, it's okay" while Zoey is cursing her with the wrath of a thousand demons is pure comedy gold
My moo-meow is built a lot like Zoe here - not quite as overweight, but with a buldog's wide chest. Old man be strong. Aaand he'll go blender mode at the drop of a hat if he's not ok with something... like a nail trim. That was a two-person job at the local vet when at one point it really needed to be done. With welding gloves and all. Zoe was nice and is sort of lucky she can be groomed without sedation. (Unlucky she needs it, but...)
@@mirjam3553 Our Rowland was hospitalized once, and as we came in to pick him up, the vet was just putting a bandage on her hand from how he'd scratched her as she was preparing him to be picked up.
i wash all of my cats by myself, and one of them is a hefty lady. Thankfully, none of them has attempted to hurt me or lash out despite their complaints towards the bath lmao
I thought Zoe was a very good girl: she growled, lashed her tail, and tried to levitate the heck outta there, but never made a move to scratch or bite. I hope her new family can get her to lose enough weight so she can better groom herself - cats know when they're dirty, and they don't like it one bit (though they might like being cleaned even less!).

Zoe has absolutely perfected the "Sleep with one eye open, human" look down pat. I'm sad that I won't see his grooms anymore or his new young pups. He was such a good dog that shows that any breed that has some form of aggression CAN be well mannered in different environments.
Zoe reminds me of my cat of 18 years, Jersey. For her, water was for drinking only, but she loved “spa time” (getting combed daily). Tux cats, with both black and white fur, can “mark” their humans no matter what color they are wearing. 😊
Poor pretty Zoe. Bless the woman for taking her in. From my experience with short-hair cats is they don't smell and shed a lot unless they are ill. Even outdoor cats. I hope that she's been to the vet.

Heya! You said that the new owner has just had her for a few months... sometimes when a cat's diet changes for the better they loose all the old hair and the new comes in super soft and wonderful. Hope that helps. Hugs from Esquimalt

Aww, Zoe. She didn't actually try to murder you! Just grumbled. Amazing for being so pissed off. She's a beautiful cat, I'm glad you got through the groom so well.
The combination of dandruff and excessive shedding is probably diet related. My vet suggested going grain free then removing chicken products from our cats diet. Eventually it was adding cat formulated omega-3 oils that stopped the dandruff and reduced the shedding.
Fantastic job on 🐈⬛Zoe, . . . . . . . . . . you're so patient & kind, no matter how 'sassy' the pet becomes, . . . . total respect to you!😺
Most cats don’t need more than a nail trim and gentle brushing at home. But when they get that chonky they can’t reach. Bless her.
They are soo cute!
When I saw Zoe come out of the crate, I thought she was Willow from 3 Southern Cats and Momma. That would be an amazing collab!
Awesome video Vanessa!
You’re so great at your job!!!
Zoe and her quiet meows... She did pretty good though. 🐾🐾😺😺
I just started watching you tonight and I love how you interact with the animals and what a difference you make! You are a blessing in their lives!!!!❤❤❤
Wow, Vanessa, you are so very brave to be grooming a strange cat! You are an amazing groomer!
The one of my cats that never comes to the computer area came and wanted to be stroked for the entire duration of this video - and left when it was over! I guess she loved your voice!
too funny after putting the happy hoodie on. Good cinematic moment. the silence coupled with the cats expression. Felt all Godfather-ish...that's supposed to be a compliment btw! looked like a movie scene. kudos to the camera person--you, that guy, or otherwise. 💗😁
Beautiful Zoe. She did very well for her groom. 👏👏🥰😘
That face says it all. Zoe is questioning ALL her life choices. LOL!
This is one of the funniest sessions I’ve seen
I was equigrooming all 4 of my cats yesterday. It was such a mess :D
I DID enjoy the Very Unimpressed Zoe! She is beautiful and, I confess, I have a very soft place in my heart for kitties.🥰
You did an awesome job on her Vanessa. I purchased the Petology Coconut Water from your shop and used it on my dog and cat with dander and it works wonders on them both! Would highly recommend for anyone with an animal having dander.
Lady you stuck me in the bubble of doom. I hex you 😂😂😂😂
I wonder if you gave them a little cat nip then let them run around. After cats usually are mellow for a while.
This cat looks so much like my kitty who recently passed. She has a lot of similar movements too. Thank you for letting me see my kitty again. I miss her so much. Good vid too!
She's a bit overweight, which is why her backend is in such shape, she can't reach it! I hope new owner puts her on a diet and gets her to a healthier weight.
