There's a lot of comments here - but I thought I'd mention something cool about that guitar solo. It's not an amp setting per se - he used a standard Marshall stack. Instead, Eric Stewart recorded it "double speed" - he slowed the tape down then played it with the backing track at half tempo, so that it would sound impossibly fast and an octave higher when played at regular speed. He then multi-tracked it. Eric was the owner of the studio they used - Strawberry - so they were able to do things like that without time constraints - like the massed overdubbed voices in "I'm Not In Love".
10cc from Manchester,England with their first UK number 1 there. They are a truly inventive band with an amazing history. Drummer Kevin Godley and lead singer Lol Creme basically invented the concept of the pop video in the 80s after they split from the band and also had hits as the duo Godley and Creme. The 10cc hit I'm Mandy Fly me next please and check out the UK top 10 hit from Godley and Creme called Under Your Thumb.
10cc had 4 lead singers, all with great voices. This song was sung by Lol Creme. Drummer / singer was Kevin Godley, bass / singer was Graham Gouldman and guitar / singer was Eric Stewart.
It's amazing that one band can have so many hits with so many different genre's of music, there's this which came under the umbrella of glam rock, I'm not in love which was a love song, dreadlock holiday, a reggae song and then a number of regular pop songs, you never knew what you were going to get next from them
“The Things We Do For Love”, “People In Love”, “Good Morning Judge”, “I’m Mandy Fly Me” and the list goes on!! So many great 10cc songs to choose from!
10cc are still touring albeit with just one original member, Graham Gouldman. I have been lucky enough to see them twice in the last two years and they are still fantastic live with a huge back catalogue.
Saw them at the Cropredy Festival a few days ago - still great. They played essentially the 1972-78 Greatest Hits along with a couple or three album tracks. Just excellent.
Hi you two - You have to give, I'm Mandy (Fly Me) by them - Thanks for the uploads you wouldn't believe how yours and other similar channels kept me going through the Covid year - cheers! :)
Criminally under-known band, one of those rarities where each song has a unique sound, like The Kinks before them and Blur afterwards. Each member was gifted in their own right. You should listen to more.
Four lead singers really, Lol Creme on this one. And four songwriters! Godley and Creme together often wrote some of their more kooky, artsy and sometimes funny songs..like this one. Whilst Stewart and Gouldman wrote more of their traditional pop songs and love songs. Gouldman also wrote a heap of hit songs in the 60s for other bands.
10cc are a very clever band who straddled rock and pop like no other band could. You should listen to ‘You Won’t Feel The Benefit’ , Life Is A Minestrone’ , ‘I’m Mandy Fly Me’ , ‘The Dean And I’. Wall Street Shuffle’ the list goes on!💖
the song is about the attica state prison riot (NY) from 1971. one of, if not the deadliest prison uprising ever. the way they played it as an irreverent pop song was bloody brilliant.
Finally, my favorite 10cc song. Had to call up the radio station to ask the name. First and only time I ever did that. A teenager on a farm. I still remember. LOL
10cc were a very clever band with four talented guys. Their music was unique, fun and quite simply brilliant. Try "The Things we do for Love" and "I'm Mandy Fly Me" for more ingenious song structure. Much love from England 🏴
"Dean And I", "Hospital Song"...bits of their quirky side. :) They left out part of the lyrics that go "When Uncle Sam is the one who belongs in the exercise yard (exercise yard, the exercise yard) We all got balls and brains But some's got balls and chains At the local dance at the local county jail"
This is a TV edit, so we lost the couplet "we all got balls n' brains, but some got balls n' chains". Although it has an explicitly American context (intentionally), the BBC at the time was anxious about the song as rubber bullets had begun to be used in the conflict in Northern Ireland against protestors, and so the topic was, at the very least, controversial. It wasn't banned (like, say, Paul McCartney's "Give Ireland Back To The Irish"), but, strangely, WAS banned during the first Gulf War in 1990.
10cc were great. I saw them live in 1976. One of their best (if not most well known) tracks, is 'Iceberg'. It is deeply strange, and musically wonderful.
