    This is the only Palak Paneer recipe I follow. I don't make it often, but when I do, I come here and watch it again to refresh my memory. I had never heard of the "black salt" until I watched this video - and now I have it, and it is stored safely in my protected stash of ingredients that everyone else is forbidden from touching.

    This is an excellent recipe. He is right to remind one of what translucent is, most Indians don't know. What his granny told him is one of the fads that even the grannys of the commentators below would have had. Very good Harpal. Thank god you did not put tomatoes

    Chef, thank you so much for this lovely recipe. I'm American but learned a little about Indian and Sri Lankan cooking from my friends in university. Chana masala and palak paneer are two of my all-time favorites. I even started making my own paneer at home, so I'm always searching for good recipes with paneer and this is my favorite so far. You just gained another subscriber. :)

    I have made this recipe multiple times and it comes out yum yum yummy. The only thing I changed is that before adding spinach purée, I purée the masala too. That way there is no specs of any masala while eating with palak paneer. Just add ghee before serving.

    I cooked this for my Indian colleagues at work (Dell) and while they gave it a thumbs up I could tell they did not find it to be hot enough as they were very quick to add the fresh green chili juice I brought in as a joke. What would you recommend for kicking up the heat a bit? More green chillis and more chili powder? Thank you very much. They also really enjoyed the veggie biryani of yours I made for them. Thank you so much! PS: They are mostly from Hyderabad.

    • @paddysingh8487
      @paddysingh8487 4 роки тому +1

      Add a couple of chillies more and chopped up. No chilly powder because that takes away the fresh taste of palak. You could sprinkle from a teaspoon to a tablespoon of garam masala depending on the quantity made. Instead of turmeric I use a teaspoon of Bolts curry powder which also has turmericin it. Also recommended is freshly ground coriander powder and not the one you buy from the shops.

    I have noted your request. However the rice is simple, take some simple boiled rice and take some butter add some chopped vegetable and stir fry for a few seconds, add the rice, little salt to taste and it is ready...

    He's a fine chef, with a wonderful recipe for my favourite Indian vegetarian dish Palak Paneer. I only wish he didn't REPEAT the word "Translucent" - EXACTLY TWELVE times!!! OMG! But, you must listen to his granny. Squeeze lemon juice into your greens for better digestion. LOL. That's priceless!!!!!!!!!!
