RINGO gets more notes and nuance out of a small drum set than any 2 guys with 10 drums, 4 sets of symbols, and a cow bell... Oh yea and then there's the timing thing..., . He's "RIGHT ON TIME ". His drums were the lead instrument in this song. I want to hear it again....
One very important attribute of Ringo is the fact that people like him. They like being around him. They like working with him in the studio and in live gigs. He’s very personable even at 80 years old.
There's an obvious reason why some of the world's most revered, respecrted musicians have gathered to throw down a massive groove behind the music of Ray Wylie Hubbard! Ray is a once in a geneartion artist of bottomless depth, wit and clarity. Why oh why doesn't this band lay down more of these sessions? Scary too good! Good could that be it? I wonder.
Well said. Joe and Ringo are brother-in-laws too. Don is a hell of a producer/artist currently playing w/Wolf Brothers. They played Aspen just before this plandemic was brought on us. My son saw them and said it was top notch performance. Chris is a helluva "cool cat" as well.
Ringo's drums always sound perfect. I guess over 60 years of playing you learn a trick or two. But he never seems to turn a bad trick with his drum sound.
It was always said Ringo had "perfect" rhythm. He could do take after take exactly the same. The Beatles could paste together the best takes & know George's take #3 would match up with Paul's take #7 would match up with any of Ringo's takes. To me, he's underrated.
Thanks for the great love and support you show as a special fan of mine,I hope you won't stop listening to my music and this is my private text number 747 281-3774 I would love to talk to you better
I live just down the highway from the snake farm in Texas and ran into Ray Wylie at my favorite Mexican restaurant and he is hilarious so it's so sweet to see him hanging with Ringo and the others men that make a world a better place even Texas Love to you and the planet Ray Wylie Ringo and the other stars in the sky! DanMarcos
Damn it son, this what your daddy listened to in 2020 , crowding 70 and still rocks.. Now turn that rap crap down and listen to the best music outa Texas ..
@Ray Wylie Hubbard🎶 Hey Ray your the man. I'd like to think I'm your biggest yankee fan. Greetings from Vermont. It'd be real cool to see you if ever get the the chance to visit the north east. Slainte!
Just when I thought Ray couldnt get any better, comes out with this, with a few other Legends !!!!, There is some light in the current world after all !!!!!
Holly shit. Ray has got to be the greatest musician who has never topped the charts. My life has improved after I discovers this talent. How has he not played everywhere?
Well, Mr. Hubbard, my day is complete and damned fine. Just heard this after hearing your rendition of "Choctaw Bingo". Don't get much better than that in this life. Thank you, sir!!!!
So happy for RWH! This is “in the groove.” When Joe Walsh is playing some crunchy lead, you can see the pure contentment in RWH’s face. I hope there is more of the same on the forthcoming album. RWH is a legend.
This is some damn good stuff! I've been listening to Ray since the Cowboy Twinkies album and he has always been different, exactly what Country music has needed to become. Everybody looks great, especially Ringo, he has hardly aged at all. I would love to see this band in concert.
As an old school follower of music, I always think of Joe Walsh as a member of the James Gang. They were my first concert in 1968 at the Ohio state fair. Still a wonderful memory. Peace 💚
Wow! This is stuff of today and days-gone-by--and great for dancing to Ringo's impeccable beat, Ray Wylie Hubbard's wonderful lyrics & performance; so good that they're all together here.
@Ray Wylie Hubbard🎶 I would be honored in turn for whatever you're willing to share. Music, yours included, has been one of the few things that have helped me get through the death of my wife 4 months ago. Story songs help remind me about others going through as bad or worse. I'm not very tech savvy so I don't know what's next. But thank you Dave.
Unbelievable, how Ray keeps spitting out wonderfully great tunes, and now he has a cool band, but then he had a very cool band before when they are out on work release weekends. Thanks Guys!!!
Thanks for keeping truth in music. The mainstream will never play this stuff because it's too honest, too real. Thanks for offsetting the bubble gum bs of the norm. The honesty of Cash combine with sharpness of Lonesome George, stir in a bit of Lightning Hopkins, a dash Elvis, and garnish with Howlin Wolf. Served best with whiskey.
@Ray Wylie Hubbard🎶 That would be amazing. I stumbled across you on here about a year ago. I was floored by the honesty of life you bring. Crossing metaphysics, legend, lore, and spirituality ain't easy. But, with a little sweat and grace you found it. Please keep doing what you do!
Absolutely Perfect 🎸💃❣️😍🙏🎶🌹💞💃💯💌 The most Beautimous 😇 performance THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY OKIE HEART 💓❣️ THERE'S NO WORDS LOVE YOU 😘❤️😘 GOD BLESS 😇
It really amazes me When I see these negative comment assholes This room has more talent in their pinkies Then the entire new country has People just donr know what great music is
How are you doing today Ronaye? Its really nice having you on here .. I saw your profile on here and i think we definitely are on the same page on many levels. Trust, communication, loving, honoring, understanding, patience and respecting your partner. So crucial to provide balance. This is what creates such great chemistry between two people that are committed to one another.
Mr Wylie your music groups of blues brothers and instrumentals are like wine flowing up a mountain to splash the moon wow what a sound you guys are shaking the sky.
Hearing a jam like that makes me hope that my hearing is the last thing to go as I age. I can only imagine the jam sessions that Ringo and Joe have played together since they are related. Great song. Nice and easy..lowdown and greasy..
I first found this song two weeks after my wife died. Today was the first time I looked at the lyrics. This entire time I heard him sing that there are five stages to go through when you're grieving, instead of five stages to go through when you're craven. It's interesting to learn more about just how much my brain has been affected by the grief life threw at with the loss of my wife and daughter.
The unsung hero in this is Don Was, keeping the funky bass line going without being overbearing.
I agree, though I think it's a tad impossible to be an unsung hero when you're Don Was. Lol 😂, peace 💚
reinforces Ringo's gift for fills and transitions - he was never flashy but damn, he's right on time. Peace and Love, brother...
How do you know he was on time? He took 5 takes for this song lol did you know that?
RINGO gets more notes and nuance out of a small drum set than any 2 guys with 10 drums, 4 sets of symbols, and a cow bell... Oh yea and then there's the timing thing..., . He's "RIGHT ON TIME ". His drums were the lead instrument in this song. I want to hear it again....
Sounds like you shading
@@magneto7930 plenty happening, nice steady music, that just sits right in the soul and the bones.
@@magneto7930, methinks there's not much happening btwn your ears, either. Open up your head, and learn; you'll be glad you did.