Another great band from Manchester, England. Godley and Creme were born in my birth town of Prestwich and Graham Gouldman in Broughton just down the road. Eric Stewart is a Droylsden lad 👍
They were pretty great. In the late 70s they split (Kevin Godley (drummer) & Lol Creme (singer)) became the creative duo Godley & Creme. The rest of the band remained 10cc with added personell. I have all of their albums. (10cc and Godley & Creme)
The band are from my home town of Stockport, England. Strawberry Studios is where they recorded most of their stuff but they did have a second studio in the south of England. The studios was used by many artists often with the 10cc guys as producers. 10cc were the studio band for Neil Sedaka who made his music at Strawberry. It still exists but as a museum to it's glorious past. Best album has to be Deceptive Bends. Made in 1976 the first album with the new line up after Godley and Creme left the band it's just afull of clever songs but the best track is Feel the Benefit part 1,2 and 3 which like some early Queen songs roll into each other clocking in around 10 mins 30 secomds. Pure class.
Can I just clarify about Neil Sedaka. It was his comeback music in 1973 (especially the single That's When The Music Takes Me) which was made at Strawberry. His work in the early 60s (Oh Carol, etc) was all done in America.
Another vote for their song, The Things We Do For Love. And yes, the members that formed Godley and Creme and their song Cry. I hope your son had a great birthday.
A lot of folk here seem to really dig Things We Do For Love. TBH I find it pretty boring and formulaic compared to most of their other stuff, but I guess that's just my misfortune.
Crème and Godley invented a sustain device for guitar (I believe) that got that unique sound. They were singer and drummer in this video. Can’t remember the name but their first solo record was amazing! Like nothing before it! True explorers of sound and music!
10CC did so many good songs, this was about their second hit in the UK. The lead singer on this was Lol Cream I think. Graham Gouldman wrote many great songs for many pop acts-Colin Ward
And herein lies the reason why 10cc never had the international success they so richly deserved. Each member was an insanely talented vocalist / multi intstrumentalist and, because the band worked as a true co-operative, virtually every song had a different lead vocalist, (decided by the band members themselves in that who's vocals suited that particular song, regardless of who had written it), the instrumentation was also spread around the band members, rather than having a recognised lead guitarist for example. The result being there was no recognisable 10cc sound, as there was with their close contemporaries Queen, each single was completely different and, whilst they were all great tracks, there was nothing for audiences in the US, for example, to latch on to as they could with Queen or the Rolling Stones, where each member had their own role within the group. Whilst 10cc had a lot of success here in the UK and Europe, building on their breakout hit "I'm Not In Love" in the US and other parts of the world, proved problematical. Shame really!, sometimes talent alone simply isn't enough.
Great one, guys! 10CC's first 4-5 albums are fabulous! Perhaps the best one might be their second one,Sheet Music. Their songs were lyrically either very deep or hysterical-sometimes both. And-- all four of them sang lead and wrote songs. Try Wall Street Shuffle,The Things We Do For Love,and/or Art For Art's Sake. But really, these albums are true gems. A quite funny fav of mine is Oh Effendi -last track on Sheet Music. Dive in! :-) T
Love Amber's reaction at 5:40, as the vocals resume immediately following the release of tension generated by the ascending bass line just beforehand. That tinkling piano over the bass from 5:03-5:14 is so reminiscent of the quiet passage in I'm Not In Love (1975), the one just before the whispers of "big boys don't cry" start up. Wonder if the boys realised they were sort of recycling it on the later recording? .
Graham Gouldman, perhaps the most underrated songwriter of his generation. Between 1965-67 he wrote probably the 3 biggest Yardbirds hits, Look through any window & Bus Stop for the Hollies, No Milk Today plus a couple others for Herman’s Hermits, Tallyman for Jeff Beck as well as UK charting hits for Wayne Fontana. That’s years before his wonderful career with 10cc. An under appreciated giant in the art form imo
I’m a huge fan of GG He truly an amazing song writer. He was on Top of the pops with a band and a song he had written was No1. 10cc had so many different sounds 😊
Hi guys, you should also check out two of the 10:CC members music, Godley and Creme. Big songs like "Under your Thumb", "Cry" and "Wedding Bells" are from the 80s as opposed to 10:CC from the 70s.
That was a truncated version of the song! A classic couplet was omitted: "We've all got balls and brains But some's got balls and chains". Early 10cc refused to fit a mould. The group's next big hit was "Wall Street Shuffle"
Wow! 😍 Thank you for reacting to this! 10cc should be in the hall of fame for making incredible music in the 70’s and 80’s. So many songs that are just amazing and I would love to see you react to more - Old wild men and Don”t hang up just to mention two out of their fantastic catalogue
I totally agree, Hotel is forever tattooed in my soul along with so many other 10cc songs - like The Hospital song, Fresh air for my mama, Lazy ways, Somewhere in Hollywood, I wanna rule the world etc etc. So creative and talented all four of them. Too bad we only got four albums before Godley & Creme decided to leave.
