So I got this exact down pipe catless and I too get the cab fume smell . I went over the clamps and checked to make sure everything is tighten and they were . I did spray the with water n soap and saw just a super small leak and bubbles were made where the turbo and down pipe connect and so I loosen it up and re tight it and same small leak . You can barely see the bubbles being formed so I’m not sure if that can be the cause .
I hear an exhaust leak somewhere? Those clamps supplied with Y-pipes and your Roush mufflers are prone to leaking. Mine did, then i switched them to the U bolt style clamps, which tighten down so much more.
@@BoostednStoopid did it end up throwing a code for you? Lol. I want to run the catted downpipe on my 17 with all stock mufflers and catback and everything just the downpipe and didnt want the code
@@aidanmyers3385 here’s what you do bro, it’s a toss up wether or not it throws a code, I didn’t want to play that game so I ended up buying a defouler, it was about 13 bucks with shipping. I can’t really say who sold it to me but everyone should make one and they ain’t hard to find. Get that and throw it on I’m not running a tune at the moment and it’s been about 2 weeks and car hasn’t thrown a code so it definitely invest into that part for cheap insurance. Plus it’s not leaking so a small price to pay to avoid that annoying light.
@@aidanmyers3385 I really want to start a channel man, I’ve owned this car 4 years and finally paid it off and have done anything you can think of to it and have successfully avoided that light and it’s at 73K miles and she runs beautifully but hopefully that doesn’t change when I get a tune for it. It’s almost complete FBO just short a turbo and I’ve invested a little over 10K in parts for it. They’re really good cars just people mod them wrong or don’t do research.
Hey bro do you get any in cabin smells? I'm catless and the smell is really bad, wondering if adding a high fliw would completely get rid of it. I drive my little bro around a lot and don't want him smelling that bs
@@willjames734 I never had a smell come in to the cabin. I had a few cars with cat deletes on them too. I noticed a difference behind the cars, but that's it.
@@artdellaluce yeah maybe the issue is that my exhaust tip has to be extended a bit, right now it's flush with the bumper so I'll probably make it go like a couple inches past it
Im still dying to hear what it sounds like with the ford active exhaust option
ay bro did this throw a code?? also did you see a big difference in sound when using the cvfab pipe?
How much louder did it get to you ?

I been trying to fix this leak for the longest with different slip clamps, you said a U clamp would fix that Leak ?
I am extremely late to seeing this video but what size is the Y-pipe? I’m curious if this downpipe will work with my 2.5”CVF y-pipe
on the website, there is the 2.5” adapter option or just the straight 3”
What was your exhaust setup before the DP?
He says it in the start of the video
Did it throw a code?
Well Mr Michael 2 years later and you found the answer but it was no thanks to this dude lol don’t mind me replying to myself

If you have any cabin smell, there is a leak. I highly recommend getting it checked asap

To each his own. Hope mine doesn't sound that obnoxious.
It's going to be loud, this is a high-flowing Downpipe. Still, I hope you enjoy your EcoBeast!
What size is the down pipe ?
