- Gameplay of the first version of Minecraft Playstation 4 Edition in 2024. Recorded in a PS4 Slim with PS4's video clip tool in 720p and exported in 1080p. Minecraft Playstation 4 Edition was developed by 4J Studios with C++ and released by Mojang in September 5th 2014. This specific version is only playable (as far as I know) with the Minecraft Playstation 4 Edtion game disc. You can play this version by deleting the game (this won't delete your Minecraft save data), inserting the game disc, entering in the game right after the disc got copied to the hard drive and clicking in "Start Application without Updating".
I remember going to Walmart to disc in 2011 so nostalgic ❤

I downgraded my Minecraft. I have the “Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition” (not the “Minecraft” one) game disc and it has the first version of Minecraft available for PS4. If you have this version of the game in disc, you can delete your Minecraft and play it from the disc (start application without updating).
@@RodrigoTodescatto oh well its nice and its cool that you can access the older version i remember when i first got the legacy disk back in i dont even remember 2018? My game needed an update but i remember before i did it i could block with a sword had the old graphics less features ect imma do it one day so the bug gets fixed also i don't lose any progress right ?
The Minecraft esrb rating is actually 2147483646+ because of all the scary music discs and fantasy violence zombies skeles
Lol I remember accidentally discovering how to do this back in 2020. minecraft bedrock wasn’t loading so I deleted the whole thing and reinstalled it thinking it would load quicker. Then i decided to play offline because it would take 30 minutes for full download, and when I saw the title screen I was confused but then i realized ‘this is the oldest version for ps4!’

@@RodrigoTodescatto Interesting, I have had Minecraft since 2019 on PS4 and that tutorial world never appeared, wait does it also count if it is digital? Because I bought it from there but from the edition version
Unfortunately this doesn’t work with the digital version, only with the disc version and it needs to be the PlayStation 4 Edition.

How did you get version 1.0.0?
You need the Minecraft PlayStation 4 Edition game disc. You need to delete Minecraft from your PS4 (this won’t delete your worlds and settings) and then insert the disc and open the game. You will see that the game will be downloading an update so just choose to start app without updating, and after that you will be on Minecraft PlayStation 4 Edition 1.0.0.

I deleted the game from my PS4, then inserted the disc, started the game and chose to start application without updating
@RodrigoTodescatto and if I do that to play the older version again and after that if I updated the game back to latest will I lose all my new world?

@@DREKI277 No, because save games are separated from the game data.
@@ThisSlimeAlive In fact, you don't lose your save data when deleting a game with PlayStation Plus or not. I don’t have PlayStation Plus and my old worlds are still there.
