Artie's mum here, I'm glad he behaved so well for the groom. He really is a 'dog like' cat and I consider him adventure cat in training!! He enjoys going out on trail walks (on a leash of course) and gets toted around in his backpack. We hope Vanessa will groom him again in the future, it's really tough finding a good cat groomer in our area!
Artie wants to be featured on channel 2 😉
He's a gorgeous Boi! I would love to have a Weegie one day!
I’d love to get a Norwegian Forest cat, but they don’t come up in Scotland’s rescues.
Beautiful! 😍 I'd love to see more of this gorgeous goodest boi!
Artie must be the most adorable cat that I've seen. You're so lucky. I guess Muddy must be sweet too. I guess I'm a dog lover because I'm too much like Muddy. Dogs make me more sweeter. 😂

I heard Muddy’s name as “MOODY” whenever you first said it and I was like “Ahh……..makes sense”……….………..… lol!
Thank you for mentioning this!!
Oh my thatis terrible
Holy crap, that's horrible, I had no idea!
I did not know the cartilage issue! Thank you so much for sharing that piece of information. I love watching your channel!
I loved that you could see just how spicy Muddy was getting by the gradual increase of protective gear. Happy Hoodie, then trouble bubble, then long gloves.
You think he talked to Mayonnaise before this one?
Lmao "trouble bubble" is awesome
is that the full assortment of fear gear? do we have an official list somewhere?
Rhino hide grade gloves.
Even if Muddy won't admit it, I bet he's feeling better with less compaction.
Not really considering the amount of pain that combing out those mats caused. Especially given the fact that he's a Scottish fold and already has medical issues...
@@BeccaHetrick over time, however, he will feel better because matting is destructive to skin.
"in every relationship, there's one sweet angel, and one lunatic"
but all my friends are sweet ang-... oh.
Likewise: all the vet techs tell me my (epileptic and more frequent visitor than the average) Maine Coon is an angel.
Which leaves me going "oh no....."
😂😂
@@Stlaindto be fair some give their owners a ton of shit, howling, swatting, and hissing at them just for walking by when there's no history or obvious reason for them to be like that.
Vet or groomer? Absolute angels, even allowing belly rubs and eating up the attention. Never makes a dramatic show if the claws are clipped and barely a peep while the vet or groomer does what needs to be done. Obviously most aren't like this, but some definitely are. Little hellions with their owners, but not the vet or groomer.
@@ShadowSkyX oh yeah. She's super tolerant with me too, but I'm also her person.
Wonder which one Vanessa is 🤔
Vanessa said, "It's ok", and I clearly heard Muddy say "No it is NOT!"😂
01:29 As clear as day.
😂
It was either that or go fluff yourself.
Same here. 😂😂😂❤😊
In a thick Scottish accent.
Thank you for the information about the Scottish Fold! I had no idea. I'd like to see that become common knowledge. How many people who buy them have NO idea about the genetic situation. Shou!d not be bred. The forest cat is gorgeous and right up my alley.😇
It's especially sad to support such breeders when there are so many sweet cats to adopt in the shelters. If one has to buy a "designer cat", fine I get it, but bring home a few shelter kitties too
@@pozloadescobar Would you protest a shelter that rescued folds? I'm starting to have intrusive thoughts that some of the commenters here would harm a fold themselves if they were given one or adopted one
@@CenturyOfCidshelters don’t choose what to adopt, they usually have “given” animals, or like in my country, a lot of animals were transferred cuz of war, so they really have no choice.
So it really makes no sense in delivering “justice” to the shelters + shelters help like insane amounts of animals, just cuz they might have this specific breed doesn’t mean much.
Who really needs “justice” are the places of breeding and people directly profiting from an animal that is constantly in pain.
@@pozloadescobar It's super trendy to criticize the people who buy pets, but I wonder how many people remember that in order to be the best pet owner possible, you need to get a pet compatible with YOU. I'm not saying people should go for a Scottish Fold, but so many people just tell owners to adopt from shelters when shelters do not have every possible breed, and sometimes, there just never is the right one for you. I'm not well-versed with cats, but you see it all the time with dogs. Most shelters here in my town are 98% full of high energy dogs that older, busy, or weaker (chronically ill) people could not responsibly keep. It's not always about wanting to be fancy.
@@CenturyOfCidAbsolutely not, the folds are the victims and the shelters are simply helping them. The issue is 100% with the actions of the breeders for breeding cats who are likely to live in pain due to genetic defects
My cat poses a different issue with brushing. She loves it so much that she attempts to steal the brush from you so she can rub her face on it by herself. Our solution is starting the process with one brush so she realizes whats happening, giving her the brush to hold and rub on while we brush her with a second brush. The first brush is usually saturated with drool when we're done lol
