I wanted to get back into SF and was looking for a replacement for the Madcatz fighting stick that I had like 20 years ago. Glad to have discovered Nacon Daija. what an amazing stick! Great overall design. Love the size and weight. Nacon did an amazing job with it.

I wish someone would make a solid stick specially for tekken 8, the only one ever in existence out of the box is the etokki korean edition. for the life of me i don’t know why one of these can’t make a korean lever for tekken. its vastly different from japanese, they use battops with circular or no gate and a high tension stick. This is intentional, as unlike street fighter you dont ride the gate all the time you have to return to neutral for a lot of the movement, wave dashing, korean back dash, combos etc really really wish someone would make a stick like that right out of the box because it’s ridiculous to me that i have to spend 200 to 400 dollars on a stick and every single player swaps out the stick, the gate, the buttons etc sooooo basically you paid for a shell.
I should warn people because I don't think a lot of people are discussing it too much, but the weight really does hurt this product. It's a great controller, sits nicely on your lap and it's somewhat short compared to longer sticks, but holding it after a while becomes uncomfortable and if you take it to like cons or you're roaming around the tourney with it in your bag, it WILL start weighing you down, ESPECIALLY if you have other stuff in your bag. I don't have this version, I have the black PS4 version imported from Europe (same weight) and use the qanba guardian bag. So just a warning to people who plan on getting this, other than that it is a very nice stick
@@mauvevisive7250nobody uses Xbox sadly It's almost embarassing to carry an Xbox arcade stick. It's sad times where Sony owned EVO and pretty much people think the FGC is just in EVO which it isn't.

I have the older ps4 version and it's very solid. I don't have the hori alpha but from memory that should be mostly plastic so daija should be alot more solid that that imo
I've been using a Panthrea I got 2nd hand for really cheap for the last 3 years as my Hori RAP N was having issues randomly disconnecting. From all the review's of the current sticks ive seen I think the Daija seems like the best option if I have to replace my Panthrea. The Panthrea once you've removed the stock art and have plexi still seems like the best stick the Daija looks like it has some nice QOL improvements from it with the art, USB-C and storage looks better. But the hinge's are a bit concerning

It’s kinda insane the amount of ppl complaining about price like they’re broke or something, this is late 90s or early 2000s anymore, sticks are expensive and $250 is cheap compared toto other countries.
@@NekMinuteG well the thing is for 200 bucks they could at least try to pack more into it. the high price is mainly because not many people buy these and when they do they are kept in use so long because their simplistic design makes them more robust and repairable compared to your average controller which people buy much more frequently and in multiples. in fact the main reason people even bother to look at this more is because of the ps5 compatibility which is useful for tournaments.
@Briar Rabit it's November 07, 2023 today. I am planning to buy my 1st and last fight stick and would request your honest opinion. I am stuck between Victrix Pro and Nacon Daija. obsidian is also good. Nacon Daija has me concerned about flimsy plastic hinges while Victrix is the most expensive option... I don't want an entry-level stick like Mayfair, just wanna spend once and make it count for at least next gen... ps6. how would you rate your personal best from all the options you have tried. Thanks in advance
I'm exactly in the same boat. which one did you end up buying? i've read some things about the Nacon Daija which concerns me regarding about it's reliability (some people say it only lasted a few months). I've been thinking between the Hori Alpha and this one. But not sure yet. Any suggestions?
@@martinpena4544 I bought daija in start of December I think, or maybe end of November. I am still in the return period of January 31 but so far I don't intend to return it So far it's doing great. First I used it with PS4 pro for a month or so... Then I built a gaming PC and have been using it with the PC. For PC I have some cheaper options available but I still want to keep daija instead. The lid does not seem flimsy to me as I had feared. It does not feel hollow either maybe because I have not touched other solid options but daija seems awesome so far. I have changed spring, actuator, and gate a few times to match my preference and so far I'm happy with it. Reason why I don't want to return is because I like the looks of it, satisfied with quality and getting used to it pretty well. Just out of curiosity, I rechecked best fight sticks of 2024 on Google and now daija is showing on overall best winner on many popular sites so that is also good to know. Tried finding etokki omni to test Korean lever but could not find it. For sanwa I think daija is a solid option.
unfortunately, this stick is not available in any asian market. i dont think we have to order from EU/UK markets. the shipping fees is goddamn outrageous.
Because of Street Fighter's (and other 6-button fighter's) default mapping. They map hard punch and hard kick to R1 and R2, with L1 and L2 being used as shortcut buttons, so to keep the punches and kicks in order fighting sticks swap the Ls and the Rs. That way you don't have to remap anything in-game.
are you able to install a korean lever for this stick? specially the ones that has a tall collar? this caught my eye as opposed to some arcade sticks out there
I have this stick and love it! But it doesn't work for PS5 Share Play...the PS5 quits with an unknown error when I try to play with friends. Then I switch to a DualSense controller and Share Play works perfectly. Why does Sony not allow Officially Licensed arcade sticks to be used for Share Play?!

@@mindspacegaming Yo I bought the stick not long after I commented on this video. I have not tried to mount it in the Daija because I also found a Razor Panthera and put my Taeyoung Fanta lever in that one. The stick is so good except for one small thing.
