Dude, thanks! Thought Safelite guy was incompetent after changing my windshield out... But I see he just had swapped them. Same issue here, going to fix now, thanks!
Dude! I've looked for months on why my wiper didn't come up after motor swap. Every video and site said the wiper motors were bad, electrical problem, or something was jamming it up. You're the only one to suggest the wipers were flipped. 👏👏👏 thank you.
If it worked before the motor swap, I figured it’s my own mistake that caused the problem. Glad I could help and this is definitely one of the weirdest problems I’ve ever ran into working on a car haha. Help us back with the sub!
Thank you so much. I recently had coil overs installed at the shop and ever since then, the windshield wipers kept hitting. I even went so far to replace the wiper motor with no luck. I removed them, removed the wipers, moved the wipers once to recalibrate them and reinstalled the wipers with the same results. Sure enough, my issue was that the shop that installed the coil overs on my car reinstallled the wipers on the wrong side. 2 freaking years and it was because of that.
I got my windscreen replaced and I'm pretty sure the guy who did it put them on backwards after watching this video. Would I need to recalibrate etc or just swap them out? Appreciate the video its been driving my crazy
You should be able to just swap them. I usually have dust marks from when I removed them, but if you eyeball it, worst case you’ll just have to remove them and place them higher or lower at the bottom of the windshield. Doesn’t take too long
@@gapperformance after. I took them back off again and made sure I did everything right. Works fine going up but about halfway down they run into eachother
@@rilloguts3237 try swapping them around if you haven’t. I didn’t realize mine were the wrong way until struggling for a half hour haha. Otherwise try adjusting one side at a time until they stop contacting on the way down. They really are a pain tbh