My grandpa's cat will bite you if you don't brush her or stop brushing her when she wants it lol She's partial to the brushing mitt. Otherwise a very chill lady 😻
“Moody” in the pink not-so-happy hoodie and trouble bubble is hysterical. He was ready for your death. Meanwhile Artie is like, “Spa day!”
when Muddy growled, he sounded a little like a tiny lawn mower😂
The hoody did not turn Moody into a goody 😂
These are really weird looking dogs.
Arti is pronounced as the Danish "artig" literally meaning "well behaved"
@shelleymann5242 Loved your comments🤣🤣🤣🤣
Vanessa: I’ve been told you are moody.
Muddy: *Cat growl turning into sports car*
Scottish folds have a sort of rock n roll raspy voice. I adopted one a long time ago. He was very sweet but he didn’t like being handled
Artie is one of the most beautiful cats I've ever seen!!! Spa day for Artie!
I agree.
0:40
Vanessa: Are you gonna scratch me?
Muddy: Most definitely madam.
Muddy is so adorable, HOWEVER, this is a breed (along with Munchkin and Manx cats) that, IMHO, should be phased out completely. It's no different than people insisting on breeding super brachy pugs/Frenchies/bulldogs or disease prone CKC Spaniels. But, Muddy handled that best he could so he's a good boy (and of course Artie looked like perfection)
This. And while they're both beautiful, I don't see the sense in cat breeds anyway. There's an argument to be made with dogs and the different roles they fulfill to this day, but the good old domestic short hair or lang hair is all the cat we need, imo. Would also eliminate the slippery slope of people breeding animals for money...
Artie looked like purr-fection
I thought Stumpy Manx cats have fewer health problems. That it was the Rumpy Manx cats that are much more prone to health issues.
@@jamesstewart5706If you want a kitty with a nub, maybe there's one up for adoption at a local rescue. There's _no_ need to burden another species with malformations just to appeal to human aesthetics.
his back pain "could" be the reason he isn't grooming himself properly
Final boss music begins playing as Muddy exits his carrier. Final boss music continues though pink happy hoody and trouble bubble, just slightly muffled 😹
It's got stages of intensity like Final Fantasy 6 "Dancing Mad."
🤣🤣🤣🤣 11/10 comment
I call the trouble bubble the Hannibal hat,
Groomer: I’m told your quite spicy for a bath
Muddy: WHO TOLD YOU!!!
I had a Norwegian Forest Cat (the Siberian's larger cousin) many years ago. He was 18lbs of super-fluffy cuddle bug! He was besties with my 100lb GSD/husky/wolf mix pupper.😊
I have a NFC. He is sweet with us but hates the vet.
Interesting, I will now go and look into the Siberian Forest Cat. When I tried to figure out what breed my rescue cat was it kept coming up with NFC but it was too big to be accurate. Don't get me wrong, chances are pretty high that she's a mixed breed but she has a very distinct look.
You had an actual wolf dog? Pretty cool, even if I would never own one.
I’d love to have a Norwegian forest cat. The one’s I’ve seen are sweet and beautiful
I had a gorgeous pure white NFC that was about the best cat ever. We found that the best way to control any matting was to use a steel comb turned sideways after we loosened up the mat as much as possible with our fingers. We also combed with one hand while stabilizing his skin with the other to avoid pulling on it as much as possible.
Oh my, Moody definetly has to be handled with care but it made me laugh when you gradually had to amp up your protection against him. At one point I expected to see you in an medieval knight armor with a nail clipper in your hands XD
So many cats waiting for homes in shelters. Adopt, don't shop!
has absolutely nothing to do with the comment you're replying to, but enjoy pretending to be a good person (:@@elliottross3691
😂
@@elliottross3691 so many cats in shelters because of people not sterilizing their cats.
That would be funny to see.
"Don't even think about it."
Muddy: Think about it? I'm about to freaking DO IT.
Oh oh oh, I went to Ren's Pets today and saw they have Fluff Off shampoo and conditioner. Congratulations! (And also to me because I bought it 😊).
I hadn't heard of a Siberian Forest cat before and had to look it up. They are a touch smaller than the Norwegian Forest cat I'm familiar with but seem to have a similar temperament. Lovely little cat 🥰
They are a reminder that cats can thrive anywhere! Siberia, Hawaii, the Sahara, cats are miraculous survivors
I had a Siberian Forest Cat cross who sadly passed away in 2021 at the age of 19. The most lovable and friendly companion I ever had. I always joked he thought he was a dog. I still miss him today.
U never forget them , my red tabby too passed Sept 21, at 18,& Siamese at 21, some 10 yrs ago, & in between many others. Have reminders all them , from pics on walls, & albums ..
Sorry for your loss, I felt like a lost a relative when mine passed on their family
I’m so sorry.
I’m sorry ): I have a gigantic ragamuffin who thinks she’s a dog, she’s my everything and idk how i’ll survive it when she eventually passes away
My old dog recently passed and it’s still weird not having him around, but I was pretty lucky since he was a pug and lived almost to 16
I'm sorry for your loss hon.

