Was very much waiting for this review!! I actually ended up buying one a few months ago and have loved it since. One design choice i dislike is that the cord is supposed to fit into a very small nook inside the Daija, but it's so inconvenient to wrap up tight enough that i just stash it in my carry bag instead. Besides that, it's been nothing but great for me! This was also my first stick.
I also ended up getting custom parts i.e. Balltop, washer, stick shaft and some custom art that fits well, though the design choice is a bummer for less artwork

Peak content as always, keep it up man thanks for this review. Also what stick you can reccomend me im currently using the qanba drone and im looking for an upgrade that isnt too exp.
For licensed stuff, the Hori Alpha is probably the better option without spending too much. If you're going unlicensed, probably a Mayflash F500 Elite. If you go DIY, use whatever box is comfortable to you, drill holes into it, mount the buttons/lever, wire it up to a Raspberry Pi Pico (don't spend more than $9 on this) flashed with GP2040-CE. Brook options are much more expensive but they come with the benefit of just being "set and forget."
@@JoystickNY Sorry I am curious why? I kinda like big boxy sticks,I was hoping Razer would come out with a new Panthera, but so far nothing,I am almost pulling the trigger on the daija.....
Hey, as always I love your content! ❤ The PS4 Daija is a stick that I own, so let me add a few things. The change on the buttons to open up the stick is a huge upgrade. Because they were sticking out a lot on the PS4 version, the stick could be opened way to often accidentaly. Could happen while being in a backpack or playing on a chair with arm rests (yes really). The new buttons layout is a huge downgrade, you're right on this. While you did mention that you can't really mount korean levers out of the box, you didn't mention that you can't use screw in buttons neither. It was a huge pain in the ass on the older model and they still haven't changed this unfortunately. This stick is close to being very good, but these weird limitations made me switch to Qanba and Hori for my main sticks. Also the buttons layout is not standard Vewlix but that's up to preference wether you like or dislike this change!
I bought PS version. The usb connection is not firm for non-Nacon cable. The case wall is quite thick and the metal part of Nacon type C connector is longer than others. I had to cut the wall to made the usb hole bigger, then I could use other cable. Good arcade stick, easy to modify. In my opinion, the best arcade stick is customised.
Dang. I just bought this stick last week. I also bought a korean lever to mod my old Hori RAP V with it. I thought I could just mount it on the new one aswell. Seems like I need to carefully remove some plastic first if I want to. Not thrilled about it. But thank you so much again for your honest and detailed review.
Review the Qanba 2009 Arcade single player version. I would very much like to hear your input on that and compare it to other Qanba sticks such as the Titan & Obsidian 2.
Here's what i've learned about this stick upon looking it up and putting it on the list of possible sticks to buy. Overall its great specially that you can gain access to internals on the fly and executes it smoothly with minor hiccups and probably does it better that the MCZ TE2 and RAZER Panthera and not having to worry about replacing the cable since its USB type C, you just need to look out for what cable that can fit that hole. But it somewwhat shares some of the same issues that it has like the previous sticks that i've mentioned, mainly the hinge, which at some point can giveway and break dur to the material being plastic. I don't see any cons with the customization for the artwork since its one of the easiest out there. The only thing i'd be worried about is the platic overall as time progresses, will brittle out? Will you have issues with the plastic quality? Time will tell cause i never had an issue with the whole case with some of my sticks as time went on
@@JoystickNY that's also one thing we need to be worried about as well when buying this nacon daija. if ever it really boils down on how you take care of the stick on how long it will last
I Love the Daija's look but the latency is stupidly slow if you do your research. It's really one of those $60-$80 China arcade sticks rebranded. Got the Hori Fighting Alpha and The Qanba Titan and I've really been happy with them. I wonder why it's very rare that youtube reviewers talk about an arcade stick's input latency when we pay premium dollars for them. And that topic is really objective and not subjective.
