10cc - RUBBER BULLETS - This performance was recorded 'live in concert' in Swansea, Wales in 2011. Due to the RETROFEST event being cancelled in NZ - 10cc will not be coming to NZ in 2012
Listening to this song 48 years after I first heard it on the radio back in 1973. Was a high school teenager then. Memories of bygone careless whispers.
I wasn't alive until ten years later but I became a pro and a student of the game. Gems like this are what I live for. Not only are these guys as tight as any band I've heard live but their sound engineer is god.
This song and this version should be required listening for any one who wants to hear how an intelligent and witty song can be rock solid, fun and musical as hell.
Unbelievable haw can you achieve such an level of perfection and unity, not a one false sound. All of you guys are masters in their craft. My respect !!!!!!!!
Watching some old 10CC and also "current" 10CC randomly tonight on UA-cam. What strikes me about the current 10CC line-up (in this concert) is that they look like they are having fun. Same fabulous music but without the 1970s angst and pretentiousness. Thanks for sharing. xx
Just been to see 10cc at Shrewsbury on Tuesday having been putting off going to see them for years. I seen them 7 times between 1974 and '78 and wanted to remember them as they were, fearing I may be disappointed. It pains me to say this, but to be honest I enjoyed Tuesdays performance more than those '70's shows. They really were enjoying themselves, Mick Wilsons' place was taken by Paul Canning who was absolutely superb, a man so comfortable in his own skin, just as though he's always been there. Would recommend anyone to go and watch them.
I've just re-discovered this YT vid that I first found 6 years ago. My reaction: fabulous. I don't like being old but I love being old enough to have seen this brilliant band live several times. xxx
One of the best and smartest bands in history of this kind of Music, that I follow since 1967. Sorry to be not able to see such Gigs. Greetings from Vienna.
Some of us who remember (and loved) the original 10CC also love the remodelled 10CC that is still going in the Noughties. Thanks for the music boys. xx
Possibly the most on-point and muscular live take I've ever heard from them. All with the signature 10cc wit intact. And yeah, looks like they were having a ball.
Saw 10CC in Wollongong NSW and it was one of the best, if not THE best shows I've ever seen. So true to their original sound and brilliant musicians. If they play anywhere near you go. Simple as that.
Hear hear! I saw the original line-up in London in the 70s and loved them. I saw this line-up at Sydney's Enmore Theatre a few years back and they were fabulous. Hope they come back to Oz soon. xx
This brings back memories of when I was touring GB in a rented Mini the summer of 1973. I also liked The Dean and I. Graham is a true treasure! J.L. Poughkeepsie, NY
Anyone for another season of “Superjail” featuring “Rubber Bullets” in the first title credits? 😎🎸 Real harmonies, real rhythms, real songwriting, real artists! 😎
I read a magazine article some 20 years ago and the cover had a picture of several aging rock and rollers and the caption very simply red Jurassic Rock this is the epitome of that great job guys f****** rule
I loved Things we do for love from near the first time I heard it... Just today I have fallen in deep like with the rest of their stuff! Thanks for posting this. :)
Graham Gouldman and two other band members from the touring band of the 70's, Rick Fenn and Paul Burgess! I have seen them twice this year! They are all crack world class muso's...some people on here just don't know what they are talking about! I feel i can comment being a semi pro drummer myself!
Rubber Bullets sounded better and closer to the record at The Anvil, Basingstoke in October 2022, at the end of a sell-out UK tour. The band are still as good as ever.
Anyone know when sound quality in concert recordings became better than what they create in the studio? If the original sounded this good it would have been an even bigger hit.
johnny the slider 1, things move on mate, get used to it. 10 CC still rock, saw them at York May 2012 and they were brilliant. Stop living in the old age and move on like 10CC have !!

@@justaguy214 Agree, amazing mix on this gig.
July 2024: After 46 years of not touring the United States, 10cc is finally touring the US. I saw them last week in Chicago. Fantastic show.

