I’d like a video on how to install this on existing siding. How to cut insert etc…

Is there any available detail or instruction or product for rainscreens w/ 3/4" furring?

For penetrations in furred wall applications the penetration should be flashed into the WRB per the WRB manufactures’ application instructions. The RigidMount can then be installed on top of the furring in order to flush out with the remainder of the siding installation. Additional furring strips will need to be installed around the site of the RigidMount block.

I'll respectfully disagree with taping the house wrap flap to the plastic mounting plate. Yes on the plastic flange to the sheathing and yes on the 45 slits but no on the horizontal flap. If water makes it behind the wrap, it needs a way out... no different than the flap overlapping the top of a nail fin window install.

We do not tape the bottom of the RigidMount block. This allows any moisture that gets behind to escape.

Is there a specific rigidmount block for vertical siding?

Board and batten doesn't require a special RigidMount block. In fact, you can mount the light or outlet directly to the panel because of the flat surface, unlike Lap Siding. If you want to use a RigidMount block, you absolutely can. We offer eight different RigidMounts!
