The 80s was a fabulous time to be alive, and not just for the unparalleled music. It was a wild ride. John was a great frontman, he really knew how to energize the crowd. All of us loved the big hair. And for me, the earrings too. From watching these reaction vids, I’ve learned that a lot of the young women today also like the hair. John was a genuine heartthrob. If you haven’t already, I’d love to see you’re reactions to “Lay Your Hands On Me”. Johns entrance is fabulous.

In January of 1987, my dad was 20 years old took this girl he was crushing on to a Bon Jovi concert in Seattle. Then in October of 1989 they became parents to my older sister. Dad credits Bon Jovi with making that miracle happen.
I miss the 80s. Such a great variety of music, fashion, (HAIR - Shags, mushroom styles, big hair, etc), movies and so on! People weren't afraid to be themselves.

We women of the 80’s music all had a mad crush on Jon but he was taken! He has been married to his high school sweetheart for over 30 years! (Kind of makes you love him more!) ☺️. He is a huge philanthropist! His Soul Fountain provides affordable housing and has restaurants (JBJ Soul Kitchens) where anyone can eat for free! Livin On A Prayer is one of the top 10 songs of all time.
Every time I went to a Bon Jovi concert I was amazed with their energy. They sounded as good if not better than what I heard on the radio. Jon was always all over the stage and now that I’m older I’m amazed at how much stamina it had to take to do that over and over again night after night. Bon Jovi never disappointed the people there to see him in concert.

This one lit up the world at the time.....it’s a rock anthem.....like Don’t stop believing...Journey-- no I’m not comparing the talent level- the similarities when people hear these 2 songs....same thing it becomes a sing along! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️key change up at the end- that’s tough when doing a whole concert believe me- Jon knows how to breathe and carry air- no question.😎🤘

I love seeing what music does to literally everyone. It brings people from different backgrounds and cultures together and brings establishes a connection between us.
They released two albums before this, but "Slippery When Wet" was their huge breakout year. The harness thing, flying out over the crowd was so cool at the time - the only way they could think of at the time to get close to the fans in attendance. The following tour for "New Jersey", they expanded that idea and created a "catwalk" that hung from the rafters of each arena show and Jon and Richie walked all the way around it so they could give those of us out there in the "cheap seats" a better view (long before the jumbo high-def video screens everyone used these days for the same purpose). Love, love, love Bon Jovi and I enjoyed your reaction to this song. I read an article that he wrote this song for 2 of his high school friends. They were a couple and had got pregnant just before graduation; and the male gave up his college football scholarship. He changed the names but they were his inspiration for the song.
