Watching this from a year and a half ago makes me realize how much you have improved in every way. I couldn't understand a word anyone said in this one, and your current ones I understand 90%. Also the filming and editing are much improved now. You deserve every subscriber and it won't be long and you'll have 100K.
Thanks Anita, there is some difference in my first vlogs to now and I really try and make a conscious effort to speak clearly for all to understand
What a fun haircut!
I tuned in for sheep shearing and was becoming a little disappointed at the lack of shearing, but I'm glad I stuck it out. Watching you get sheared was good for a few chuckles!

Your appearance on Landward was excellent, showing true farming life, and the banter before and after your TV appearance was excellent. Possibly subtitles required for non Ayrshire folks . Hope the weather is not holding your shearing up ,

You should give a demo on some Leicester Longwool sheep. They carry 14-16” by Fall and are a bit heavy in lano
Would have to do quite a bit of searching to find some around here, but always keen to shear different breeds of sheep 👍
You should make a tour through the United States and go to some of the land-grant universities like California state university-chico they have a fantastic variety of sheep breeds although I have to admit Suffolk are pretty much the going thing and Suffolk Hamps- more emphasis on meat than wool, but we'd love to see you!

When shearing with your trailer, the first sheep to come up the race goes into the head gate. Is that the last sheep of the group to get sheared?
Mostly it would be the last sheep of the group to be shorn unless it is a particularly large group and she has been stood in there a while we would shear her when we have a break or lunch.
Around out farm ‘rescue animal’ is code for ‘tomorrow’s supper’. You should enjoy the hair you have on top because ye’ll not have it long!
Definitely doing my best to make the most of my hair just now, as like you said it might not be there for ever!

How much is it to shear a sheep
Depends on how many you have!
What type of sheep, ewes, hoggs, tups, wedders!
Can be anything from £1.50- £2.50 for a decent amount. More for smaller mobs!
Be £1.35 - £1.50 depending on numbers 👍🏻
The wool handlers seem to be just chucking the fleeces into the Wool Marketing Company bags without any folding. Is this because the fleeces have no value?
The wool in Uk doesn’t need as much work as the wool in Southern Hemisphere. It won’t really effect the price.
You’ve got a handpiece, I’ve given heaps of rousie s a haircut, with the shearing gear, there’s only a fortnight between a good haircut and a bad one