If superjail was rebooted now, I imagine this would be the intro.
this lead singer blows my mind, he's never off tune. it's insane.
Its not only insane it´s freaking insane! They're playing it at a faster speed! The original is slower!
Epic!
Eric Stewart ;)
Props to Egon Spengler on bass and backup vocals, too.
Awesome version, Mick´s Wilson voice is really amaizing!

Still as good as ever (if not better) Never tire of their music. Loved them AGAIN last night at Wickham Festival 2015!
Mick Wilson's voice is awesome.
Yes indeed
Some of us who remember (and loved) the original 10CC also love the remodelled 10CC that is still going in the Noughties. Thanks for the music boys. xx
I second that emotion! :)

In the Privately-Run-For-Profit Jails in the USA.... Has it come full circle?
Awesome Band please do a tour 2023
Mick Wilson is AWESOME!
+Sligo 1978 He doesn't even have his own wiki page!!!
***** I'll disregard both those comments as they confused me, but I agree he is awesome and all I meant is that he deserves a wiki page...
Then make one for him.
Love him! Great voice - and cute as hell.
don't give me that tribute crap, this is as close to 10cc as you will ever get and they make up with talent! this is freakin awesome.
Ich habe noch nie so ein schönes Video gesehen.Ich kenne den Titel von früher..Einfach Klasse mit dem Saxophon einfach der Hammer..
WOW! What a performance!!!! Fantastic today as yesterday!
Their virtuosity is greater now than when they were young eye candy. Can they play, or can they play!! Amazing!

Sadly 10cc did not make big in the USA been a fan since I was 13 am 60 next year
Agree - US missed a really good band. The idea that they are not in the HOF is insane.
I still love Godley and Creme, but dang, this jam is beyond compare.
saw this lineup live fantastic!
Some of the finest musicians on the planet ..and then there is the song writing .......doesn't get any better
I would recommend anyone to go and see this act they are excellent, And I have seen em all

Absolutely outstanding version
I have so much respect for 10CC
Looks like that was a great performance. Would have loved to have been there.
Just superb.
Damn that was REALLY fun to watch
Rick rocking a fender Squier,
Proof the wood doesn’t matter it’s all in the hands
YEAH!! Superjail and 10cc all the way!!
WHAT AN ALL TIME SUPER GROUP 10CC ALWAYS BE MY #1
First time I've seen this and really need to see this live. My Granny Noble was the biggest 10cc fan - and made me the same.
I loved Things we do for love from near the first time I heard it... Just today I have fallen in deep like with the rest of their stuff! Thanks for posting this. :)
I will always attend the local dance at the local county jail
Wow, better than their original in 1973 💕❤️💕
Fender Jazz Bass in Sonic Blue --- very nice! And the Rickenbacker Jetglo 'taking a rest' behind bassist Graham Gouldman.
Shit that guy can sing,,,,,,,,,,,
Graham Gouldman and two other band members from the touring band of the 70's, Rick Fenn and Paul Burgess!

Super!!!
What a great band saw them at Shanklin Theatre last night
Thought this was the beach boys when I first heard it! The bridge sounds like Brian Wilson came up with it.
Superb!!!!
Old Wild Men go go go go go!!!!
Rick playing his Squier in this one.
Wonderful
Your name speaks volumes. Says a lot about your views as well. You are a real Hunt and no doubt about it.
My home city!
Great Song....Never understood why this wasn't a big hit.
Où sont passés les autres membres fondateurs ? Il n’y en a plus qu’un seul !
The guitarist on the viewers left is playing a Squier, so cool.
Klaas Bakker Nothing wrong w/Squiers. I own a couple myself, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go on tour with them
He even said in an interview that he chose it over all others because it feels so similar to his custom made strat
Браво! Супер рок!!!
Is that Stuart Tosh on drums? It doesn't look like him
Anyone know when sound quality in concert recordings became better than what they create in the studio? If the original sounded this good it would have been an even bigger hit.
Wtf? 10CC were always a hit. i guess you had to be there. i guess you weren't.
Wonderful! Mick Wilson 👍
