ohuhu actually does have an acrylic marker set! they have like 40 colors, with a more limited range in their double-sided tip series (like. 20 colors). i think it would be more useful to compare that set to poscas rather than comparing their alcohol markers- alcohol-based markers, ohuhu brand or otherwise, aren't really designed to go on any surface other than paper. doing acrylic paint markers vs. alcohol markers is kind of like doing acrylic paint vs. watercolor paint. they're just meant to be used differently.
I prefer ohuhu because I tried using it on a skethbook and since ohuhu is alchohol base markers,it worked perfectly than the posca❤So,lets see what's the best marker
I like Posca a lot because at our school for art, we normally use ohuhu markers all the time, but we rarely use posca marker. They each have their own use, but I like posca markers more because of how satisfying they are.
Hi Xavier, I wanted to start customizing shoes . I wanted to ask you how much does angelous paint color last for ? Like brightness and everything? Love your video keep up !!
dude thank you , u inspired me to get Posca sketches first i used ohuhu sketches but i didnt know it was alcholol so i selled the ohuhu sketches and got posca sketches thanks dude!
Xiavier it depends on your art style and posca markers are like fun vibey times and ohohu is like manga art shading maybe that's why but it depends on what genre art style your drawing typically I draw manga but I sketch it then outline with posca black color then I shade the colors in but never tried ohohu only in 5th grade.
Love ur videos! You are an amazing artist and I hope you never stop doing what you’re doing, because you’re an inspiration to a ton of aspiring shoe designers and artist
Hey! I have those ohuhu markers and my tie dye crocs were peeling so I used them to color the crocs and make them look new, or at least better. It looks p good but I was wondering if you had any tips on a sealant I could use that would work on that combo? Thanks!
Great comparison. I like the Posca marker results in every case, but I can see how alcohol markers would be good for situations where blending is needed.
It’s based of the experiences u did with the markers and they are completely different and act different on other surfaces, can’t decide, I also have both of them
Posca markers are used for basic drawings, because of the evenness of the pigment when you lay it down. They are also used mostly in thick paper and canvases. Ohuhu markers are used for more intricate drawings, like portraits or what the UA-camr Jazza does on his channel when he uses alcohol markers. 😅
hey xavier a little tip here for you with ohuhu you have to keep a straight line like you can't turn and turn its strokes its alcohol based unlike posca with thick paint it can cover the paint and is water based
Ok so for the sonic test on the Ohuhu side, It would make it look much better if you would go over the sketch with fineliners, then erase the pencil behind, then you can color it in. You could also draw a black line down the middle to really separate the two halves. I love the effort you put into this video though. :)
This is not how ohuhu markers are supposed to be used. Posca is a completely different thing (Arcrylic Markers). Ohuhu is good for blending Posca are good for using at glass, wood etc
I agree, all of the tests (except the drawing test) were suited to poscas. There should have been blending tests and realism tests, which the poscas will probably not pass. :) ;)
U cant really pick and this video wasn't really necessary because they are 2 different types of markers. Ohuhu is alcohol which was made for drawings and poscas is acrylic paint pen made for customs. Im not tryna say the vid isnt any good I just dont really see the point in this vid tho but the vid was still lit so good job
I get where you coming from and totally understand your point but I made this video from a standpoint of a person who never heard of alcohol markers and was going to get them hoping to customize everything . This helps out that newbie who isn’t aware of what one marker can do vs the other . I really respect your option tho . May god bless 🙏🏾
Posca it’s coming to my house and they’re actually waterproof so you can’t clean that with your hand😢 but you have to squeeze Posca to work OK, that’s how I do it
I’m not the best at alcohol markers myself and I don’t usually use them but I do the outline first and then trace it let it dry then you can colour and for the shading you could use some coloured pencils but it depends what you’re going to do like if I’m making a cool character I would recommend only using Ohuhu markers. And have fun❤
Nice drip designs, good to see what alcohol markers struggle with. I watched this twice! Alcohol tends to force you to dab at the surface you work with. Almost like painting and needing to control the strokes of the brush carefully. I'm in agreement, God has a lot to do with a lot of things. I'm working on a coloring book with pages that can handle marker with less bleed through. I know how I would feel ti see it out and on the market. Backing a Brother Artist, don't get to see many 🤗❤️👍🏽💯
Why posca is better 1since it is paint, they overlap and mix 2 they go beautifully with colour pencils and crayons 3 the activation is the most satistfying thing you can do in your life
Posca of course because it has the colour u like and stuff but it is acrylic right so that means it appears on black paper and doesn’t bleed on white paper so posca is the best
I just recently bought my posca markers, and they're bad considering it goes through the page and I got 100gsm sketchbook. It also goes everywhere, and ohuhu markers look very good, so yeah.
Personally i have poscas and i like to draw on canvas, so for me they are better rather than alchoclol markers bc poscas can be sat for long and not dry up, but ohuhu ( or alkahal) markers dry quicker
let me say this posca markers are good for things that are not paper but ohuhu is made for paper and i never used any of them but i have used alcohol markers they do take a bit more skill then posca alcohol markers are very good for blending and stuff posca is good for customizing
I prefer Posca markers because they are clearly more solid and don’t smear, but on the other hand, Ohuhu smears a lot and doesn’t turn out very solid on the outcome
I like posca cause when you shake it it’s just so satisfying. Nothing can beat that and how you can just push it down in the ink comes down that is just no nothing gonna be that not even even normal markers

How did this only have 1 like
Posca pen are acrylic paint pens not like regular alcohol based markers so of course it’s gonna stick better to plastic and leather
That’s true
I love both!!! U should make a drawing using both of the markers together next
I use ohuhu for paper artworks and I use poscas for customs like hoodies and even wood artworks for my school projects

I had to do that w my crocs to !!
