The idea to use the REAL sound that the guns produced in the area was what really made this scene epic. The echoing because of the buildings made everything way more effective than any artificial gunfire that was planned to be used. A decision made while editing when it was realized that nothing sounded as good as the original gunfire.
The actors were trained by former British SAS soldiers for this movie. The fire and manoeuvre drills are textbook and perfectly executed. When I was training to become an infantry soldier they showed this clip to demonstrate the use of cover, no movement without covering fire, the leapfrogging movement to advance towards the objective. Its still today the best I've ever seen in a movie.
I was Field Artillery officer, fire suppourt FIST , and we trained with LI with covering element, overwatch element, advancing element. Retrograde under fire. Basic light infantry patrolling. I am no criminal. But a bank heist does have elements of raid patrol. You have movement to objective, actions at objective, movement from objective. However the from objective had a FLOT or extraction point, or some location that would be defendable. There is nothing in a bank heist / armed robbery like that. Their extraction, the car was taken out. They had to get another one. Thats a stolen vehicle, and identifiable. There is no friendly fire suppourt. No safe friendly area to go to. No ground to go to. All they could do is disperse and E&E. The mission was to get cash. What happened to that?
@@PlatinumHustle watching this today, and seeing how CA people are just looting stores is almost familiar. And if they carry high power rifles the cops would not bother going after the criminals today in LA.
I once saw an interview about this movie that during this shootout, the gunfire sounded so real and loud a veteran who saw it in theaters said he almost had to leave as it sounded exactly like combat he had seen overseas. There are few films with sound design this good. Still stands up almost 30 years later.
@@letsgobrandon1719 Plenty of movies use blanks, Blanks still sound a bit squibby, as there's no supersonic crack from the riflebullets passing through the air. It takes some skill to make it sound as loud and realistic as it does in this movie.
It's not widely known, unless you listen to the movie commentary, but Michael Mann originally intended to redub the sound in post. The post production sound didn't work so he chose to use the sound recorded on the day of shooting with the blanks. The reverb off the buildings is real and from the day of shooting.
When Deniro started firing the first time through the windshield the driver genuinely made that loud gasp. It wasn't in the script. The sound of blanks being fired inside the vehicle was obviously very loud. Great movie.
SAS solider Andy McNab who did is OWN shoot out in Iraq in an urban area was the technical assistant on this scene, credit to the direct in listening to experts rather than trying to do some Hollywood slow mo shoot out, this scene is so powerful as its grounded in realism.
Yes, very realistic. Cops and robbers exchanging hundreds and hundreds of rounds from automatic rifles on a city street for ten minutes while civilians by the dozen shriek, duck, and run around. Untold cops are killed but the bad guys get away. Happens every day. Not.
As a shootout yes. However police was able to do roadblock in 3minutes, but after this no other backup came. After 5minutes area would be swarming with cops with possible SWAT on the way
exactly, scene is unrealistic in terms of how badly the police aim and the fact there isn't swat armored trucks, helicopters and sharp shooters.@@r4d2iu
The black car would have been shredded in the first minute as they were driving asway, cars offer cover from view not hard cover, the bank robbers would have been shredded considering there was pistols shot guns and AR rounds being loosed into the car.
The sound in the theater of the rifles the bad guys were firing was absolutely terrifying real. The car bullet impacts were like you were in the car as it was getting hit. The sound engineer on this movie deserved an Academy Award. The whole shoot out was one of the most realistically violent and believable ever made. Just amazing work shown here.

Other than the fact the police wouldnt have engaged bank robbers in a busy street. They would have tailed them to a more suitable spot. Also, all those cops had the best response time I have ever seen. Besides that, I still love this movie. Pacino and Deniros coffee scene was epic
2024 and this movie still been one of the best action movies. The shoot out scene was unreal…the time were no computer scene or green painel were used…just good actors and excellent ballistic effects.
I heard it’s also been used by military forces both as a way to show how to properly leapfrog ( one guy fires while the other moves) and how to properly reload under fire relatively fast at 7:25
As someone who lived through the Siege of Sarajevo, I'm very familiar what real street gun fighting is, and what it sounds like. And no other film gets as close in depicting that sound as well as this film. The sound guy nailed it. This is one of the best action films ever made.

