This is the exact video I’ve been looking for but had to go thru countless results to find even though most of the words in the title are what I’m searching for
Thanks for this
So welcome 🙏🏽
Thanks, moved from the West Coast to the East Coast and I’ve never worked with vinyl siding before. Great share

That was a good job.
I came here trying to figure out how to mount some doorbells over vinyl siding using some kind of block.

Nice job. A lot better than just crushing the siding by just being lazy screwing the bibb right to the siding.

Thanks for this video. It was exactly what I was looking for to give me an idea of what it was going to take to install a power box receptacle for our back-up generator.

Great video Studio Rays:) It helped me a ton. I was wondering how I was gonna get the mounting block nailed or screwed into the wall. I gotta get that vinyl siding removal tool, that perfect. Thanks so much!

Also please use the link for the tool above. very click and purchase help the channel.
Thanks for this. This may be a dumb question, but how does this stop water from getting behind the box? I am installing a 16x15 mounting block on top of a 2x12 for an outdoor tv, and what worries me is water getting behind the mounting block. Did you seal it, or am I missing something obvious that doesn’t allow water from getting in behind the block and siding?
Thanks for the feedback and please remember to subscribe and like the video. To answer the question, check out this video ua-cam.com/video/9l3sWIL70TE/v-deo.html it will help you on your project. Thanks and good luck. This Will show you what I did for protection from water.
roughly how much does a job like this cost? I just need a hole drilled and an exhaust vent installed i have the hose and everything ready just wondering if its worth me doing or hiring someone
I can’t answer that question for you. It’s depends on what you’re willing to pay and is it worth your time. Only you can decide.
Thanks ! Is it accurate to say on most houses on centerblocks the exterior vinyl boxes will be cut in a similar location in the vinyl siding ? Like near the top of the second vinyl strip ? Would that estimate place the wire entry below the first floor ? Thanks..

looks great, wondering if putting that box under the siding is the only way. thanks for the video
right on, I just charge my tesla on a single pole 120v now, but I'll likely put in a 240v at some point
Thanks for the comments. Doing this way just looks better. Good luck and please remember to subscribe and like the video.
just one observation since the the screws penetrate your vapor barrier it is importan to use silicon caulk ti orevent moisture ffrom entering otherwise good job.
I used vapor barrier tape, but use can use caulking also. Thanks for the feedback and please subscribe
Did you add caulk for water rain and water leaks? How did you seal this? Thanks for video
Yes, I added caulking around the corner. And around the pipe. I used color match caulking so it blends with the color of the siding.

The electrical outlet really needs a weather resistant cover!
It does have weather resistant cover. Thanks for the feedback and please remember to subscribe to the channel and like the video.
Should have continued watching
Nice Vid
Thx, remember to subscribe to the channel. Thx again
that electrical outlet looks terrible. not trying to hate, but I came here for that purpose lol
@@77hemi So don't try to hate., Take the info and apply to your needs. Not all technique will fit in everyone needs. Watch another videos to see final set up. It works for me
@@DIYRAY your attitude sucks. I went another route and it looks way better than yours. Lmao
@@77hemi LOLOL, good for you. Please remember to subscribe
I learned from this but just for myself I wanted to see lifting and insertion of j block and screwing it in place SLOWLY as your hi speed during this step leaves me unsure of exactly how you held siding up at same time that you screwed in place
Thanks for the feedback. Once you get the block in . It very simple to screw in. Try using speed settings to slow down the video. Good luck 🍀
Is it possible to do the same for fibre cement hardie boards?
Thanks for the feedback and please remember to subscribe to the channel and like the video. To answer the question, I have no idea if that will work. Try going to a Siding warehouse that specialize in supplying Building material maybe they can give you a better answer. Good luck
So the item not covered is where this line comes into house and hot that is determined so your not placing this in the wrong place by concentrating on the outside only.
Thanks for the feedback.
Did not read through comets but should be caulked too
It was caulk also. Thank for the feedback and please remember to subscribe to the channel and like the video.
Kinda close to put a water valve near an electrical outlet.
Not an issue. The outlet is covered with an outdoor cover and is grounded.
For the love of god how many times are you gonna say ummm lol
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! 🤪
