I was at the airport waiting for them to call my plane...guy sitting across from me had Bon Jovi blasting through his headphones...this song comes on and the guy next to me starts singing it under his breath...within a minute you had a whole bunch of people waiting on planes singing this song lol 😂 it was fantastic!
Classic lol 👍
It’s contagious and s great karaoke song
@Kara Aguilar ...and those people were most likely different politics, different religions, different skin colors... Music brings people together... VERY COOL !!! :):):)
I feel like this song shows a working relationship. Everyone has bad days. On his bad days she steps it up and supports him. On her bad days he comes along side her and gives her encouragement. That's what keeps them going. If they both fell apart at the same time or if one person is only concerned with their own issues and feelings, well it will never last.
That's real love and commitment. Even in the hardest of time you need a parter you can lean on, and be the strong one when it's needed. 30 years now for my wife and i , we still lean on each other all the time. Especially now. These days. Great , positive song. Every young couple hear it. Ya , it's snappy and good. But there is a real message there. Many get it naturally, but some don't. Great relationship are hard work, be so, so worth it. Take care.
Yes, that's exactly what it's about. Jon Bon Jovi wrote it based on a couple he knew (I think it was his cousin and his girlfriend), who were struggling but they loved each other and that gave them strength to keep going
Pretty much. Every day ain't perfect, but help each other.
He pretty easy on the eyes too huh? Every teenage girl growin up in the 80's was in love with Jon Bon Jovi 💘
Hell, I was 8 when this album came out and I was in love with him..lol
Omg yes!!!
You speak the truth - we were all in love with him. And he aged very well, too!
@@TheAmocca yes he did!
That's my sister you described, LOL
“Oh, we gotta hold on. Ready or not. You live for the fight when that’s all that you’ve got.” That has always been my favorite line from this song. I LOVE the 80’s.
One of the greatest songs with guitar riffs all over the place. Those riffs just blow me away. The chorus is great but Richie just nailed it with the riffs. Top 3 of all time.
My favorite band for over 30 years...
Groot! Bon Jovi is amazing in concert!!!
Bon Jovi has been speaking into my life for almost 40 years..
This song came out in 1986 from The Slippery When Wet album. When this song came out, my wife and I have been married 3 years, we made this song our life song story. Every young couple should, adopt this song as their Life Song. This song is 37 years old now, and my wife and I Celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary this past August 12. This song has played a role in our Hearts, Mind's and Lives for all those years!
I've heard this song hundreds of times. It never gets old. One of the best ever. Enjoyed hearing it again!
Bon Jovi has had so many hits over the decades. Great humanitarian to. He has a restaurant in New Jersey (where he is from) that he also feeds a lot of the homeless there. Great way to give back. Always loved this guy.
My favorite of theirs is "You Give Love A Bad Name"! GOOD!!!!
Love the big hair! You can never get enough Bon Jovi! Miss the 80's so much best years of my life!
Voice box / Talk box. This song pretty much summarises the band and is their best moment.
It was amazing to be at one of these concerts. The energy was incredible. Thinking back now I cannot believe they did this night after night for months. Being a rockstar is definitely not as easy as most would believe.
I knew you'd love this one. It's got a lot of heart. It's like the spiritual cousin to Journey's Don't Stop Believin'.
Never really saw it that way. Honestly from they day the broke on the scene I was like "These guys are Bruce Springsteen 2.0"
Speaking of Journey I listened to them BEFORE Steve Perry and I appreciated the musicians (being one and listening to everything) but I remember the exact moment I heard Journey WITH Perry on the radio while hanging out with some friends. I wasn't paying much attention as the song was "okay" and Rollie started the song but then... Perry kicked in with "When the summer's gone...". I was like HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FFFFF.... WAS THAT... and made everyone shut up so I could hear....
Feelin that way...
ua-cam.com/video/vg5vziU-qIs/v-deo.html
I think this is when Journey was kind of "trying out" the new singer and doing duets.
80’s rock at its best. “Keep the Faith” and “Slippery when Wet”, two great albums.
I have seen Bon Jovi at least 6 times in concert. His shows last about 3 hours. Worth every penny!
Yes do more bon Jovi song like " always, it's my life, and rollercoaster.
"It's my life" since its kind of the sequel to this one. Bad Medicine for sure though
Never say Goodbye
how about Keep the faith and These days?
YES, another person who knows Rollercoaster :)
@@lucianmykel781 I went to his concert years ago. I love that song
One of the best concerts I have ever been to. Slippery When Wet 1987! It's so weird to me to see someone react to songs I have known most my life. lol
80's soft rock, nothing beats it.
Soft Rock?
🙄
Soft rock???????
Yeah, soft rock, not heavy rock like AC/DC, Iron Maiden etc.
@@Hondadctrider This is far from soft rock, more like arena rock/hair metal, really .
