Great video. I've been checking out Point Reyes videos, and this is my favorite so far. Beautiful photography, and I like how you show it's a planned itinerary that can be completed in one day. Inverness with shipwrecks, Cypress Tree Tunnel, Sea Lion Overlook, South Beach Overlook, Lighthouse, Elephant Seal Overlook, Chimney Rock, and Drake's Beach with more elephant seals.
Thank you very much! Ya, all in one day. It's an amazing place. I still plan on going back and getting in some hikes. It's a very unique place. I hope you get to see it all 🙂. Thanks again for this awesome comment.
Yay! Glad you went. What a beautiful area, right? Hoping my video spurned you guys to check out the area. I feel, as I mentioned previously, it's such an underappreciated area IMO. Great footage of the elephant seals!
Good video sir, The Fog (1980) movie(which was shot at the lighthouse and in that area) was on tv last night and there was a shot right at the overlook and I thought it looked incredible so had to do some research and ended up at your video, thanks for sharing!
Hey, just found your channel while doing a little prep work: my wife and I are taking a trip to Central California (our third one in 5 years) at the end of May and the first two videos of yours I found - this one and the Big Sur/Monterey/Santa Cruz one - are right in line with our vacation. Great videos!
I'm glad the videos are helpful. Thank you. I do a lot of hiking videos, I plan on doing more videos like this as well. They are fun road trips and videos to put together. I hope you guys have fun. Any questions, ask away, Cheers 🍻
Good question. I try and add that into my videos. This trip was rushed and we did not stop anywhere fun to eat. I also would have to look. Next trip I'll check out fun spots to eat nearby.
Hello! I love this area! So many adventures to do. I plan on going back to the lighthouse when it's open. That's awesome you got to go. Now you gotta go back and explore more 🙂
Hello, great video! There are so many different trailheads out there and I was wondering, where can I find the location of that welcome sign in your video at 1:35 ? Thank you!
Thank you! I'm not exactly sure how to describe it. Essentially after the Point Reyes boat, head to the Cypress trees and you will come upon it. Hope you find it 🙂
Thank you! I use the Sony zv-e10. The lens I always use is the Sigma 16mm f1.4. The filter is an ND filter. Thanks to you I just updated this video's description info. I put all the gear I use in the video description. Thanks and to many more adventures!
That's a good question. It's been a while and I can't remember. I think it was summer/spring time? Right now (winter) would have beautiful clear days out there. It's such an amazing place!
photographers 😅 always running things 🤣 Great video! The area looks beautiful, I have never been to Point Reyes, but now I want to go! the elephant seals look crazy specially how they move, I've only seen them laying there making strange noises, never on the run like that that's great! Whats up with the lighthouse? Why was it closed?
Thanks! The lighthouse and all the indoor stuff was closed for covid. I figured I'd at least get to walk down to the lighthouse because it's all outside but nope. I'm planning more videos in the area; really beautiful area!

Very cool epic music!
Thank you! 🎶
What time if day did you start to see and hike all that you did?
Hey, we got there fairly early and was able to do all this comfortably in 1 day. Amazing place. I'm guessing we probably got there by or before 10am.
Is there any picnic area around? With tables if someone wants to bbq?
There are areas for picnics but I don't know about bbq
Great video! As a local it’s funny how you say pt Reyes and Inverness lol
Thank you! I did a ton of research on the area, but unfortunately, not on how to pronounce the names 🤣. I learn from every video 😉. Amazing location!
Hi Paul! Nice Video.. What camera do you use to film? Thank you so much

Did you complete everything in the video in one day? If not, how many days? Thanks!
Hello! Did it all in 1 day. Did it all pretty chill too, didn't rush. It's all close to eachother. Fun time, amazing place.
Which month did you visit?
That's a good question. It's been a while and I can't remember. I think it was summer/spring time? Right now (winter) would have beautiful clear days out there. It's such an amazing place!
I have a pic of myself at your opening scene, it's beautiful country.
Edit: I see it's South Beach Overlook
Awesome! It is beautiful. I can't wait to go back and explore more.