Again, you miss out by listening to the short version. There's more guitar solo in the full length version and the memorable line "We all got balls and brains, but some's got balls and chains".
Jay, Amber I highly recommend the following to do: K.D. Lang - Constant Craving Edward Bear - Last Song, Fly Across The Sea, Close Your Eyes Ian Thomas - I'm Coming Home, Painted Ladies R Dean Taylor - Gotta' See Jane Wednesday - Teen Angel Most of these are from the 60's 70's but K.D. Lang is early 90's. I can literally make a list of great hits/artists
You can draw a lot of comparisons with The Beatles. They all sing, they tackle any genre and they were very experimental and ground breaking producers. My favourite of theirs is "I'm Many, Fly Me", but they have plenty more great tracks for you to get through.
I loved this song when it came out. In retrospect, considering the possibilities that recording studio's had at the time (tapes and no computers), this sounds so ahead of the time.
10cc certainly were one of the top British bands of the 70's,there is plenty of others iam hoping to see your reactions to Slade,Hot Chocolate,Roxy Music,Showaddywaddy,Bay City Rollers,Boomtown Rats,Wizard,Bee Gees,Ian Dury to name just a few
I've always loved this song, especially the line "we all got balls 'n' brains/well my son's got balls 'n' chains." As a kid I had no idea what it meant, and it was edited out to make it radio friendly, as you heard just before the end, it skips to the last bit of the chorus. I think the full version only appears on the album.
@@jeffcher10 You're dead right - I've still got my copy of the single somewhere, and the bits missing here are definitely on it Good ol' Auntie BBC being prissy again (but how did she miss the earlier mention of guys "ballin' in the street"??!). In fairness, though, it should be noted that Top Of The Pops often edited longer records for length as well as "non-family-friendly" lyrics - the max seemed to be 3.5 minutes. They did something like that the same year to Wizzard's See My Baby Jive.
I think on one European pop show of the time they do sing that line. I'm sure I've seen it on UA-cam. Of course after the charts were published on Tuesday afternoon, and the acts were selected to appear on Top of the Pops, they were then supposed to record a version of their current single in a studio accompanied by a Musicians Union official. Perhaps this is the version they recorded for inclusion.
10cc is art-pop at its finest. The amount of songs they came out with that conformed to nothing else around. I mean, they started this one with the first lines of 'Jailhouse Rock', went into rock n roll revival, veered into electronica - all while the lyrics were just taking the piss. Pure class.
SO MANY MORE 10CC TO CHECK OUT SUCH AS GOOD MORNING JUDGE, ART FOR ART SAKE, THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE, WALL ST. SHUFFLE, FEEL THE BENEFIT(LIVE), I'M MANDY FLY ME, FOR YOU AND I, TAKE THESE CHAINS, SHOCK ON THE TUBE, LAST NIGHT, LIFELINE, OLD MISTER TIME, EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT!! ALL ARE GREAT!
@@ninasazonova2511 Great song too, l could think of more of course but can't name them all! Two first albums are my favourites, but Blackmail from the Original Soundtrack is my favourite 10cc song.
There is no lead singer - they all sang lead at one point. You've heard Eric sing lead on "I'm Not In Love" and Graham sing on "Dreadlock Holiday" and this is Lol Creme singing.
New artist suggestions :- Stranglers (No More Heroes/Sometimes/Peaches) BeBobDeluxe (New Precision/Fair Exchange) Al Jarreau (Black and Blues/Morning) Joan Armatrading (Love and Affection/Show Some Emotion) Scatman John (ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop)
When 10cc broke up the two main singers formed the band Godley and Crème. Have a listen to ‘under your thumb’ it’s a story telling song not a dance tune. Very different from 10cc, it still very good.
10CC were the first band I ever watched live - at Wembley in 1979. Godley and Creme had already left by then but it was still amazing - so many clever songs.
Great song but shame it was the edited version. Another vote for “The things we do for love”. Also “The Wall Street shuffle”. Two of the members Godley & Crème went their own way and had their own hits. I would recommend “Cry”, “Under your thumb” and “Wedding Bells”.