There is really no "sound guy", as the audio is proposed as-is, without any edit. One of the few movies to have done that. Mann tried many variations but he ultimately decided for the real sound.
Authenticity? Great flick, but I just can't see the shootout happening. The cops would have been patient and followed the car to an area with less chance of civilian casualties.
Was Heat’s picture quality actually this good in 1995? Movies from even the early 2000s had that ugly grunge look, but this looks like a movie made last year.

I like how Robert de Niro's character addresses the bank employees and patrons like he's reading a prepared script: coldly and matter-of-factly but sincere. I also like how the side characters are realistically in enough shock that the robbers have to repeat commands, and the robbers, being professionals anticipate having to do so. In comparison with the botched job in the beginning, all the violence they use is a means to an end--to incapacitate someone, or intimidate the crowd at large. Everything about this movie occurs on the level of habit and behavior, and it's phenomenal to see it executed so flawlessly.
Ironically, look up the North Hollywood shootout - it was a real bank heist that happened years after this scene. I originally thought that Heat was based on the north Hollywood shootout, but instead it looks like the real robbers almost looked to this scene for inspiration. Insane.
@@innertubez The North Hollywood shootout in fact happened less than two years after this movie came out. One of the robbers was inspired by this movie.

...based on real-life! That's what happened between a real-life detective and the career criminal he was tracking. Just like "Heat", the detective ended up killing the criminal after a job.
2 things: 1) I was working at the ARCO towers bulding on 6th and Flower...and watched them do the filming from several floors up. It was incredible. 2) This is a note from IMDB on the film, and my cousin, who's a 20 year AMrine, confirmed it: "In June of 2002, the scene involving the shoot-out after the bank robbery was shown to United States Marine recruits at MCRD San Diego as an example of the proper way to retreat while under fire." And , " Val Kilmer was thrilled to learn that the moment in the gun battle scene where he runs out of bullets, and rapidly changes his magazine, is regularly shown to Marine recruits as an example of how to perform the action properly."
Read a comment somewhere on line recently about this, allegedly by an active or retired Marine. Said they used the scene and Val's mag change as the low bar example, so recruits knew what to meet and then exceed. I don't know if that's true or not though.

Better to have witnessed this scene being shot for this movie than to have been in North Hollywood years later witnessing when it happened for real. That's for sure.
I know it's a controversial opinion, but to me the best actor in the movie is Val Kilmer. It's a very non-flashy role, and he does it mostly with his eyes and facial nuances. It's magnetic. After about 27 years I still remember what it felt like in the theatre when this scene came on. It's weird to think now, but I didn't expect there to be a shoot-out. I thought there would be a car chase. None of us had ever seen such a loud, realistic, long and detailed shoot-out. It just kept going. I don't think I blinked once, it was so incredible. Sound design alone was next level. World-class film-making.
@EnoVarma.....Yes, this IS really good - but just watch the 'Go' bank robbery scene from the original 1968 version of the Thomas Crown Affair. Now that IS a masterclass in film-making.
There have been many amazing shootout scenes in cinema history but this one will always rank amongst the top for me. You can feel the intensity of the gunfires and bullets flying around. Both cinematography and sound engineering were out of this world.
@@BigAL0074 which one is better, they used mics around the city and picked up the real gun shot sounds firing blanks. all other movies just use stock gun sounds
It's already been said countless times in the comments, but the sound design really is what makes this scene iconic. If you replaced the real world echo effect with standard sound design/mixing, it would become a standard movie shootout that we've all seen before. Keeping the echos captured on set really makes you absorb the scale of the moment as it's happening.
it's not an effect actually lol, they shot blanks and recorded actual sound during shooting the scene, that's why it's so realistic. The sounds of bullets reflecting from high rise buildings full of windows.

