This is so easy, thank you!!! All the other videos were way too detailed; I just want a basic face shape and don't have patience for the plaster and all of that. This is perfect!
This is gonna be great for when I start to make cosplays and masks:) I've already used this method to make a body cast, but I used plastic wrap to cover my body before the tape and paper.
Thank you! I used to use plaster cloth for my masks but it always ended up with plaster in my eyes so I tried this for a mold to add the plaster in and it's been amazing! Thank you yet agian
@@cinamontoast2555hey a bit late but thats exactly why i am here. Please tell me how you made it. I have to submit it tomorrow and looking for ways now😬
Now if yo want to completely cover just do the same on the back the tape together right before yo paint . I'm getting in to the Gelatine mix with Glycerin for simulated skin . So I need a life size head to work on . On a budget. So far yours lookes the EASIEST without having to go buy and order alot of things. My son and I want to try to make monster or zombie mask using what I said above . I tested it out works, looks and feels like skin . Add a little of a girls makeup to it while your mixing it to give it the skin color . Pour out on a baking sheet or wax paper .Look up making Molds with Glycerin and Gelatine little water little makeup freeze for 10 min. Pull out . Just starting so I'm sure we have alot to learn .

I believe that applying heat (hairdryer) could help flattening the tapes in place after taking the mask off your face. Also, covering the nose/mouth should be better when you're not using the mask anymore so the humid air from your breath won't warp it :) idk tho
hi, this vid is rly helpful and easy to understan i have a question tho do you just cut the eye and nose holes with a penknife or is there a better way
Hi, thanks! About your question, you might want to leave those parts uncovered. But this method can be more challenging than cutting holes at a later time.
Hey! Thanks so much for this video. I think it'll be great help for my upcoming project. May I ask how many rolls of paper tape did you use to make this?
@@DIYKalinga hmm... I think fiberglass is to hard to make, and it's kinda hard to find the material in my country. I probably want to try something like clay, do you know a good type of clay to make a mask?
In the video the mask seemed stay in shape really well. And some tapes are easier to paint on if that was part of your intrest.(like masking tape) to morph the shape you could use more paper, clay, or hot glue. Theres a type of clay that is really trustworthy, found at the store. Palmer Clay which is an oven bake clay. I've made masks out of cardboard. It didn't go well for me but there are lots of templates and styles of crafting the cardboard that are interesting in case if you wanted to try a completely new material.
Hi! You mean other than any type of tape? Can't think of one at the moment, but if something pops up, I'll let you know. It may take a while though. In the meantime, you might want to use another method, such as using aluminum foil?

Thanks! Less than one roll. Good luck!
Thanks Iam gonna follow this technique and will make a japanese kitsuna mask
is it possible to make half kitsune fox mask with this?
I'd say yes. You'll have to do some "sculpting," like add more paper to get lumpy cheeks and attach cardboard ears to complete the look.
Thanks bro💋
Will definitely do ds

His face is so beautiful. How lucky he is. It's rare. Maybe he want to be an actor.

You might wanna try fiberglass.

There are still holes for air to pass through. You can do the nose last.