Every now and then a band comes along and just writing and performing hit after hit and even during their tenure setting a good example for for bands and that is Bon Jovi
I used to play ice hockey at an arena where they solely played Bon Jovi songs between games and period. Never did find out why, but it was cool.
Great song...this is an Anthem from the 80's...Wanted Dead or Alive was my favorite song by them...they had some other good ones...Bad Medicine...You Give Love A Bad Name...Bed of Roses is a beautiful power ballad.
Hey... don't forget born to be my baby, and Runaway... ;-) Sometimes I forget how huge many of the 80's arena rock bands actually were. I listen to this stuff and feel exactly like I'm 17 again.
Bon Jovi is one of those bands that are full of amazing songs.
You need to hear the acoustic version of this song
Your face literally lit up during the first chorus! Love it!
Girl you bringing me to tears. Taking me back to my youth in a much better world than we are in now. Cheers from a fifty something woman in Canada. Much love
I remember my older sister having a huge crush on him! Those definitely were the big hair band days!!
same
I remember having a huge crush on him! Me and my best friend-
Love some Bon Jovi classic rock n roll. He was cute too:)
India, this is a true story, Jon proved that this girl Gina, is his one and only love. They are together today making everything in their hearts a reality. Can't tell you how much I respect these two, they truly are amazing human beings. So proud of them, and I wish them nothing but the best. Check out how in real life they have a restaurant helping those who are struggling. And so much more!
Isnt jon bon jovi still married to his high school sweet heart? Also bout the only band who stayed clean and together
Ummm...Richie Sambora quit the band several times, mostly due to alcohol issues. But yes, for the most part the band remained "clean".
Yes they are still married.
Yes Dorthea
yes, and they own a diner where theres no prices on the menu. you pay what you want, mostly it's for homeless and needy who can't eat. you can pay, not pay or help out in the kitchen. Jon is there a lot helping. he really gives back, a great guy. I met him at 13 in the 80's and he was nice then to me.
Yes is still married high School sweetheart and I'm pretty sure the band has never had to deal with drugs and alcohol problems
She don't know me and runaway and only lonely great classics
"Runaway" is a great song. I'll check out the others.
Only the Lonely is fantastic!
These guys really make u fill like u r living in the 80s saw them live in 87 this came out in 86 great years for music. If u listen to the whole slippery when wet y will get it. Then new Jersey right after.
Love Bon Jovi! Two of my favorites (slow songs)are I`ll Be There for You and Never Say Goodbye and (fast songs) She Don`t Know Me and Runaway and Lay Your Hands on Me!Saw them in concert back in the 80s,Cinderella opened up for them!It was Awesome!!
Bon Jovi would not be the same without the very underrated Ritchie Sambora. Nobody ever talks about him but he is a great guitar player and singer. Jon and Ritchie are what makes the Bon Jovi harmony sound so awesome.
Absolute truth
@@gabeackerman4964 Right? Thanks Man.
This song and video still pulls you in immediately, holds up so well after all these years.
India; beautiful reaction! I saw them perform this in Toronto; too many years ago than I would like to admit, but around 1990.
They used the aerial cables in the show and Jon fell down close to the audience. Everyone body surfed him back to the stage. It was amazing! ❤️
India, sorry if I comment too much but...your reactions are amazing. You get it.
i see you are enjoying the 80's bands.... this was all fun music. a great one to check out is john cugar melloncamp he has many great tunes also
Eh...not sure about that
Jack And Diane
Hurts so Good
for 80s music, would love to see how she reacts to Poison 😂
Livin on a Prayer 1986: Beginning of Tommy & Gina
It’s My Life 2000: “For Tommy and Gina, who never backed down!”
Bon Jovi have so many hits, so go deep, they are awesome!!
One of the best songs in the 80's.
This is one of my all time favorite rock songs! I love how your face lit up as you got into the song!
Bon Jovi is amazing. This is my favorite song.
It's nice to see someone see through the upbeat music of this song to truly understand the message
That's what made this group special. They were legendary story tellers in their prime.
Groot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love when you get your head groove going lol. Bon Jovi was pretty much the soundtrack of my teenage years. Rock on, stay safe.
You are such a breath of fresh air. I absolutely love your upbeat attitude and your reactions.
Nothing will ever beat the 80s. NOTHING!
My first concert..Cinderella opened for them..cira 1987..I was in the 10th grade..awesome!! No way you could stay seated!!
Love Bon Jovi and their lyrics but LOVING your interpretation and love you!
Yes my number 1 out of any other song's. Best song ever.
“Never Say Goodbye’ by Bob Jovi. React to that one India. Beautiful love. U will enjoy it.
I liked this band for 2yrs in middle school, '84
I saw them live last year and let me tell you they are electric no one sat the whole time - legends
As an older man love this song and you girl.
Oh how I simply LOVED your face when the chorus started. .a true romantic. .LOVE YOUR CHANNEL
Yessss my favorite band plus my favorite Bon Jovi song!