What a scene. The echo from the bullets being fired, sounds unbelievable, almost feels like you’re right there with them. Brilliant scene. Brilliant film. Never get bored of watching it.
With all those civilians in the line of fire this seems very decidedly UNREALISTIC, pretty sure in a situation like this the cops would not be opening fire wildly with civilians just a few feet away from the robbers but would instead simply pursue them until they were in a less collateral-prone area.
I was just a few blocks east of the infamous North Hollywood Bank shootout and the one thing this scene got PERFECT is the sound. Sounded just like the real thing....that echo-reverb sound, so loud....and when there are lots of them, the echo is so loud it almost overwhelms the actual shots. And the sound of bullets hitting metal....crazy real.
thats because they decided to use the real sounds the mics picked up when they actually shot the blanks instead of using stock gun shot sounds being overlayed in editing.
Heat is one of the few best crime or “ cops and robbers “ movies ever made. Almost every thing in it was done superbly:casting, acting, direction, production, photography etc etc . It is a masterpiece and a classic.
The best Bank robbery that has ever made in a movie. This scene is almost legendary after 28 years that is so incredible. Thanl you Al Pacino and Robert De Niro for making this masterpiece ❤️💪👊
Jaw-dropping, chilling, perfectly done shootout scene. In addition to what everyone else has said about how realistic it is based on training and so on, I am amazed at the scale of the set. Seeing suspects and cops running dozens of yards away, all coordinated to give the feeling of a real downtown bank heist and shootout in action, is absolutely incredible. There should be an Academy Award that goes backwards to honor films that did not get awards in their first year. Maybe call it Historical Excellence Award for [blank]
Actually, that is not a set. It is downtown LA, and the roadblock instructions the detective gives while in the car would work for that building (it is at 444 So. Flower St.) It doesn't have a bank, but does have a Jamba Juice. I hear that once a month, they get a huge shipment of mangos, and security is pretty light....
Al Pacino and Robert de Niros perfomances were out of this world. This shoutout is legendary and more realistic than action movies of the recent time. HEAT is an perfect example for the word "MASTERPIECE" 💪❤️👏🤙
Usually you can't have a scene like this in a movie be longer than 3 minutes or so because then the action becomes numbing, the fact that a 10 minute shootout can be engaging speaks to how well it is done.
This scene is so shocking, the sounds of the guns give you a real feel of the power of these weapons. One thing that got me when I watched the movie is that they put time into the development of the driver as a character. And then he gets killed in an instant, the other characters barely even notice. It shows you that in a shootout like this you can lose your life in an instant, and he made that choice to be a part of it.
@@blakejohnson2206 To be fair, you cant spare a second in the middle of a shootout however much you love someone or care for someone as you'd probably end up being shot yourself then. Not saying that I know if they like him or not, I assume they do from the interactions they had but yeah.
The reason I love this scene so much is that it shows the real world tactics and logistics of a shootout. At every stage it feels like either side could get the upper hand. I think that's why you are so engaged the entire time. It feels totally real. Not to mention the sound design. Incredible.
Such an awesome scene. The ticking in background when they're robbing bank, the bit of music when Pacino and his crew are moving into place to the shootout...awesome. NO ACTUAL MUSIC in the actual gun battle makes all that much better, unlike today's action scenes where there's too much music in the background...
This has to be one of the best shootouts ever in any film. The realness the movement the gunfire.. have to major props to whoever choreographed this scene and helped with the training. They did an A1 job
At 8:01, DeNiro is screaming at the top of his lungs, and it sounds like a faint whisper compared to the thunder of the guns. That's the moment that really sold the sound design of this scene.
6:50 - 6:55 is such a brief yet important and brilliantly directed touch from Michael Mann--just to demonstrate the very real devastation their weapons can have on metal vehicles, let alone people. This is a fantastic movie on so many levels.
There have been scenes in other films that approach this perfection, but none has succeeded in rivalling or surpassing it. Once DeNiro enters & takes control of that bank, Heat soars to an insane level. Mann has set everything that comes before this sequence for this. It's legacy.