Eric Stewart on Guitar. On an album track called "Blackmail" (The Original Soundtrack 1975) he bends and strangles that guitar in a mind blowing way not to be found in any other band.
Happy Birthday little man!!! Much joy to you all! Always good to celebrate with some 10CC! Speaking of odd named bands please consider the most creative band out there today - Walk Off The Earth! They have some great original songs and many awesome covers. "Hello" featuring Myles and Isaac would be a great place for you to start, and once you start you will never want to stop!!
Jay and Amber I'm an old English man from London. I absolutely love you guys. It's so interesting for me how the pivotal songs in my life have the same effect on you as it did for me the first time I heard them. But, why is that surprising? We respond to the common universality of emotion and experience. It resonates because we are human. Maybe a bit deep. I get carried away sometimes. I'm trying to think which reaction from you guys was my favourite. I can't because they're are so many. Seriously. You cheer me up. Thank you. I'm now going to check out the above mentioned "Rubber Bullets by 10cc" Another absolute gem. Keep rocking. Dave L. x
It has a taste of bubble gum pop but with a dark side reminiscent of the 60s protest lyrics. Such a cool song that I had forgotten about (I was 6 when this came out).
Art For Art's Sake are another great one. Also Godley/Creme - An Englishman in New York. Kevin Godley (the drummer) and Lol Creme (the singer/guitarist on this one left and made their own band. On An Englishman in New York Kevin Godley are singing. They also did some great visual videos
Eric Stewart (the guitar player in this one) sang "I'm Not In Love" (on piano). Lol Creme is singing this one. Kevin Godley is the drummer, Graham Gouldman is the bass player.
Loved that reaction folks, loved that song. 10cc are more properly called a 'supergroup', the two singers on that song, Lol Creme and Kevin Godley (on drums) teamed up with Stewart and Gouldman who had both had pop success in the 60s to form a unique group. They produced 4 excellent LPs before splitting. The interesting thing about this song, and many of their other songs, is its slice of 'Americana' which I remember at the time as being slightly exotic, I couldn't quite get my head around these 4 guys from Manchester England having so much insight into American pop culture, quite a few of their lyrics were over my head until much later, working out what they meant. I loved that, it set them apart from other British groups, they always felt transatlantic... As someone else says below, you gotta give Cry by Godley & Creme a listen, or rather, you need to watch the video. Godley & Creme were actually responsible for many of the most groundbreaking pop videos of the 80s.
One of my favorite art rock bands of all. 10cc mixes campy humor in to their material and I'm glad you guys caught on to it. It's hard to list just a few songs to check out because they have so many: 'Art For Art's Sake' 'The Wall Street Shuffle' 'Silly Love' 'Good Morning Judge' "Hotel" "Baron Samedi" "Oh Effendi" "Feel the Benefit" "You've Got a Cold" "Reds in My Bed" "From Rochdale to Ocho Rios"
Very inventive, clever band with killer hooks that just grabbed you. The lyrics in ALL their songs (and they are many!) are always intelligent and at the very least, amusing. They were huge in the UK,but not so much america, until “I’m Not In Love” hit them. Was #1 for weeks over here. Next up should be “I’m Mandy,Fly Me” by them, but really, just stick a pin in their discography and you’ll get a great tune.
Kevin Godley (the drummer and Lol Creme (lead vocals on this track) did a very funny song called Wedding Bells - the Top of the Pops clip is hilarious with a bride in chains clawing at Kevin - the duo turned to directing videos and made over 100 inc Herbie Hancock's Rock-It, numerous ones by The Police, Tom Jones, U2 and Sting.
Superb; Their "Art for Art's sake" is a must. I was in my home town when I heard the intro getting louder & coming towards me was a guy on a disabled buggy with "Art for Art's sake" Blaring out. I just had to salute him & his choice of intro;
This is early 10 cc. I haven't heard it in a long time. It reminded me of the song "Pictures of Matchstick Men", Status Quo's first hit single, because of a different sound that one was used to hearing from them. Although, of course, you can't stick 10 cc in one genre.
“Silly Love” Has achingly sharp guitar chord effect thingies. “Don’t hang up” and “I’m Mandy fly me” if you like clever lyrics and a story with tunes shifts.
Ah yeah, 1976 the Tower Theater in West Philly. After 5 songs I poked my buddy in the ribs and commented; "This is the best band I have ever heard live." After attending close to 1200 concerts in my life seeing everyone from ABBA to Zappa and seemingly every band in between, that performance still rings true. Outstanding band in a live setting.