My absolute favorite Bon Jovi song is "Bad Medicine"! It doesn't matter where I am, if that song comes on, I have to stop and jam out!
This maybe one of the biggest hooks in rock n roll
Bon Jovi had a lot of cuts back in the day. Dead or Alive, Bad Medicine, You give love a bad Name, Blaze of Glory and Always. Listen to those.
Great reaction! I've been a Bon Jovi fan since they began. Seen them live 15 times. You got 36 years of great music to catch up on!!! Xxx
PLEASE DO " ALWAYS"...... It's beautiful!
Great live band as well. Saw them in Sydney when I was 17. Freakin awesome
This is one of my favorites of their songs
Love your doing 80s music! Greatest music was the 80s! Keep up the great job! You’re doing 👍 great...
Miss the 80s and 90s. We went to at least 3 concerts a month.
This is the ultimate stadium anthem. They were perfect anthem rock. This group is iconic.
Take my hand we will make it I swear. Is the theme the cement of every young couple in love starting out together in life.
Yeaahh !! More hard rock!!! At last it's Friday, India!!! You rock!!
it's hard too explain how big these guys were in the 80s... this gives you alitttle taste
i love how you love country and rock and classic rock and metal
And this is where the famous Bon Jovi fringed leather jacket, originated, lol! I have one myself, and still wear it to this day, hehehe!!
Songs just don't get more 80s than this. Epic.
Keep rocking Bon Jovi. I grew up on this stuff, except my parents weren't having any "rock music" so its as an adult that I began to love Bon Jovi!
That hair. I so loved his hair.
I was at a jason aldean concert in Atlantic city 3 years ago the dj played this song right before he came on man the whole crowd was singing so much energy i got goosebumps a moment i will never forget
Best decade and best music of all times
I must say I love the little Groot statue on your shelf!
about time Bon Jovi made it into the rock and roll hall of fame
Thos is the first song i can really ever remember hearing first in life. I felt itbthen
My very first concert... Bon Jovi. 💞💞💞 The love and tears were REAL!! This song and "Always" had me hyped and then bawling. 🤟😭🤟😭🤣👍 AMAZING!!!
4:58 "She wants to run away"
There you have the next song with Jon Bon Jovi.
Bon Jovi - Runaway
Next one should be “I’ll Be There For You”
a great song!
...or Never Say Goodbye.
And "thank you"!
These three words I swear to you...
Bit of trivia. Jon wanted to give this song to another band, he wasnt that fond of it. The rest of the band convinced him otherwise. It ended up one of their biggest hits and a stadium anthem.
This song is based on actual friends of Jon's...their names have been changed to protect the innocent so he said with his beautiful smile.
Love Bon jovi! Love me some 80s hair rock 😊😊😊
This song was almost left off of the album Slippery When Wet. Jon did not feel it was good enough but Ritchie talked him into including it and releasing it as a single.
The video incorporates their hard work on the stage and the end result of working hard for a successful show and how everything falls in place if you keep up the GOOD fight.
I love this song. Here I am all singing along to it.
I remember buying as many albums as I could when I would see one at the store. This was in the earlh 2000's for me, when I was in middle school when I first heard his music. Bon Jovi has some amazing songs.
*I really like when you explain your thoughts on certain parts. Gives it a more in depth to it, and I never really thought that far into the song.*
Living on a Prayer was released in 1986, I remember driving my nuts with it at 6 yrs old
There are many Bon Jovi songs through their career that include Tommy & Gina
I only recall two. The other being "It's My Life".
jp3813 also in 99 in the Shade and Lie to Me
@@michelenelson3513 I looked up the lyrics of "Lie to Me" and it doesn't mention any names.
jp3813 the song itself is about Tommy and Gina
@@michelenelson3513 Did the band actually confirm that? Where'd you get that info?
India you gotta do “ Born To Be My Baby” by. Bob Jovi it’s like the continuation of Living ion a Prayer
i love your reaction and your personality your great another great Bon Jovi song is Blaze of Glory
This was THE anthem for the 80s generation
I didn't think there was a person on this planet that has not heard this song...I guess we just found one...
yeah, i thought this one, out of all of them, was pretty ubiquitous.
Some people grow up only listening to one genre of music. Also many react channels are created by people born long after these songs were hits. It's not the crazy.
This song was everywhere in the 80's. It hasn't been THAT long since the 80's, has it?
What age has she? She is like 31 lol
@@jmontenegro1124 This song is older than 31. 1986. Not sure why everyone expects that people should know all the songs and genres they like.
Love his hair, I had a perm like that.. back in the day. 🥰
They may not have money, but they have love. And really thats all you need
I can still only hear "Squidward on a chair" when the chorus comes around -.-
We’re all just living on a wing and a prayer...!
Jon BonJovi and the band still rock it today and help others by donating millions to good causes for real people.
80s rock was great....all about getting girls, losing girls......no violent lyrics......