Rock solid ❤

Agree ❤
It’s just the music industry… that’s why we discover what we do. Love discovering and living how I do
Ray Wylie Hubbard is a Texas legend and the rest of those guys are cool cats too!!!
True Texas Troubador!!!
We're from Texas...so screw you...
He was born in Oklahoma. But we have adopted as a native. Rock on.
Well said . ! . I guess that's why they call you Mr Wright ! ! !
Well said. Joe and Ringo are brother-in-laws too. Don is a hell of a producer/artist currently playing w/Wolf Brothers. They played Aspen just before this plandemic was brought on us. My son saw them and said it was top notch performance. Chris is a helluva "cool cat" as well.
Ringo Starr is nearly bloody 80! Awesome
Elsie Scott So there is hope for us senior citizens!!
And looks *maybe* 65.
Unbelievable. Awesome 😊
@@rogerknight2267 Hell yeah 😏
He looks and performs GREAT!
If labels would leave musicians alone and let them do what they do then we'd have a lot more badass jams like this.
Love this track 🔥
Yeah, as long as the musicians have this kind of talent.😂
Live in Uk , discovered RWH a few months ago via UA-cam- hooked .
Hello how are you doing today…?
That drummer shows promise, hang onto his number.
What do you get when you put an Eagle, a Black Crow and a Beatle together? A heck of a backup band.
Amen!
And a Wolf Bro. 😊
Joe will always be a James Gang-er to me, not an Eagle.
Steve Wilson don’t forget Don✌️
Dam Right
HOLY CRAP! That's awesome! RWH has always been the coolest dude on the planet....I'm glad the rest of the world is starting to notice.
I thought the 13th Floor Elevators were the coolest...ha.
@@rockyroad2143 LOL! Well....they're not together anymore so RWH has taken over the title!!