10cc were known as the Seventies Beatles in some quarters. Their creativity was off the charts. They told a complete story in 3-4 minutes just as with Rubber bullets. Try out Silly Love for great guitar, and Wall Street Shuffle for a creative pop song again or Art for Art's Sake for a vibe.
Jay & Amber, you'll love their "The Things We Do For Love" for your 4th 10CC song !!!
#cheers !

I saw them in Belfast in 2021 and they were brilliant. Pity Eric Stewart wasn't with them but a great show.
Saw them a year ago in Dublin. Absolutely brilliant
Mr Gouldman was arguably their main man, insofar as 10cc had a main man.
Haha. Outrageous. I love it. 10CC are pretty versatile yeah?
The BBC censored the line "we all got balls and brains but some got balls and chains"!
I recommended this song like a year ago or more and a couple other 10 cc songs as well. I’m glad you got around to it.
I'm Mandy, Fly Me is an AWESOME song by 10cc!
The singer and drummer formed "Godley and Creme." Such a talented bunch all of them could sing play and write.
Amazing band.
They left out part of the lyrics that go
"When Uncle Sam is the one who belongs in the exercise yard (exercise yard, the exercise yard)
We all got balls and brains
But some's got balls and chains
At the local dance at the local county jail"
This is a TV edit, so we lost the couplet "we all got balls n' brains, but some got balls n' chains". Although it has an explicitly American context (intentionally), the BBC at the time was anxious about the song as rubber bullets had begun to be used in the conflict in Northern Ireland against protestors, and so the topic was, at the very least, controversial. It wasn't banned (like, say, Paul McCartney's "Give Ireland Back To The Irish"), but, strangely, WAS banned during the first Gulf War in 1990.
I hear this & all I think of is the fairground. I Remember going on the Waltzer & getting spun round.
Great track & reaction!✌🏻🏴
10cc were great. I saw them live in 1976. One of their best (if not most well known) tracks, is 'Iceberg'. It is deeply strange, and musically wonderful.
My personal favourite was "I'm Mandy, Fly Me" fantastically emotive song.
@@Krzyszczynski could be the case. I'm just going off the 10cc documentary.
Another vote for their song, The Things We Do For Love. And yes, the members that formed Godley and Creme and their song Cry. I hope your son had a great birthday.
I think they'd like Cry.
Shame really!, sometimes talent alone simply isn't enough.
...thanks for that rich...really interesting comment.
Dive in! :-) T
'I'm Mandy Fly Me' is an absolute banger by 10CC.
First album is classic. Some pretty fun tunes on this album.
Absolutely spot on, I have always loved his music, such smart lyrics ✌️
-underrated is so overused !-
In the 1980s, he also went on the be one half of Wax, with Andrew Gold, which was an entertaining collaboration too.
@@sunnystormy4973 thanks for this…made me laugh at 5:29 am lol
I’m a huge fan of GG He truly an amazing song writer. He was on Top of the pops with a band and a song he had written was No1. 10cc had so many different sounds 😊
Hi guys, you should also check out two of the 10:CC members music, Godley and Creme. Big songs like "Under your Thumb", "Cry" and "Wedding Bells" are from the 80s as opposed to 10:CC from the 70s.
That was a truncated version of the song!
A classic couplet was omitted:
"We've all got balls and brains
But some's got balls and chains".
Early 10cc refused to fit a mould. The group's next big hit was "Wall Street Shuffle"
Love this song and others by 10cc. Great band. 70s songs were filled with dark, baroque lyrics. There was a lot of freedom then.
Wow! 😍 Thank you for reacting to this! 10cc should be in the hall of fame for making incredible music in the 70’s and 80’s. So many songs that are just amazing and I would love to see you react to more - Old wild men and Don”t hang up just to mention two out of their fantastic catalogue
It's their lesser known songs l love the most (as with other bands) songs such as my two favourites Hotel and Speed Kills.
Jay, Amber I highly recommend the following to do:
K.D. Lang - Constant Craving
Edward Bear - Last Song, Fly Across The Sea, Close Your Eyes
Ian Thomas - I'm Coming Home, Painted Ladies
R Dean Taylor - Gotta' See Jane
Wednesday - Teen Angel
Most of these are from the 60's 70's but K.D.
Art for Art's Sake, The Things We Do For Love, The Dean and I and The Wall Street Shuffle are all epic songs. Hugely underrated band
100% agree
From my home town of Manchester, UK. 10cc were genius.
