One of my favorite things is when you point out their cute fashion. I was in high school when this came out and I tried to dress like them. So seeing it all come back into fashion is so weird lol
I really appreciate seeing your insights about the show and the characters, even if I don't agree with you sometimes. It's about to get really addicting soon, so I'm excited to see your reactions!
Newark is a city in New Jersey that used to have one of the highest violent crime rates in the US. The violent crime rates have gone down significantly in the past few decades for Newark, so its not nearly as bad as it used to be.
Newark is a city in New Jersey, that's next to New York State. You can travel between them via bus, train, car or ferry. Luisa is played by Megan Cavanaugh, who's best known as Marla Hooch in the all-women baseball comedy, "A League of Their Own" (worth reacting to) and the voice of Judy Neutron on the animated series, "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius". Mindy is played by Jennifer Grey of "Red Dawn (1984)", "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Dirty Dancing". Ironically, Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) played Ms. Grey's character from "Bueller", Jeanie, in a short-lived TV version. Mr. Peanut is the mascot for Planters' Peanuts, a snack food brand.
I feel like it was appropriate for Ross to apologize at the end of episode 19. Yes, he was certainly in the right to be angry, but anger doesn't give one a free pass for saying whatever mean-spirited thing that pops in one's head. Particularly when it is neither constructive nor helpful towards solving the problem at hand. Rachel was already beating herself up. She didn't really need Ross to keep pecking at her.
Mindy here is played by Jennifer Grey, who also played Baby in Dirty Dancing! Even though I'm a huge Dirty Dancing fan, I didn't notice this until my second or third rewatch, because she sounds so different!
Rachel slept with a man that she knew was marrying someone else(regardless if that someone was an ex bestfriend who snatched him up after Rachel chose to leave him at the altar)....literally zero comment on that? nothing at all? Bruh
Lou Grant is a character played by actor Ed Asner, he originated on the 60s comedy The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and was spun off into his own show, a drama. - He worked as a News editor. You probably know him the best for voicing Carl in Up, he also played Santa in Elf. So you can see he's very different from Hugh Grant
It's always interesting hearing about Rachel's high school years. We sort of know her (at least in Season 1) as this sort of sheltered but sweet ditsy rich girl stumbling into the real world. Finding out high school Rachel was basically a 1980s-style Regina George gives her a bit of an edge, in a good way - okay sure it sounds like she wasn't nice as a teen but it makes her more interesting as a character.
Yes, that's pretty much the essence of Chandler and dating. He's very needy and constantly wanting a woman, but then get's very commitmentphobic, or otherwise wanting distance. I was a bit like that when I was younger.
Ross & Carol , Rachel & Barry is different, Carol left him, she was his first and at one point his wife and is currently his child's mother, way more history there. Rachel left Barry, cuz she didn't feel a "spark" in their relationship, the only difference now is probably cuz she's desperate, and the forbidden relationship with someone's fiancé is creating the spark.
i think u have some kinda bias against ross... u are very critical of him but when it come to rachel who slept with her x who is engaged with x bf... u are not very critical

Im sooooooo in love with their outfits 😍 honestly it’s my main style inspo atm hahaha love 90s fashion!
I have GOT to meet Barry and learn from him! He has magical powers.
It's polite to apologize after a fight, even if you're not in the wrong.

The animal control actress is definitely not from Superstore, she’d be in her 60s now 😅 Cant wait for ur future reaction, this show is tons of fun !

Gone down significantly everywhere, even with the gun violence. A pity voters didn't get the memo.
Lol get a grip@@christopherb501
LOVE your reactions, it's such a joy to enjoy the show with you :)

She also had a nose job before this, so she looks a little different (no judgment, just adding context)

Noooooooooooo! After so many years and watches! How could I have not recognized her? It's such a revelation! Thank you so much!

Because the idea of Lou Grant frolicking naked - while terrifying - is also kind of hilarious lol 😂
Mr.Peanut is a brand of nuts, and it has a Peanut in a top hat and a monocle on the label. 😊
And a colonizer.
@@christopherb501 whoa! That escalated quickly.
There's no way that the guy watching Monica's apartment from across the street can see into Joey's apartment
Lou Grant was a character from the 70s TV show "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"
And had a spin-off series.

As the show goes on you will see what ross said here.
Everyone thinks that haha.
At least they don't use a telescope to get a close up view of Naked Guy, both for their sake and his.

5:06 Such fare is nothing new, people. No new ideas under the sun. Including human identities.
Barry , Rachel and Mindy are equally 🗑️