I guess you're about the coolest guy ever when Ringo and Joe session for you.
Goose pimples is running up and down my spine from the cool in that room! Rock on Ray Wylie Hubbard! No one is more deserving!
You know; actually Ray, she's right. And my oh my, how sweet it is. We're all very happy for you Ray!
I got to sit in on Dead on the River at Dukes Country TULSA. The Cowboy Twinkie Band.
Ringo at 80 wtf there is hope for the future
This is exactly what I needed in the midst of quarantine and isolation. New Bob Dylan and New Ray Wylie Hubbard!!! WooHoo!!!
I Contain Multitudes. Dylan needs to stick with selling Cadillacs and Victoria's Secrets.
@@andrewp5642 the rest of the album was less tedious than that track. It was pretty good.
Damn it son, this what your daddy listened to in 2020 , crowding 70 and still rocks.. Now turn that rap crap down and listen to the best music outa Texas ..
This is great, but there is good rap, too. There is good rock n roll, bad rock n roll. Good rap, bad rap. Good country and bad country.
😅😅😅😅😂❤❤❤❤
I’ve never EVER !! Heard of this. Till now.
Oh hell yes !!!
I love everything Ray does. He is a true musical genius! When the world gives you "shit," Ray comes along to smooth it all out!! BRAVO my friend!!
You know, these kids might be ok someday as long as they keep practicing!
Rock n roll is just a fad, doncha know? ;-)
Might find some side-project-bands, too ;-)
Maybe. A few lessons couldn't hurt.
Yeah, but who's ever heard of these guys?😏
Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ringo Starr, Don Was, Joe Walsh are badass!
Damn this is great!!
Talk about a dream lineup. Crazy great. Food for the soul.
So we’ll done amen💙❤️
A supergroup equal to the Traveling Wilbury's!
Idk if I can agree or disagree with that comment
Close
Nasty groove by ringo ! Simple but there’s something in it that makes you go oh yeah!
It's got a beat so phat you can sit on it.
The only thing I didn’t like about this song was the end. Not the end necessarily but that it ended. What a jam!
Everytime I hear this song I have to play it twice!

Ray is a font of profoundly great stuff.
Somethin’ real, boys and girls.
Absolutely filthy old-school medicine for the soul
No combs were harmed during the filming of this session.
Holly shit. Ray has got to be the greatest musician who has never topped the charts. My life has improved after I discovers this talent. How has he not played everywhere?
Maybe he has - come together
He just played Eureka Springs, Arkansas-population 2000.(!) He was great!
best back up band i've seen in years.
Greasy with a nasty groove, love it
This gives me chicken skin! evil mean wicked and nasty.
That's Ray's trade mark.

Hello how are you doing today…?
RWH, the real deal and playing with some real deal musicians, he deserves every bit of recognition.
That's why it caught my ear....😊
hey Ringo is great euh :)
Just got back from watching him at The Shed in Maryville Tennessee this evening. Totally awesome
Anyone else out there but me that wishes Ray Wylie Hubbard and JJ Cale would have recorded together?
That would have been cool.
Hubbard and Warren Haynes would be good too
Maybe my two all time faves, just fn cool!
Now that WOULD of been sweet! 🤔🤔😁
You've got a great ear!
I stumbled across this Gem, just as I discovered the blues greats tin th 70's. Ringo knows all!
Heard that little tribute to Clapton rock on rock on
