- There was an idea...maybe it was a stupid idea, but regardless. I completed it. And that makes me feel pretty good. haha I wanted to see what it'd look like to use all 320 markers in one illustration. I don't know which was more of a marathon, creating the art, or editing this video? I had planned to post this on Tuesday but it just was not possible. 22:28 is my favourite because it’s the part where you were just over half way at 170 colours and you could audibly tell that was the point at which you started getting delirious trying to fit all the violets and pinks in 😭😂 if in doubt, it’s a pine needle!

This makes me think of classic paintings that took years to create...like the artists were probably just making new colors and layering them like this! I love the effect.
The 320 pack is very cool because we have a wide range, but of course, you dont need a lot of colours to make good art! Ohuhu is one of those rare companies that give products which are worth way more than their actual price. And now they have 320 set? It’s insane
i went on a total tangent about that exact topic but had to cut it due to time. i completely agree. markers are so layerable you really don't need a huge variety to get amazing affects!

33:07 was the best moment in my opinion because it felt complete, the detail is immaculate and the water and its reflections look so good! I also think the pine tree looked best because it's dark, it looks fantastic.

I think she actually drew like... LITERALLY ALL pine needles that WOULD be on such a tree part.
That's the reason why I even like ohuhu markers cuz like you can blend them in and like imitate a photo or something

I love how it looks in the end! Soooo pretty with all the colours, and I agree it doesn't look like there is that many but it made everything POP!

That landscape looks so pretty with all the color variation. Especially the pineneedles with the red to ourple to green variation is so nice to look at.
i was trying not to ruin it, but honestly it made it even better! so happy with it!

I really like the finished version. Though, it’s sorta making me curious about whether you could imitate a really famous painting with all those markers. Like… Monet’s Water Lillies or something like that. I’d try it if I had the markers, but alas, I don’t. If someone does try it, or knows someone who did, I would be interested to see it.

I love the video, but moreover i love that you explain your thought process as you go! This is very helpful to new artists like me :D
The finished look is amazing. It turned out so beautifully, especially because you were trying to find a reason to use so many colors on one page, but I think the amount of layering added so much depth to the piece. I’m actually really impressed with the paper as well.

I just want to let you know that you’ve taught me so much. Specifically, for example, about swatching on the paper you are using. I taught my son so your knowledge is generational!
I think it came out great. Can’t believe that you were able to use them all. All the colors give you so much to look at.

I don’t know what’s more impressive, how good the final illustration looks, how you managed to use 320 markers(!), how much editing this must have taken, or the fact that you persevered and finished it when I would have put it aside and forgotten about it for three months and then been like “oh ya, I should try to finish that” and continue to move on to another project 😂 also the way you said “I drew a frog” really cracked me up 🐸 🤣 ♥️
That explains me perfectly lol. I forget about my drawings or paintings and they never get finished… I still find some from a few years ago from my freshman year and before then 😂😂👀

One thing I've learned watching this video is the importance of continuing past the first couple of layers and to continue adding detail, even when you're getting bored. Perseverance, as you said!

As someone who draws landscapes a lot this is amazing and perfect in every way, trust me Rin, this is a good way to go about landscapes. Mountains are always tricky and adding the pinks and purples was a good instinct.

Me: one of the things that I love about alcohol markers is that because of their ability to layer and blend really well you don't need a ton of different colors to get a lot of nice variation in your art
Also me: if they ever come out with this full set with the brush nibs I am buying that bad boy so fast your head will spin
They're already at 216 colours in the brush tips, so we just need to wait for the remaining 104 to be released.

I had bought myself the 24 set around over a year ago and decided I wanted more colors. Ohuhu on their website had a big sale and in the long run it was more worth it for me to buy the 320 set so I did. I ordered it yesterday so I'm waiting.

11:41 was my favorite time stamp I loved the beginning stage with the first 50 markers! Awesome job. The frogs were cute as well.
25:13, with 211 markers, was my fav.! It was enough markers to have all that wonderful texture and depth but not too much, not too dark. Lol. Though I liked a lot of the different stages! I do really like 11:41, too, heehee
