They were just a group of friends who were having an amazing time. They truly did not care if they made it or not and they did. Modern music is missing the passion for music.
The lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi, has had roles on several tv series. He now runs a free restaurant for anyone who needs it. A handsome, cool guy underneath all that hair.
You Give Love A Bad Name and Wanted Dead Or Alive are their two largest hits I believe. This one can't be far behind. Great reaction man, keep up the hard work! 💪💪
Nah, living on a prayer is for sure their biggest hit ever, by far, you give love a bad name is a distant second, and wanted dead or alive is a close 3rd
"You give love a bad name", "Always", "Keep the faith", "It's my life", "Bad medicine", "In these arms", "Bed of roses" and so many more, are Bon Jovi's huge songs. "
This is one the best live performance songs I have ever seen. My wife loves these guys so we go when they tour. The crowd singing the chorus is something to behold.
80s rock and I’m so here for it. I loved Bon Jovi. 80s hair rocked as hard as the music. I couldn’t hit play fast enough, and your reaction did not disappoint.
Yo. Welcome to the 80's Big hair bands era. This was our whole anthem growing up for some of us! (Me-it was me !😁👋) Big hair. Wild clothes and rock and roll and a bunch of friends hanging out just living life!! Concerts. Beaches. Parks. Yards of friends. When ever where ever. Then we grew up. Had kids. Now our kids are having kids...but hearing Bon Jovi takes me right back to that time. THOSE WERE THE DAYS😎 Peace and love always until there is no more!😊❤
That vocal sound you like is made with a Talk Box. Works with the guitar player and can use his voice to talk thru the guitar. Or vice Versa. Was SUPER popular in the eighties
It was a concert in 85-86, I am 76 year old & I still play this song & dance along Jon Bon Jovi married his high school sweetheart & they're still married with 4 kids. There's a new documentary coming out soon if not already out. Jon has a restaurant in New Jersey where he's from that feeds folks whether you can pay or not. He's truly a nice guy.
Song came out in late 1986....Jon Bon Jovi is just a great dude..owns restuarants and feeds the homeless.....need more people like him. Check out You Give Love a Bad Name by them.
Bon Jovi was my first concert! Huge crush!🥰🥰 Awesome 80’s group and the man is still handsome and is still making music! 🎶🎵 He also has a beautiful heart, he and his wife do amazing work for charity, including a kitchen where people can work for their meals and many times he even works there himself! ❤❤ Glad you loved the song!!❤❤
I remember when this video premiered on MTV - it was highly anticipated because their first video for "You give love a bad name" was a huge hit. This played on MTV in a constant loop because people requested it so often. In the beginning Bon Jovi was criticized as being just another "hair band" of the 80's, but they've proved their longevity by creating hit song after hit song for decades to follow. Not only did they pump out hard rockin' tunes, but many well loved "power ballads" with Jon's iconic voice on such classics as Never say good-bye, I'll be there for you, Bed of roses, Always, & Thank you for loving me. My top favorite Bon Jovi song (as a band) is Wanted Dead or Alive. My 2nd favorite is Blaze of Glory - another great song, but that was done by Jon as a solo endeavor & featured on the soundtrack for the film "Young Guns - part 2"
The video was uploaded to UA-cam 14 years ago. The song is 37 years old. It was released in October of 1986. This video was filmed in September of 1986.
This was definitely the late 80s. I went to one of the concerts where he flew above us.. it was EPIC... and they sounded exactly like the record in concert..
This record came out in 86 or 87 I think. I remember I went to see them in 89 with their New Jersey tour. The concert started, Jon BonJovi started singing but he was not on stage,. We were looking around and someone pointed up and he was running on the catwalk in the rafters then was lowered on a platform. Pretty cool opening.
That "ooh wa ooh ooh" sound is a Talk Box device attached to Richie's guitar. Motley Crue guitarist used one on Kickstart My Heart. I believe Peter Frampton used it first. The flying - Jon was a Superman fan and even has a tattoo on one shoulder. I think he said this in an interview? It's been several years so I forgot. LOL
Insane you've never heard this. Its been on the radio, a ton of movies, not to mention the meme universe. Bon Jovi is huge around the world. You've probably heard some of their music and just don't know it.
Insane that you think people grew up with the same exact experiences you did. You do realize most households in black communities don't listen to rock music that much, right? Just like how you probably grew up with Rock and Country, black folk grew up with R&B, Hip-Hop and funk.