@@Marvin-dg8vj Yes, true. I haven’t see them reloading while this intense shootout. The criminal at 6:43 min. should have run out of ammunition in this single magazine but he still auto fires without reloading. :^D Edit: min. 7:29 in this video: He finally reloads! ^^
@@KoljaGamer While it is true that we do not see nearly as many reloads as there should be, this shootout scene is still one of the most immersive the cinema has to offer. The fact that the cops fire more selectively because they know that every shot they miss is a potential civilian casualty and that we also see actual leapfrogging instead of just running and gunning is a huge improvement over most shootout seen in the movies. Robert de Niro also reloads at 7:09 and seeing how in a lot of action movies we do not see a single reload then that is already worth a mention :)
Great scene from a great film. Realistically speaking the amount of legal paperwork that the cops were gonna have to file after this would have been an absolute nightmare.
I was in downtown LA about two blocks away when this was filmed but we did not know they were filming. The guns sound is EXACTLY what we heard, so they did not dub the sound in later. We thought a terrorist attack was underway. Freaked us out!
My cousin told me 15 years ago this is one of the best sounding gunfights he has ever heard in a movie. I see why he has always said that watching 100s of movies with gunfights in the last 15 years. This is still one of the best sounding to this day.
@@Davoodoox1 its not for safety, its for simplicity and consistency. recording the sound of gunfire is extremely difficult so most productions don't bother and just use existing sound effects. That isn't Michael Mann's style though and he recorded the sounds of the blanks on set so you get the real echoes and the real sound. Whoever did the audio engineering is a wizard to get the sounds recorded so cleanly. It would be super easy to have peaking audio or muffled audio, mic placement and gain settings would be absolutely crucial in recording such clean audio. Any movie could do it, but most directors won't put in that time or effort. It really pays off IMO.
Few months back where I am they just showed the film in the cinema again, the sound in this scene was so realistic that I was actually looking around the cinema because it sounded like the shooting was in the actual room.
This is the best shootout scene I have ever watched. No unnecessary music, scripts or actions. The flow is clear. The sound effect is excellent that I feel like I am right there in the midst of the shootings. The actors are so cool. Never get bored of this movie.
The look on Chris's face when he's rotating to provide cover and the sounds of that rifle are just perfection! You can see how they were taught by former SAS soldiers! This is how a shootout is done!.
Out of the many accurate things they got down right, my favorite is the loudness of gunfire. Many movies, if not all of them, downplay how freaking loud a firefight is. Its loud, its fast, its messy, theres yelling, theres movement, theres chaos. You don't realize how load it is until it dies down and silence takes over. Kinda like at the end of this clip.
Normal people who never heard the sound of AK 47 or other similar weapons cannot even comprehend the loud force it generates. Yes, when played loud, this scene is probably the most accurate depiction of the noise level these weapons can make. Loved it the first time I saw it, love it still. I can't say if it's the best movie I've seen but in this genre, it most definitely takes the top notch.
JohnWick is pretty wicked, but this is by far the best movie shoot out ever. The whole picture is a piece of art. Three hours packed with great scenes. Not a second of boring gap fill.
With all Star casts. Charlize theron, jon voight, mykelti williamson, natalie portman, hank azaria, and even jeremy piven, maybe some more I missed. Mann can attract all Star casts in his movies
John Wick isn’t even close to this movie. There a good shoot out in ‘The Town’ but that isn’t on the same level as ‘Heat’ either. Heat set the bar, and it’s still the bar.
Everyone rightly talks about the shootout and great execution of the actors based on McNabs training. People neglect how bloody tense the build up is, I remember watching this the first time and the score and tempo had my heart rate through the roof.
This scene just lets the gunfire and visuals speak for themselves. Minimal enchancement and no music needed, the brutality on display is what you are meant to feel, not some musical score. I really wish more directors would use this kind of technique.

