Choose Adventure California Style

We want to bring you adventure of all kinds; hikes, roadside attractions, theme parks, history, all things adventure. We hope to show you places you can explore on your own or if you can't, then watch through us. We are all about adventure and taking detours those adventures might throw at us.
Disneyland| 2 adults, 2 days, how much money?
How much does it cost to go to Disneyland in California? In this film I show every item purchased during our 2-day visit. I show what the price is for Magic Key holders and non-Magic Key holders. This is end of 2024 and prices have already increased. So, this film should be valid information leading into 2025. All prices were rounded for simplicity. I did not include the price of parking as our hotel was within walking distance to the park. Let me know if I left out anything. Hope you enjoy!

Geezus, that is expensive! I am reading below the disgust with the high prices. It's all about supply and demand. As long as people pay those prices, they will stay high. I am confused though, you guys went on Thunder Mountain, but, in your previous video about Tianas, you mentioned it's the old Thunder Mountain? 🤔
@SippyCupAdventures it's very expensive. Can't even get a sweatshirt under $50 nowadays 😕. So, Tiana's Bayou Adventure is what splash mountain used to be. Thunder Mountain is still Thunder Mountain. I'll put that in the description of Tiana's film to clarify. It comes out to roughly $1k a day for 2 people who buy tickets. The Magic Keys massively help until you have to renew them 🫣😵💫. Very expensive adventure, for sure!
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle Ahh, it was Splash Mountain. Got it. 1K per day 😬That is hotel included I gather.
Yes, everything included. I didn't include the price for parking because our hotel Is within walking distance. Our hotel is the best bang for your buck. Most people are probably paying double.
how many weeks was this trip? the price would suggest at least 2
🤣🤣. It's so expensive. And we don't spend a lot, but it still adds up. Essentially $1k a day for 2 people. They just came out with a lightning lane pass that allows you to ride all the lightning lane rides as much as you want and it's $400 per person per day 🤯😳
I have that same backpack!
It's a good backpack!
Your video didn't show up until i did a search. Bambi says WTF!!
Indeed. Maybe your notifications are off 🤷♂️. Bambi is right.

the tier pricing system is insane. there should be a flat fee for everyday. it's like they're punishing you for not being able to visit on certain days. overall disneyland/dca has just become outrageously expensive. they are definitely trying to price out people who don't earn 6 figures or more. with merch and food, the cost for a family of four for 2 days would be in the thousands. with the new administration coming in it's going to be even more difficult to afford a trip to the disneyland resort for out of towners. if they think they can rely on locals to keep their heads afloat with the economy taking a nosedive they are sadly mistaken. i'm glad i have over 50 years of HAPPY disneyland memories to fall back on. i haven't been to the parks since the pandemic shut down discontinued my AP,and it's looking like i will not be going anytime soon. for me,even as a local, it's just too much money anymore.
It really is crazy expensive and getting more expensive fast. Our last trip was about 8 months prior to this. We noticed just in 8 months things got more expensive. I also think it's that time of year prices go up for the following year. It's definitely an expensive adventure
What are your guys thoughts on the lightning lane? Is it worth the money? My wife and I are always debating purchasing it. It doesn't seem like it helped you guys get on a ton of rides. Were there other rides you got on that you didn't show in the video?
Hey! There is a ton of stuff I left out of the video. The lighting lane multi pass is definitely worth it. We went ride to ride to ride with it. It's also fun to book a ride at a certain time, go get a snack and then go get your gaureenteed walk on ride. Yes, definitely worth it. Give it a try next trip. Once you scan to get onto a ride you can immediately book your next ride.
would a juice box fit? 😂
Probably not 🤣. I took this one back and got a way better treadmill. Clocked 100s of miles so far and no issues. Someone in the comments asked which one and I left the link.
Which month did you visit?
That's a good question. It's been a while and I can't remember. I think it was summer/spring time? Right now (winter) would have beautiful clear days out there. It's such an amazing place!
does this have 2 zippers so i can keep the footbox open ?
The 2 Mammoths that I have zips all the way around. So, ya, if their like mine you would be able to keep it open.
This was fun! I don't recall hearing you say, clearly this is a new ride at Disneyland, but did it replace an old ride? The Pirates of the Caribbean, maybe?
@SippyCupAdventures I suppose I should've said that 🙄. Yes, this ride replaced Splash Mountain. We are annual pass holders. They let us annual pass holders ride it before it opens to the public. It was a good time. I figured hard-core disney fans would like to see the whole ride.
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle Ahhh. So, Splash Mountain was in Critter Country (I had to look that up).
@SippyCupAdventures yes, now it's bayou country.
Fun video, Bambi wants to go on that ride!
Bambi would love it!
I love that you can tour so many parts of the country without a map in this place!
🤣
Thank you for sharing- great video
Thank you! It was an event to remember 😊
2 more days til 2024 version!
Awesome! I loved this race 🤙
Hey there I live outside of San Andreas ca and my piece of the planet has a little path that is frequently used by cougars, mother and two cubs and the first time I ever saw one was going outside to feed the dog , with big flashlight in hand I stepped out and heard that scream - I aimed upwards and saw one on top of the doghouse eating the bag of food! I was far enough away that I didn’t bother to run and shined my light on myself and yelled “Hi” and then it spooked and jumped down but only walked away not run ! Changed my life after that and now I’m always looking out and never leaving food outside! A week later my wife saw it and called me on the phone to come and get her from my shop because she saw it in between the two buildings! We lived and I still haven’t seen one since then but I hear them all the time around here. They are awesome creatures and they are safe around here, humans not so much! Thanks for listening Erik H.
It was great to meet you at the race, Paul! I have been watching you for a while now and didn't even know I met a famous youtuber and was running with.
It was great meeting you too! I loved how friendly everyone was 😊. Best aid station food. I'll have to share this video link with Gail 🤙.
I was gonna say, a race? We didn’t see anyone else 😮but then you explained that it was a first time event. Yeah, that “You are trespassing, you’re on camera” is clearly a “default” recording that complexes use. It happens at our pool in our complex. Scared the shit out of us the first time we heard it. It works though 😅So, as you evolve in your racing career, you can now notate that running on asphalt is rough. 😂
I did find out later that cats were more than likely the intruders on the properties 😂. I did put 9 others competed at the end of the video. I should have put that in the beginning 🤔. It was a great event and great experience for this rookie ultrarunner 🤙
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle Can you imagine living in those complexes and having to hear that go off because of cats??? I saw at the end how many runners participated. You said that it was "lightly attended at the beginning and it was a first time event." I would not have put that at the beginning. People would click off. "Why am I watching a race with only 9 people?" I hung around, well, I always hang around, but, the casual watcher may have been intrigued by the, "Where are all the runners? Why is he doing this"? Leaving it a mystery is okay! 🤔
@SippyCupAdventures OK, cool, that was what I thought as well. And I know! Those recordings went off a lot!
Was there anyone else running this race?
Yes, 9 others competed, it states that at the end 😉
So your telling me you can't pause the clock for a 6 hour nap and then come back to finish ???
Time stops for no one, except Chuck Norris 🤙 oh, and Bambi
Just drived down there and I SWEAR ON MY LIFE I saw someone walking across the road, it was nighttime and super dark so I didn’t see that guy bleeding or anything but one thing I can guarantee that I will never be going anywhere near that road ever again.
My team went out there and was posted for hours n got nothing
Wow. I knew a bit of Rangers plight, but had no idea it came about so quickly. Great work, Paul and knowing, "something is not right." Very touching video. 🥰
Thanks. It was all very crazy and the diagnosis did not sit well with me. And not that it matters, but the veterinarian never gave me props for figuring out what was really wrong with him. Goes to show, question everything.
❤thank you, great information to know
Thank you. Yes, I had to put the information/story out there. Maybe it'll be helpful to someone.