lol I wish it was 14 years ago because I saw this concert, actually I was 17 and it was 1986..the date is when it first came out on UA-cam.I LOVE Bon Jovi! They have so many great hits! And they were Awesome in concert!
Oh yeah, Bon Jovi has some more hits. Bed of Roses, Wanted Dead or Alive, I'll Be There for You, Bad Medicine, Always, You Give Love a Bad name, Runaway. That's just the one's I can think of off the top of my head. Living on a Prayer came out in the late 80's...87 or 88, I think. Still a good jam and a great reaction.
I can't believe you haven't heard this. They are pretty popular. I'm not huge on them but I do like some of them. They have a bit more that are pretty major. You Give Love a Bad Name, Wanted Dead or Alive, Bad Medicine, It's My Life, Always, Bed of Roses, I'll Be There For You are just some of them.
My older sister LOVED Bon Jovi back in the late 80’s…my skater friends and I hated all this glam rock stuff back then but now I’m like , this is cool! Lol
I am 44 and grew up on this music......... I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bon Jovi was the 2nd concert I ever attended and I was in high school... fire concert was Elton John :)
Bon Jovi used to be in my personal top 10. I'm not that much into their newer stuff, but I still like listening to their first 9 albums. I hope you'll check out more. They have some real classics that almost everybody knows.
More hits from Bon Jovi- You give love a bad name! Wanted Dead or Alive! I'll be there for you! & Who says you can't go home (duet) are my absolute favorites ! I subbed up, ready for it😊 Also would love to see you do more 80s rock reactions, groups like Metallica, Ozzy, Europe, Scorpions, Heart etc😍
Love the reaction! I know u said u just take request from ur Patreons but I'm hoping u could do this 1 request. It's a Bon Jovi hit called "It's My Life" it is really a great song to get anyone motivated to go out & live their life. I'm just not in a place to be able to joing ur Patreon or I would. So I hope you see this comment & grant my request. Thank you!
According to Wikipedia, Bon Jovi sold 130 million records. This song reminds me of living in a tent when I was in 4th grade. It was all over the radio. That was about 1985.
I am so happy that you decided to do a reaction to one of my favorite groups in the whole world. Bon Jovi is an American Band from New Jersey. They got together back in the early eighties, and their first album debuted in 1984. Now that you started reacting to them, best to fall in into the rabbit hole and do more videos of there's! Next you should react to their song called Wanted Dead Or Alive
It’s more than 14 years old! 😂😂😂🤦♀️ dam I’m old!😂😂😂 late 80’s when it 1st came out! Facts! I remember!😂😂😂😂 good video though! Yeah that “Ooooo Whhhhhooowww whhooww” was EVERYTHING WHEN IT CAME OUT!
Enjoying your reaction to rock! A great genre as well, these too are on the studios playlist! Venture into ACDC, Queen and Metallica! I can't believe you haven't heard this! King, you must broaden yihr horizons there is so much more than rap and hip hop👑
I actually seen these guys back way way back n the day. First time headlining with Cinderella warm up band. You give love a bad name is a great song & video. Slippery was the concert tour I was at. Wanted dead or alive, Jon wrote for the movie Young Guns & played a small role which also started his acting. Still does concerts as well.
This is the one that did it for me. It was #1 on DialMTV for monthssss. I've been a major fan since. In 2018, I was able to see them get inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Amazing. Also, that's not spritzer. IT'S AQUANET HAIRSPRAY! LMAO. Good times, good times. Now react to Lay Your Hands on Me and Bad Medicine.
One of the many songs that got me hella into classic rock, in my 20’s so mother had to get me into it. But it’s my main music now with how the older beats sound tbh, especially love that woah w-wwoah beat thing 🤣

Oh man. Probably one of my favorite albums EVER. You’re speaking to my teenage heart.
I was able to go to a Bon Jovi concert on that tour, back in third grade. I'm in my mid 40's now. That is still one of my favorite concerts.
Livin’ on a Prayer was out in 1986. One of many great Bon Jovi songs!!!

Bon Jovi have a lot of bangers🔥
That vocal sound you like is made with a Talk Box. Works with the guitar player and can use his voice to talk thru the guitar. Or vice Versa. Was SUPER popular in the eighties
Peter Frampton brought that talk box out and it was done 😂
When you paused the video @ 3:40 you can see the tubing going into the guitarist's mouth from the talk box.

They are so awesome. 80's music is the best in my opinion.
Richie Sambora, the guitar player is making that sound with a talk box, he uses foot control for the effects.
Memories. 😊😊
Bon Jovi was an amazing singer man. Hits every note. You need to listen to the only vocals track for this song. Straight singing, no auto tune nothing
Its a band
I cant believe someone have'nt heard this song, this song is very popular in the Philippines we Filipinos love so much Western rock band...
