In this video Rich captured the moment he decided to remove his wig for good for the first time in 30 years. Rich first experienced hair loss/male pattern baldness in his college years in his early 20's. Struggling with confidence and after being inspired by some late night hair replacement advertising Rich took the plunge on a hair piece. Rich had some great years with his new hair but as time went on the frustrations of maintaining the hair piece grew too much. Eventually the benefits of wearing the wig no longer outweighed the fear of going bald. Struggling in the work environment and with the constant upkeep Rich is now looking forward to being free from such hassles and moves in a new direction with his fresh new bald look.
I sat down with Rich on a call to talk all about it both before and after.
Rich hopes that by sharing his journey through and beyond balding he can inspire others out there to push past those balding insecurities and get back to living life to the fullest.

I did it boys. I went shaved my head bald today. I’m currently 19 years old. I’m also a black guy that has a birthmark on his head that turns that patch of skin white and the hair that grew there blonde. Where I live hairlines and fresh cuts are everything in the hood. To be honest it’s still pretty shocking, I went from a huge Afro and beard to bald with a beard. Don’t be like me, don’t stop getting hair cuts to hide it. Save yourself the stress and learn to adjust to the new you.

@@bigbananacongolese8403 I am balding, I had a receding hairline. But I was describing my birthmark and how it affects my head. I can’t dye it. It’s apart of my skin that changed from brown to white and changed the hair on that patch of skin blonde

He looks fantastic! Unless you have ever stood looking into the mirror with the running clippers you have NO idea the fear and insecurity that grips you. Then that's replaced with the fear of first reactions. It's crippling. Glad he made it through and removed that stress from his life. Way to go! Stand proud and confident! Best.

I think Harry needs a knighthood for his channel, The amount of ppl he has probably saved from depression,, he has gave them hope in gaining self confidence and rid the fear of going bald. "Replacing one anxiety with a different anxiety" is one of the reasons I also decided to shave it off instead of seeking treatments etc.
I’m with you there. A lot of the “solutions” just keep you preoccupied with it all rather than moving on.

Being jacked is rarely due to luck or fortune. Takes work. His self admitted vanity is a decent motivator to stay in shape. No judgement just stating. It’s my motivator too… I made the call to shave it all off too thanks to these videos.

It is hard to do initially, but man it is so much better than fighting it. Almost everyone looks better when they embrace it and shave.

Dude, I am 56. Played in hair metal bands of the 80's too with Randy Rhoads hair. Pale white head, big ears and been shaving for years now. I hate being bald, i think the same way you do. I wanted the hair weave that you are getting rid of, i just felt shaving was less expensive and less maintenance. Sucks but i think it's the better way to go. Remember it's not as big a deal in 2021 as the 80's, 90's.

Great physique and this gentleman very much suits the shaven head ,I wore a wig for 20 years and inspired by Harry and this channel I took it off beginning of our first British lockdown (April 2020) as hairdressers were all closed . I got decent feedback so no looking back with the shaven head and I’ve got no physique at all in fact I’m skinny . Thanks again Harry .

This story might be the best for me as not only did it not go well for me confidence wise but I also hear crappy comments about every day like ‘why do you look that way now ‘and ‘where is your hair gone’ and it is demoralizing
I got those questions too. I’ve never cared about people’s opinions about me but it’s the questions and attention I bloody hate!
What matters is what you think,.. and hopefully you're a lot happier and more comfortable just working with what you have and dont have.