And announce the pilgrimage to humanity. They will come to you on foot, and on every transport. They will come from every distant point. 28. That they may witness the benefits for themselves, and celebrate the name of Allah during the appointed days, for providing them with the animal livestock. So eat from it, and feed the unfortunate poor. 29. Then let them perform their acts of cleansing, and fulfill their vows, and circle around the Ancient House. 30. All that. Whoever venerates the sanctities of Allah-it is good for him with his Lord. All livestock are permitted to you, except what is recited to you. So stay away from the abomination of idols, and stay away from perjury. 31. Being true to Allah, without associating anything with Him. I've watched this movie at least once a year for the past 15 or so years. My heart races every time I watch this scene. The detail in the sound and images especially the cartridges flying out is wild!

The idea to use the REAL sound that the guns produced in the area was what really made this scene epic. The echoing because of the buildings made everything way more effective than any artificial gunfire that was planned to be used. A decision made while editing when it was realized that nothing sounded as good as the original gunfire.
same idea was used on The Gumball Rally, they use the actual sound of the cars while rolling and filming, that made the movie legendary
Awesome decision to use these sounds. Almost makes up for the infinite magazine size.

Facts. It was so good. One of my all time favorite scenes in cinema

@@letsgobrandon1719 Plenty of movies use blanks, Blanks still sound a bit squibby, as there's no supersonic crack from the riflebullets passing through the air.
It takes some skill to make it sound as loud and realistic as it does in this movie.

they went all in with the correct sound
It's not widely known, unless you listen to the movie commentary, but Michael Mann originally intended to redub the sound in post. The post production sound didn't work so he chose to use the sound recorded on the day of shooting with the blanks. The reverb off the buildings is real and from the day of shooting.
When Deniro started firing the first time through the windshield the driver genuinely made that loud gasp. It wasn't in the script. The sound of blanks being fired inside the vehicle was obviously very loud. Great movie.
Yeah dude 100% realistic sound. Overwhelms the ears and the microphones
Takes a good ear to hear one!!
This could quite possible be the most realistic shootout in a movie I’ve seen, so loud, so violent and quick. It’s just an adrenaline rush

And , " Val Kilmer was thrilled to learn that the moment in the gun battle scene where he runs out of bullets, and rapidly changes his magazine, is regularly shown to Marine recruits as an example of how to perform the action properly."
Read a comment somewhere on line recently about this, allegedly by an active or retired Marine. Said they used the scene and Val's mag change as the low bar example, so recruits knew what to meet and then exceed. I don't know if that's true or not though.

It's been almost 30 years since this movie came out and there still has not been a movie shootout better than this. This movie set the bar so high for every other movie.
I am from El Salvador and grew up there during the civil war. The sound of machine gun fire in this movie gave me chills as it reminded me of what we used to hear when the soldiers and guerrillas battled each other in the streets of San Salvador.

RABD- Well stated, and agree. The echos really make the fire fight look and feel like being in the killing fields.
The echo is because gun fight is in an urban environment with tall buildings and wide streets. To me that is what made this such a realistic scene.
I agree, I don't know guns at all but the f*cking loads bangs sound perfect

While watching this scene the other day I was completely mesmerized by the gunshots. The sound, and the way it echoes made this scene so intense.

The reason I love this scene so much is that it shows the real world tactics and logistics of a shootout. At every stage it feels like either side could get the upper hand. I think that's why you are so engaged the entire time. It feels totally real. Not to mention the sound design. Incredible.

Robert de Niro also reloads at 7:09 and seeing how in a lot of action movies we do not see a single reload then that is already worth a mention :)

thats because its real sound generated from firing blanks, most movies dub over gun sounds for safety.
I prefer my gun battles be pew pew and use cat sneeze suppressed weapons. :)
For safety????? Only in america i guess ...

