This is so easy, thank you!!! All the other videos were way too detailed; I just want a basic face shape and don't have patience for the plaster and all of that. This is perfect!

This is gonna be great for when I start to make cosplays and masks:)
I've already used this method to make a body cast, but I used plastic wrap to cover my body before the tape and paper.

hmm I think a stocking over the head would work great for a full head shape and hair away from the tape

Now if yo want to completely cover just do the same on the back the tape together right before yo paint . I'm getting in to the Gelatine mix with Glycerin for simulated skin . So I need a life size head to work on . On a budget. So far yours lookes the EASIEST without having to go buy and order alot of things. My son and I want to try to make monster or zombie mask using what I said above . I tested it out works, looks and feels like skin . Add a little of a girls makeup to it while your mixing it to give it the skin color . Pour out on a baking sheet or wax paper .Look up making Molds with Glycerin and Gelatine little water little makeup freeze for 10 min. Pull out . Just starting so I'm sure we have alot to learn .

I believe that applying heat (hairdryer) could help flattening the tapes in place after taking the mask off your face.
Also, covering the nose/mouth should be better when you're not using the mask anymore so the humid air from your breath won't warp it :) idk tho

In the video the mask seemed stay in shape really well. And some tapes are easier to paint on if that was part of your intrest.(like masking tape) to morph the shape you could use more paper, clay, or hot glue.
Theres a type of clay that is really trustworthy, found at the store. Palmer Clay which is an oven bake clay.
I've made masks out of cardboard. It didn't go well for me but there are lots of templates and styles of crafting the cardboard that are interesting in case if you wanted to try a completely new material.
