I'll agree with other commenters there are some problems with the Tahoe/Ranger accident scene. The crash's physics just don't match the portrayal in the interior clip. When they hit, her head should have been slung backward, and then shortly after rebound, back forward. CGI sort of ruins that for the scene. Also, given the force of the impact indicated in the scene, the ranger would have been literally destroyed in the front end, not just crumpled. But..... my wife says I over-analyze every movie for errors or bloopers. I catch them all the time, and it drives her crazy.
You do over-analyze. It's all a fiction...try to enjoy the entertainment these actors, and directors, provide. I used to do the same...and then realized I was not enjoying, or being entertained, even by some of the greatest movies in the world. I don't watch movies as a 'fact finding' or 'learning' platform; movies are fiction and are made purely for our entertainment. Having said that, your analysis are right on! :)

I like how NASCC looks nothing like this. All it is is a joint Army Reserve base and Navy training facility for multi-engine flight students before they go to the fleet. Customs and Border Protection are there, too, but they just have some old surveillance aircraft on a small corner of the base. Probably would have made more sense for them to be based out of one of the AFBs near San Antonio like Randolph or maybe Lackland.