One of the greatest shooting scenes ever made.
Michael Mann was ahead at his time.
JohnWick is pretty wicked, but this is by far the best movie shoot out ever. The whole picture is a piece of art. Three hours packed with great scenes. Not a second of boring gap fill.
John Wick is more a comedy. Not realistic.
Lol, John wick is kung-fu theater with guns.......
@@lucky889s9 Ashley Judd, not Charlize Theron lol
I love this entire scene, the background music is something else really.
Just love how Val Kilmer starts to shoot with zero hesitation. Like zero.
Everyone rightly talks about the shootout and great execution of the actors based on McNabs training. People neglect how bloody tense the build up is, I remember watching this the first time and the score and tempo had my heart rate through the roof.
This scene still holds up even nearly 30 years later.
of course, movies fuckin suck now
Ladies and Gentleman: the BEST shootout in the history of cinema.
Because of this movie things changed on how to deal with similar situations on this country
This scene just lets the gunfire and visuals speak for themselves. Minimal enchancement and no music needed, the brutality on display is what you are meant to feel, not some musical score.
I really wish more directors would use this kind of technique.
Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal.
59. The likeness of Jesus in Allah’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was.
7. He who perfected everything He created, and originated the creation of man from clay.
8. Then made his reproduction from an extract of an insignificant fluid.
9. Then He proportioned him, and breathed into him of His Spirit. Then He gave you the hearing, and the eyesight, and the brains-but rarely do you give thanks.
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. O people, be conscious of your Lord. The quaking of the Hour is a tremendous thing.
2. On the Day when you will see it: every nursing mother will discard her infant, and every pregnant woman will abort her load, and you will see the people drunk, even though they are not drunk-but the punishment of Allah is severe.
3. Among the people is he who argues about Allah without knowledge, and follows every defiant devil.
4. It was decreed for him, that whoever follows him-he will misguide him, and lead him to the torment of the Blaze.
5. O people! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection-We created you from dust, then from a small drop, then from a clinging clot, then from a lump of flesh, partly developed and partly undeveloped. In order to clarify things for you. And We settle in the wombs whatever We will for a designated term, and then We bring you out as infants, until you reach your full strength. And some of you will pass away, and some of you will be returned to the vilest age, so that he may not know, after having known. And you see the earth still; but when We send down water on it, it vibrates, and swells, and grows all kinds of lovely pairs.
6. That is because Allah is the truth, and because He gives life to the dead, and because He is Capable of everything.
7. And because the Hour is coming-there is no doubt about it-and because Allah will resurrect those in the graves.
8. And among the people is he who argues about Allah without knowledge, or guidance, or an enlightening scripture.
9. Turning aside in contempt, to lead away from the path of Allah. He will have humiliation in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection We will make him taste the agony of burning.
10. That is for what your hands have advanced, and because Allah is not unjust to the servants.
11. And among the people is he who worships Allah on edge. When something good comes his way, he is content with it. But when an ordeal strikes him, he makes a turnaround. He loses this world and the next. That is the obvious loss.
12. He invokes, instead of Allah, what can neither harm him nor benefit him. That is the far straying.
13. He invokes one whose harm is closer than his benefit. What a miserable master. What a miserable companion.
14. Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds into Gardens beneath which rivers flow. Allah does whatever He wills.
15. Whoever thinks that Allah will not help him in this life and in the Hereafter-let him turn to heaven, then sever, and see if his cunning eliminates what enrages him.
16. Thus We revealed it as clarifying signs, and Allah guides whomever He wills.
17. Those who believe, and those who are Jewish, and the Sabeans, and the Christians, and the Zoroastrians, and the Polytheists-Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Allah is witness to all things.
18. Do you not realize that to Allah prostrates everyone in the heavens and everyone on earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the animals, and many of the people? But many are justly deserving of punishment. Whomever Allah shames, there is none to honor him. Allah does whatever He wills.
19. Here are two adversaries feuding regarding their Lord. As for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be tailored for them, and scalding water will be poured over their heads.
20. Melting their insides and their skins.
21. And they will have maces of iron.
22. Whenever they try to escape the gloom, they will be driven back to it: “Taste the suffering of burning.”
23. But Allah will admit those who believe and do good deeds into Gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be decorated therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be of silk.
24. They were guided to purity of speech. They were guided to the path of the Most Praised.
25. As for those who disbelieve and repel from Allah’s path and from the Sacred Mosque-which We have designated for all mankind equally, whether residing therein or passing through-and whoever seeks to commit sacrilege therein-We will make him taste of a painful punishment.
26. We showed Abraham the location of the House: “Do not associate anything with Me; and purify My House for those who circle around, and those who stand to pray, and those who kneel and prostrate.”
Whoever associates anything with Allah-it is as though he has fallen from the sky, and is snatched by the birds, or is swept away by the wind to a distant abyss.
32. So it is. Whoever venerates the sacraments of Allah-it is from the piety of the hearts.
33. In them are benefits for you until a certain time. Then their place is by the Ancient House.
34. We have appointed a rite for every nation, that they may commemorate Allah’s name over the livestock He has provided for them. Your God is One God, so to Him submit, and announce good news to the humble.
35. Those whose hearts tremble when Allah is mentioned, and those who endure what has befallen them, and those who perform the prayer and spend from what We have provided for them.

10 and a half minutes long and I'd swear it was 2:30. I'll never forget the first time I saw this seen. I had the same stress response in my stomach and chest as I did 3 years later when the front steel ramp dropped on the Higgins Boat landing in Saving Private Ryan.

I've watched this movie at least once a year for the past 15 or so years. My heart races every time I watch this scene. The detail in the sound and images especially the cartridges flying out is wild!
I had the chance to see this movie in the theater.
Finally someone noticed how awesome this scene is, especially the sound. My all time favorite shooting scene so far.
i had noticed that more than 20 years ago