@@MaryDunford "So you have chosen... death"

I love how the amount of protective wear increased the more time went by.
The face on the white cat in the hood is too much cuteness.
Muddy and Artie: "They never taught her that felines have been around longer than groomers... we're survivors."🤨
lol 😂
Artie was sweet loved how he rolled over and said rub my belly and Muddy said don't you dare I will get you
yeah pretty sure the bel-bel is a death zone for Muddy hahah.
I love your cat content! Bought one of your happy hoodies for my furry little psycho. It is truly amazing how calm she gets when wearing it. Makes trimming her claws much easier!
My tortie will stay still for about 3 min with it on, so I have to work fast. But once her timer is up she is still unable to run away with it on. I love it!
how does it work? is it like a sensory deprivation thing? or the pressure in the area triggers a defeated response? or does it just calm them down because it makes them feel secure due to some evolutionary Achille's Heel that it exploits?
@@AEOH3X It looks like it's something to do with muting their senses. I don't know the science. But it took two of us to hold my cat down to trim her claws, she's an ex-feral and that side shows for trimming time.
Put the hood on her and she struggles significantly less. To the point where I can trim them solo. I strongly recommend one if you have troubles grooming your feline.
@@AEOH3XI think it’s meant to just feel calm. It quiets the noises and probably feels like when momma cat would carry them.
2:20 "Screw you guys, I'm going home!"
SUPER video. My now deceased cat was the benevolent image of your client. Infinite SWEETNESS, a cat Diplomat. I miss him so much...
I'm sorry... I know it still hurts, because I still miss my Joey, a British Shorthair that I lost unexpectedly in 2022. He was like a little dog I never had to walk, and as I was home all the time (I'm disabled and don't work) he was glued to my side 24/7. He was my soul cat, and I only miss him on days that end in Y. My current cat, Ludo (see profile pic) is a British Longhair who, though sweet much of the time, is definitely a SPICIER cat... but having another one to love helps. ❤️ =^.,.^=
He's like "Fluff yeah I'm moody!!"
I had a Norwegian forest cat. Brushed him just about every day. Never gave him a bath. He was a great cat and pretty big for a cat. Very chill relaxed cat. Looked a lot like this one. Mine was more white. Color only on the head.
Fabulous funny cats. The "astronauts helmet" is very cool. Nice job.
Artie looks like an angel, the owner is so lucky to have him!
Can confirm as his owner, Artie is the best AND an angel.
“It’s okay, Muddy.”
“No, it is most certainly not okay.”
My 10 year old adopted Grandkitty Cooper thinks Moody was more than reasonable 😹- LOL! Cooper is very specific about where she will even let me pet her (top of head, back and a couple scratches just under her chin). However, I was shocked when I received my EquiGroomer and she allowed me to actually use it on her sides as well (always looking forward to the promise of rewards for her good behavior)👍
Thank you for all of the good that you do for the animals, and for the added bonus of hours of entertainment that you provide❣
Our cat LOVES his brush. He has several and will pick one up and bring it for you to give him a brush out. If he is in a bad mood, a good brushing always makes him purr again.
Always watch the end of the tail. The little twitches tell it all. 🤣
Happy hoodie, trouble bubble and rage cage. Full program.
Muddy grumbles just like my rather moody Rogue (black DSH rescue) when I have to trim his nails. His points are very pretty. Artie is just a chill fella. Thanks for sharing!! 😊

That attempted kick and subsequent flop!! 😂
happy hoodie plus globe of shame, that's a twofers.

I DID enjoy the Angelic Artie - I’m in love!🥰 - and the Moody Muddy!
Thank you Vanessa!
They're both gorgeous! Thanks for always sharing those precious cuties!
Poor Muddy really needed grooming, wish he'd allowed you to do more. It wasn't just all that loose fur, but it was also those sloughed skin flakes; the skin is an excretory organ and bringing the debris up to the surface for removal, helps him stay healthy. The owners are wonderful for bringing them both. Maybe next time he'll tolerate you better.
oh those faces 💟
Artie is gorgeous. He is so cute looking and so well behaved. I loved watching his groom. Hope there is many more ❤ xx
