What fuel pump it is? This is not the org lucas pump fitted in aef engines

Excuse me if i sound stuped im new to the scene but what make is the engine is it a volkswagen engine . And would it be poss to make fit it a mid 70s pickup . Thanks for any help in advance . As im keen to fit a diesel in my crew cab pickup from 77

This engine was originally in VW Caddy’s, Škoda Felicias, pickups and some Audi’s. Between 1995-2000. It won’t fit your VW pickup from 1977 with out some heavy modifications.

@@MainDrive hey thanks for that . I have seen kits to fit the golf 1.6 diesel engine into the transporter . I know its gonna take big modifications to fit an engine not designed to fit such a vehicle . If i can fit something with just cutting and welding mouts etc il be happy itl be worth it when its done its not like and urgent project its just the start of the mechanival process like i say its early days yet . Thanks for the advice much appreciated .

The fuel pump did not hit the hood ?

It did barley….so I removed some of the insulation on the inside.
