This segment of the movie never made any sense to me. The US government kidnaps a cartel boss's daughter to start a cartel war, but they smuggle her into the US and stage a hostage rescue so they can return her to some place in Mexico for questionable reasons, but not covertly this time. Why would they return her at all? Why use ground vehicles, not a plane or helo? Why not just hand her over to the Mexican police at the border? It kinda seems like they were struggling to come up with a reason to make the ambush scene happen in the movie.
the same reason the humvees are the size of fighter jets in some scenes, the girl launches forward when hit from behind by a truck, and the dude tries to use thermals to see through glass - everything screams "rushed and cheap" from the writing to the VFX
I think the most likely scenario would have been just to notify the mexican embassy in USA that american law enforcement rescued a mexican national, so the mexican government would be the one in charge of the repatriation.
Brolin was already giving the order to take her, while Benicio hinted that it was better for them to take the suspicious federalous away, and he would take the girl out himself. So the character of Toro and Jorsh turned out to be stupid here, not drone operator.

Greater recoil, you can carry less ammo. Only in the hands of a very crazy uncle does this weapon shine, as far as I remember it was positioned specifically for the Americans.
Vehicles are commonly referred to as ''Coffins'', the first thing you learn is to get out of the vehicle. It may be up-armored, although repeated fire will wear it down rather quickly.
For tier 1 operators they should have known that thermals can't see through glass. Also they are in an unarmored hmmwv, those rounds would have gone through the windshield like a hot knife through butter.
I need to re-watch this movie. I have no clue WHY the Mexican federal attacked them. Are they working for a rival cartel and they figured out Reyes’ daughter was in their care?
This is a complete mess divided into parts - everyone sits in their cars when they are fired upon and do not try to protect themselves from the bullets... The column of Hamers is fired upon from the right side, not a single car tries to leave the column, to make an evasive maneuver, everyone stands and waits, I don't understand why. As the repulse of the attack begins, BRLA finally remembers that it has weapons and fires. Now the sexians in unarmored Fords sit calmly with their backs to the line of fire and wait for them all to be killed. "This is exactly how people behave under fire - 100%!"

Supposedly the third one is in the works, "Sicario: Capos" according to the wiki page for this one.
The author is busy writing series for pensioners. Villeneuve will not return, so it is better not to release the third part at all. All story arcs are closed, except for that girl, it will turn out to be another nonsense for whiny princesses (with all due respect to Fiona from Shrek and Jasmine from Aladdin).
Yeah let me cover my ears from the gun fire and then leave to hear more gun fire lol
Weird coming from a video titled SHOOTOUT
@@Scorch428 aha, but I think he's talking about the detente at the end, when the feds ask for help, and then everyone starts shooting at the same time almost point-blank.
Aside from all the flaws. This is a great movie if you are 8 years old.
All that is necessary to make a movie that the audience would like !
the same reason the humvees are the size of fighter jets in some scenes, the girl launches forward when hit from behind by a truck, and the dude tries to use thermals to see through glass - everything screams "rushed and cheap" from the writing to the VFX
I think the most likely scenario would have been just to notify the mexican embassy in USA that american law enforcement rescued a mexican national, so the mexican government would be the one in charge of the repatriation.
The music is the real star in this movie
you cant hide in the desert from a drone.
Brolin was already giving the order to take her, while Benicio hinted that it was better for them to take the suspicious federalous away, and he would take the girl out himself.
So the character of Toro and Jorsh turned out to be stupid here, not drone operator.
10 miles in each direction but didn't see the black Silverado parked
When is Sicario 3 being released? Anyone?
Maybe they could just complete the trilogy finally with the 3rd movie
lol is this before closed borders . Can you imagine what is going on right now?
1:30 she understood that kidnap might be a roose
R u s e, Einstein.

If you like shots of cars driving on the road, this movie is for YOU
Lmao wow that firefight took incredibly long
Thanks. Pablo. Pirates
Irritating ads: negative brand and product recognition takes but a moment and lasts forever. If the ads are so 'popular' and 'interesting' put them at the end of the video, you may not get as much NEGATIVE product recognition. Everyone pass this
This scene has always bothered me: why would only ONE Mexican Federale fire? It makes no tactical sense - in an ambush, you want to lay down all your fire at the same time, no?
It was a mistake. The police were waiting for reinforcements and had to bide their time. Moreover, it is no longer clear whether they were corrupt or whether the attackers should have killed them too.
I only saw the first one. After watching this scene I can already tell the second failed to capture the magic of the first. looks like your generic action movie.
“¡Esta película es mágica! La lucha contra las drogas en la frontera entre Estados Unidos y México se intensificó cuando los cárteles comenzaron a transportar terroristas a través de la frontera estadounidense. Para luchar, el agente federal Matt Graver se reúne con el transformado Alejandro”.
In the desert, you can remember your name.
Super film 👍
Everyone... it's a film... none of it's real 🤦♂
we know. back to your basement.
Based on reality.
Based on the 2017 incident.
Did you not see the dead Mexican police on Fox News? ;)
Couldn’t they have contacted the drone to see where the girl was?

How did they get ambushed when the drone has clear visibility for miles. I get they would probably he hiding or camouflaged but don't thise things have thermal?
My best guess would be camo netting, thermals can't spot heat signatures through solid objects or thick brush.
I dunno, maybe the guy holding the RPG was inside a car? Perhaps a Mexican federal police car?
The UMP is the most underrated badass weapon ever.
in Alejandros hand for sure. the way he exited the ambushed vehicle, used the armored door for cover, fired aimed shots through the door gap, legendary
That's going to anger some people
Greater recoil, you can carry less ammo. Only in the hands of a very crazy uncle does this weapon shine, as far as I remember it was positioned specifically for the Americans.
the girl is pretty dumb, like ya i get she scared, but she litery jumped out of the safest place, even i know you just stay where you are cuz its safe
Vehicles are commonly referred to as ''Coffins'', the first thing you learn is to get out of the vehicle. It may be up-armored, although repeated fire will wear it down rather quickly.
девочка очень хорошо сыграла, эмоции натуральные настолько что кажется что она действительно бывала под обстрелом
For tier 1 operators they should have known that thermals can't see through glass. Also they are in an unarmored hmmwv, those rounds would have gone through the windshield like a hot knife through butter.
Really though... She couldn't have gotten far...
WHo are the bad and good ones?
I need to re-watch this movie. I have no clue WHY the Mexican federal attacked them. Are they working for a rival cartel and they figured out Reyes’ daughter was in their care?
Thermal can’t see through glass. Movie mistake having him try to look out the windshield.
-'Blue skies'...? I see clouds :)
Dirt roads make him nervous? He must be from the south 😂
Or the Rocky Mountain west/ South West... lived in that region most of my life. Dry dirt roads always made me nervous. Now I live in sub tropical south, dirt roads out here don't kick up nearly the dust as to what I grew up with.
It’s easier to implant IEDs in dirt roads. And they fuck with visibility. That’s why it makes him nervous.
The girl crying and freaking out ruined this amazing scene....