Yes, we did find that out. Hopefully, we don't ever need one again. I do agree to get your own as the therapy sessions were not cheap 😵💫

Different type of adventure for sure, thanks for sharing all the info, you might be saving other peoples pets also 🙌🏼
Thanks. That's why I made the video. Maybe it will help save a pets life. I definitely had to share.
WOW! this is a great story. Im so glad Ranger is doing os much better. Bambi approves this message.
Thanks, we are too. He's doing awesome, and you can tell he's stoked to be walking again. I'm glad Bambi approves, I know she wasn't the biggest fan of our last adventure video.
Hey guys! A very detailed review of a cute place. For the price, seems like they have the appropriate amenities. I know Santa Cruz is near and dear to you and your families hearts with much history. For us, we prefer many other coastal towns, for this reason, the "riff-raff" factor. I don't want to sound insensitive, sorry if I am, but I'd be curious to hear how the town has changed, if at all, from back in the days when you and pops were surfing there?
@SippyCupAdventures Thanks! I kept thinking of you guys on this trip. You've done so many fun places to stay videos. This area for me can have a touch of rif raff in the evenings. Not so much the time of year when we went, more so the on season when the Boardwalk is open. We've always considered this side, the west side, the more touristy spot. I'd like to find a place on the east side and try that out. This place felt very safe. We believe the rif raff we were hearing was coming from the outside bar at Jack's. I haven't been in the water for a minute, so idk how the vibes have been lately. We had a blast, and I'd love to do more of these videos. Cheers!
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle Yeah, hoots and hollers from local bars is normal. I do have a video I am working on now that is SOO dam detailed, it's making me overthink it. 😁You know how that goes. Trying to find the perfect title too, about the Fishermans' Wharf/Pier 39 area, typically where we DON"T stay. Trying to navigate a unique title different than most, but, yet gets a good Tubebuddy score.
@SippyCupAdventures That video sounds awesome and fun. I know, titles are tough, and you wanna be unique but not misleading. I'll be looking for that video when it goes live 🤙
that area looks awesome! the no dogs of the wharf thing is a big red flag, I wouldn't go just because of that 🤷♂

@wollertz This is California. It says it in the thumb and title. Did you watch the video?
Bambi enjoyed the Tour! thanks except for the No Dogs allowed part
Oh dang, I'll have to make a dog friendly hike for her. Didn't think about that 🤔
Thanks for the map!
😂
I commend you, Paul. I can't even imagine how bad your feet hurt, and to push through is simply amazing. Is this your first running video where you brought out the drone? I don't recall, but it added the perfect touch to the production. And, please let me know again, (Brianna) the source of that quote at the end? It is beautiful, and it may be one that I'd like to use. 🤔
@SippyCupAdventures Thank you! The drone footage was courtesy of the race director: Everyday Endurance Races. I never get blisters, so getting so many was a massive shock! Essentially what happened was I wore old sandals on race week. They cut up my feet a bit. I didn't think much of it because I've always had bulletproof feet. The cuts opened and blisters formed. It was very painful. The quote is by Brianna Wiest, from her book 'The Mountain is you'. Your new life is going to cost you your old one. It’s going to cost you your comfort zone and your sense of direction. It’s going to cost you relationships and friends. It’s going to cost you being liked and understood. It doesn’t matter. The people who are meant for you are going to meet you on the other side. You’re going to build a new comfort zone around the things that actually move you forward. Instead of being liked, you’re going to be loved. Instead of being understood, you’re going to be seen. All you’re going to lose is what was built for a person you no longer are.
Such an awesome job pushing through the pain and your video is amazing. Can’t wait to see what you can accomplish in 2025.
Thank you, Brian 🤙