Another great review you are awesome 👌🏾 To bad we haven't got to play yet (but with my sorry butt still tied to ps4, I'm not surprised) but with Akuma releasing I'm gonna be there today for sure!! Lol see you in the arena!!
i'm curious to see if you could try the cross up, seems like a good "cheat" controller for those like me who both like both leverless and stick. and of course it would make a cool review to watch.
though im not looking for a new stick im paying attention to whats available just incase my panthera dies, the Daija seems like the best choice for me with whats available at the moment
if I had to guess, xbox probably has some guideline saying the xbox button (and probably those others) needs to be on the front of an official controller, the notch was probably the only good way to add that without completely redesigning it (though I have seen a PS5 Daija with a similar notch so maybe that's just how they're making it now? idk)
This (the Daija) or Hori Alpha. The Hori Mini is terrible. Don't even waste your money on that one! Check out the 8bitdo sticks, those are affordable and wireless too.
@@JoystickNY i heard the modding part is harder than other stick, thing is i already bought it and using it, i wished that i took a deep thinking about it but it was at a good price tho. Thanks for the knowledge and help
very minor, u can drill a hole on the korean plate or shave the plastic, or add washers, but ur lever will be 1 cm shorter. not sure if it will make a differene
2 weeks and my Light kick button is sticky 😧😳 Do i return or exchange it. Ilike the hori but the non removable usb is the worst and for me a huge deterrent.
i have the nacon daija ps4 version an i dont feel the need to upgrade (outside of having a detachable cable), the first version was well built, so ppl who own the first one should just usb mod the cable later down the line, Good review overall
I bought this version as a stick it's rock solid supper easy to mod and artwork super easy to change. I agree the notch and side buttons are a pain but way better than the hori xbox version
U forgott to tell that the sanwa buttons need a plastic ring for proper alingment. Its already included but if u want to use different buttons u still need to look if u need the ring.
@@grimnir6169 Fortunately there's no need to upgrade anyway so I'm still good with my OG Daija. Unless people really want maximum compatibility with PS5 I'd recommend to look for the first gen Daija instead.
I have the old ps3,ps4,pc version. Nacon released software update which lowers the input delay. I've also changed the lever to korean one (sanjuks v6) and it works like a charm.
I don't really have many issues with the nacon daija. I got it mostly as a easy to mod victrix alternative for testing out arcade components, while also being a stick that I can use to play 3d fighting games casually. I mostly play 2d fighting games, and am in the process of learning hitbox with the razer kitsune on SF6 and DBFz.
Nice review 👌 thank you. The 2022 PlayStation version dont have share button on the top. It only have profile button lock switch and ine big PS button. I agree with you that the side buttons on ps4 2018 design in better
I know this is not the video about PC gaming. But I want to mention why you bringing awareness to PC gaming is especially important in this community. Since not all fighting games have cross-platform feature. Most, or almost all fighting games die within less than half a year on PC. That's just because the fighting community is usually so uneducated or unaware of many of the games being available on PC. Or just that people of this community aren't encouraged enough to try playing on PC. So you using your platform to encourage and educate and bring awareness, will make such a big ripple effect that will all be positive for the community and for the fighting game industry. Thank you as always for being so caring for the community and everything being user friendly. Much love 💜
I think the cost of entry for PC is a lot higher as well as the space a desktop takes up is a bit off-putting for FGC. I made the jump but 100% get why some of my FGC friends havent

Also the buttons layout is not standard Vewlix but that's up to preference wether you like or dislike this change!
thank you so much for the details, i forgot about the screw in part, 🙏
Victrix Pro Fs vs Nacon Daija ???? I’m between this two……. Also wonder if Victrix has a turbo button mode ?
Yes but does it DP?
I bought PS version. The usb connection is not firm for non-Nacon cable. The case wall is quite thick and the metal part of Nacon type C connector is longer than others. I had to cut the wall to made the usb hole bigger, then I could use other cable. Good arcade stick, easy to modify. In my opinion, the best arcade stick is customised.
Ayyyyy let's gooooo can't wait to see the whole review
Appreciate you
does it have a turbo function?
