With the push mower, you showed inserting a mulching plug attachment. Do you need to change the blade to a mulching blade also, or just insert that plug and go? I would really appreciate your response and insight. Thank you.

ATG and many maintenance workers said this is the worst lawnmower that anyone can buy and use.
It is so bad that Lowes and many stores are not selling it.
I tent to agree with ATG reviews.

I bought the LC221RH, my 1st gas mower in over 20 years, when I was in the landscaping business. Fuel efficiency has been impressive so far, just on my 2nd gallon of gas, 1 gallon will last me about 2 months, I was expecting it to cost close to $30 per season, it’s going to be 1/2 that.
Recently I’ve used Battery Powered lawnmowers, they usually last me 3-4 years, that’s all I can get out of them. The problem is you can’t go very long inbetween mows, or it can be very difficult. Not the case with a gas mower. This one can handle the thick wet grass if needed, it’s cheaper than Battery mowers, no $200 battery replacements, $15 per year for gas, $5 for oil and you’re off and running. Always starts on the 1st pull, never stalls or bogs down either (can be very frustrating for Battery Powered owners).

I have the LC221a w/ B&S purchased from Lowe's a few years ago. I will say for the most part it has done well but the drive system has got to be the worst design I have ever seen. The mower is all open underneath so the grass gets packed everwhere, all around the belt, pulleys, etc.... the pulleys are cheap and do not hold up well, you'll get maybe 2 seasons if you're lucky and don't use the mower that much, I have a small yard that you can push mow in 20-30 min. I just ordered another set of pulleys and this will be the 2nd time for me but they are cheap enough less than $10 each and it has 3x of them.
The rest of the mower itself seems to have been built very well and I'm sure it will last a long time if I can keep repairing the drive system. I just noticed they stopped making this model so most likely it's only a matter of time before parts become unavailable.
