- In this video, I swap the blown turbo in the VW T3 camper with an AHU TDI engine fitted. I sourced a good used unit. I have a feeling this job is not finished though!

Geez, you were right about that turbo... really had a number done to it. You're very lucky that the engine didn't sustain any internal and external damage from the turbo grenading internally.
Oh yeah absolutely! There'll be more investigations done as to why it let go. I have my theories but I'll record my progress.
I bought a replacement cartridge from London turbos. Good price and good build quality 👌
Good to see you back again Ross.! That turbo didn't last too long, was it a Chinese cartridge you put in last time you reconditioned it? I see there's a company in UK selling genuine replacment cartridges. Was going to try them on a turbo I need to be rebuilt next few weeks
Yeah, Chinese cartridge, but I don't think that's why it failed. It may have lasted longer if it was a genuine one but I reckon the issue came from elsewhere. It had been going into limp mode regularly this past while. I'm investigating that now and when I have something to report, there'll be a follow up video.