Dang. I just bought this stick last week. I also bought a korean lever to mod my old Hori RAP V with it. I thought I could just mount it on the new one aswell. Seems like I need to carefully remove some plastic first if I want to. Not thrilled about it.
But thank you so much again for your honest and detailed review.
try not screwing the 2 screws all the way down and see if it works, the lever might be 1 cm shorter tho,
Review the Qanba 2009 Arcade single player version. I would very much like to hear your input on that and compare it to other Qanba sticks such as the Titan & Obsidian 2.
i would love to, but i cant afford that, qanba prob dont like me either lol
The only problem i have had with this stick is in transit, where the latch mechanism would snap, i had to glue it every time i brought it with me.
Time will tell cause i never had an issue with the whole case with some of my sticks as time went on
great input, the hook to the locking mechanic i am worry, because i keep slamming it down
@@JoystickNY that's also one thing we need to be worried about as well when buying this nacon daija. if ever it really boils down on how you take care of the stick on how long it will last
where is mayflash f700?
i will look into that down the road, very behind schedule ♥
I Love the Daija's look but the latency is stupidly slow if you do your research. It's really one of those $60-$80 China arcade sticks rebranded. Got the Hori Fighting Alpha and The Qanba Titan and I've really been happy with them. I wonder why it's very rare that youtube reviewers talk about an arcade stick's input latency when we pay premium dollars for them. And that topic is really objective and not subjective.
Tbh, if I were to get a stick that opened up without removing screws, I think I'd go for this over the hori alpha. It has my preferred button layout
Thank You for another video. Always enjoy watching your review!!!
really appreciate you
Legendary review brudda.
Appreciate you
The One for PS4, PS5 & PC also has a Detachable Cable my Brother.
I mean ps4 only version, release in 2018,
Not the ps5 /ps one released in 2022
Another great review you are awesome 👌🏾 To bad we haven't got to play yet (but with my sorry butt still tied to ps4, I'm not surprised) but with Akuma releasing I'm gonna be there today for sure!! Lol see you in the arena!!
Thank you akuma trial is up 🙏
i'm curious to see if you could try the cross up, seems like a good "cheat" controller for those like me who both like both leverless and stick. and of course it would make a cool review to watch.
Brutal review, new sub, thanks for the effort!
still rocking the original ps4 nacon daija for everything I play, be it old or new, good shape, size and weight with sanwa parts, can't go wrong
True that 👍
though im not looking for a new stick im paying attention to whats available just incase my panthera dies, the Daija seems like the best choice for me with whats available at the moment
if u like the panthera, u prob like the daija
Demmm that joystick is beautiful! I have been waiting for this review
thank you for watching
if I had to guess, xbox probably has some guideline saying the xbox button (and probably those others) needs to be on the front of an official controller, the notch was probably the only good way to add that without completely redesigning it (though I have seen a PS5 Daija with a similar notch so maybe that's just how they're making it now? idk)
I for hori, the ps4 button was on the side; its possible xbox may have guidelines
What do you recommend for a beginner stick that's also affordable ?
Hori mini
This (the Daija) or Hori Alpha. The Hori Mini is terrible. Don't even waste your money on that one! Check out the 8bitdo sticks, those are affordable and wireless too.
@@AaronBrown-p8sDaija isn’t price friendly in country’s like Australia or uk, Americans have it so good
Hey joystickny, i wanted to know what are your thoughts on qanba crystal ??
Don buy the crystal, i think u be just paying for the led, depends on how much, if its cheap enough, then i guess is ok and replace the parts
@@JoystickNY i heard the modding part is harder than other stick, thing is i already bought it and using it, i wished that i took a deep thinking about it but it was at a good price tho.
Thanks for the knowledge and help
I love the design but looks like I'm going to have some issues modding with korean levers
very minor, u can drill a hole on the korean plate or shave the plastic, or add washers, but ur lever will be 1 cm shorter. not sure if it will make a differene
2 weeks and my Light kick button is sticky 😧😳
Do i return or exchange it.