I loved this song when it came out. In retrospect, considering the possibilities that recording studio's had at the time (tapes and no computers), this sounds so ahead of the time.
10cc certainly were one of the top British bands of the 70's,there is plenty of others iam hoping to see your reactions to
Slade,Hot Chocolate,Roxy Music,Showaddywaddy,Bay City Rollers,Boomtown Rats,Wizard,Bee Gees,Ian Dury to name just a few
Still championing Slade to be played
I've always loved this song, especially the line "we all got balls 'n' brains/well my son's got balls 'n' chains." As a kid I had no idea what it meant, and it was edited out to make it radio friendly, as you heard just before the end, it skips to the last bit of the chorus. I think the full version only appears on the album.
I'm pretty sure that line is in the single it's just that radio and this Top of The Pops clip has it censored.
I don't think the singer was referring to his son's genital arrangement! It should be heard as "some's" got b'n'b. 😉
I got the album. “ 100cc of 10 cc “ w hen it was released and never regretted it ! The band stood out amongst others 👍🇬🇧
It's their lesser known songs that l love the most. Songs such as Hotel, Speed Kills, Somewhere in Hollywood and Sand in My face.
What about HEADLINE HUSTLER ??? That's my favorite song by them after I'm not in love.
Saw them that tour here in Aberdeen, still one of the best gigs I ever went to
Great song but shame it was the edited version. Another vote for “The things we do for love”. Also “The Wall Street shuffle”. Two of the members Godley & Crème went their own way and had their own hits. I would recommend “Cry”, “Under your thumb” and “Wedding Bells”.
Try the song "Cry" by Godley and Creme that was included on the 10cc greatest hits album. The long version from Miami Vice tv show.
Meh. They're like a hippy version of Pentatonix.
Dave L. x
Un Nuit a Paris is the next 10cc tune you guys should do…also Donna would be a good one by them
Love you two ! Chilled, open minded and appreciating all genres. Good for you from UK!
It's hard to list just a few songs to check out because they have so many:
'Art For Art's Sake'
'The Wall Street Shuffle'
'Silly Love'
'Good Morning Judge'
"Hotel"
"Baron Samedi"
"Oh Effendi"
"Feel the Benefit"
"You've Got a Cold"
"Reds in My Bed"
"From Rochdale to Ocho Rios"
Superb; Their "Art for Art's sake" is a must. I was in my home town when I heard the intro getting louder & coming towards me was a guy on a disabled buggy with "Art for Art's sake" Blaring out. I just had to salute him & his choice of intro;
'Lead' singer of the song and the drummer released a hit called 'Cry' under Godley & Creme (Kevin Godley & Lol Creme) it was a UK hit in 85
Aw 10cc, some real Classics.Intelkifent, humorous, soulful, so many facets and styles, loved them.Never knew what to expect from them.
This is early 10 cc. I haven't heard it in a long time. It reminded me of the song "Pictures of Matchstick Men", Status Quo's first hit single, because of a different sound that one was used to hearing from them. Although, of course, you can't stick 10 cc in one genre.
Definitely a British take on you America
talented top heavy band wit multiple lead singers n songwriters who combined had many hits n also in other bands frm 60s -80s.
"The Wall Street Shuffle" or "Donna"
“Silly Love” Has achingly sharp guitar chord effect thingies.
“Don’t hang up” and “I’m Mandy fly me” if you like clever lyrics and a story with tunes shifts.
10cc - “Good Morning Judge”
Ah yeah, 1976 the Tower Theater in West Philly.
After 5 songs I poked my buddy in the ribs and commented;
"This is the best band I have ever heard live."
After attending close to 1200 concerts in my life seeing everyone from ABBA to Zappa and seemingly every band in between, that performance still rings true.
Outstanding band in a live setting.
After the Beatles this is my favorite band. Also perhaps the most under rated band on the planet. Check out "Feel The Benefit" Parts 1, 2 an 3.
This is one of the most epic songs! The guitar solo at the end is breathtaking. Brilliant!
All four members sang on different songs and all four members wrote the songs, such a talented group. I'm Mandy, Fly Me.
Rubber Bullets, the first ever single I ever bought and played it until it wore out. Thanks for that nostalgic trip, guys!
Can I suggest for a future dip into 10cc Life is a minestrone ? They were an eclectic band and well worth persevering with .. 😅