Ilike the hori but the non removable usb is the worst and for me a huge deterrent.
U can try n clean the button , maybe something felt in
i have the nacon daija ps4 version an i dont feel the need to upgrade (outside of having a detachable cable), the first version was well built, so ppl who own the first one should just usb mod the cable later down the line, Good review overall
thank you, i prefer the ps4 version as well
Nice, thank you for this great awaited review
My pleasure
It looks like Nacon asked AI redesign the Razer Panthera & called it a day
lol that is a good one 🤣
You the man JNYC! Love your vids :)
thank you so much
I bought this version as a stick it's rock solid supper easy to mod and artwork super easy to change. I agree the notch and side buttons are a pain but way better than the hori xbox version
i feel you,i kinda like the hori alpha abit more than the nacon 🤣
This or the Hori Alpha?
You will only do reviews for arcade sticks, no leverless?
i am behind schedule, i have a long list i want to tackle before i get in to a new area, thank you
I have this stick for the ps5 for tekken and I’m waiting on a golden fanta Korean lever to swap out the sanwa JLF.
the pantera stay up?
off the top of my head,i think it does, it has a kick stand thingy
What stick should I get for PC?
Hori alpha is a good choice for mid range
It is good to play Kofxv?
I installed a seimitsu LSX-01 Nobi Bullet pro in my daija. To get it installed correctly i had to file the 2 pegs.
yes, the guy didnt do his homework, they shoulda put it on the 4 screws part, which a lot of sticks does
excelente, siempre un gusto ver tus videos.
thank you so much ,gracias 🥰
U forgott to tell that the sanwa buttons need a plastic ring for proper alingment. Its already included but if u want to use different buttons u still need to look if u need the ring.
I know it’s expensive, but I hope you can do a review on the makestick prime one day.
oh yea, its pretty expensive, maybe someday when its on sale
This channel is so good.
I own the first gen Daija and I don't really get why the new one is significantly more expensive.
So true, I bought mine for £75. Now it’s £250!
@@grimnir6169 Fortunately there's no need to upgrade anyway so I'm still good with my OG Daija. Unless people really want maximum compatibility with PS5 I'd recommend to look for the first gen Daija instead.
I think 200 should be the max for retail, 249 is abit high for what it offers
I have the old ps3,ps4,pc version. Nacon released software update which lowers the input delay. I've also changed the lever to korean one (sanjuks v6) and it works like a charm.
i prefer that version instead of the new 1 lol
Thanks for the tips bro i love ur videos
Thank you for watching
Best reviewer in the game ! Notch design process is so true lmao 🤣
thank you so much, why not just all the same size ? or style lol why every button doing their own thing lol
I just bought the ps5 version and I am absolutely loving it (had a Hori Real Arcade Pro previously) .
def a solid stick in general
Thank you very much. Very informative and needed.
appreciate you
I don't really have many issues with the nacon daija. I got it mostly as a easy to mod victrix alternative for testing out arcade components, while also being a stick that I can use to play 3d fighting games casually. I mostly play 2d fighting games, and am in the process of learning hitbox with the razer kitsune on SF6 and DBFz.
yea, just a few minors ones, no biggy , thank you for watching
Is there a ps4 model?
Mmh, cool case design but the buttons on the right side are too small, you can't see them so they should have been bigger than that
for real, if its not broken, they shouldnt change it
Great review thanks, might get the ps5 version next month.
Nice review 👌 thank you.
The 2022 PlayStation version dont have share button on the top. It only have profile button lock switch and ine big PS button.
I agree with you that the side buttons on ps4 2018 design in better
Thank you
I know this is not the video about PC gaming.
Much love 💜
Disagree.
thank you so much, i am usually just recommending stuff that i personally use or do, i treat everyone as a friend in real life
I think the cost of entry for PC is a lot higher as well as the space a desktop takes up is a bit off-putting for FGC. I made the jump but 100% get why some of my FGC friends havent
