Stang looking and sounding good brother!
Great video. I thinking about doing this for my 15.
Great video! Doesn't hurt to add some anti seize to the threads of the o2 sensors when re installing them into the new DP
Ty for making the video, I am planning on doing this with my EcoBoost Mustang.
Looking at getting their IC, Piping and Catted DP myself. Problem is, its a 2019 with Active Exhaust so finding a sound clip is IMPOSSIBLE.
@@lynex83 it would probably be 2x louder with the loud exhaust mode compared to an EcoBoost Mustang without the Active exhaust option.
Best downpipe hands down.. woke up my pony along with my exhaust setup
What exhaust do you have on it?
@@royfults5664 the downpipe pairs amazing with MBRP race exhaust but you will need the 3inch adapter when you’re purchasing the downpipe for the MBRP exhaust. also the CFVab discontinued the catless downpipe so get it while you can!
@@royfults5664 No longer have the car. Had it with mbrp race catback. Bought a gt
Killer edit
Just ordered one
For the last part right before you turn the car on. Is your pipes the same size? My pipe is welded on and I would have to cut it but it is the same size as the part where is goes from 3in to 2.25in. I’m just confused would I still be able to put it together or would I need to get new piping to my y pipe?
No CEL? Still holding up well? Also any way I can clean o2 sensors if dirty ?
Thanks
I just finished installing my new CVF catless DP today. It's funny because when i put anti seize on the threads of the o2 sensors, i thought of this video LOL. This DP should of been an easy install, but i ran into a problem. Since the oem downpipe uses a donut gasket, at the very bottom of the 2 bolts, there are 2 round bumps, which made it vary hard to get inew DP flange t to sit flush, because the holes wern't big enough. What i ended up having to do, was bore out the holes a little bit. On the new DP flange i could actually see where the flange was getting hung up on those round bumps, by the indentation marks. After i fixed that, it installed no problem. I'm actually about to go out and start it for the first time, right after this post :-P
EcoBoost_Matt Great. I’m glad it all worked out for you! It sounds amazing for sure!
We're terribly sorry you had to go through that, Matt! This was an issue with our design of the 1st gen. catless downpipe for some vehicles (which has since been resolved on the gen. 2 catless downpipes) and we're grateful for customers like you who have stuck through it and let us know how to make our product better!
Hopin' you're enjoy that new pipe!

@@cvfabrication i just brought a 2018 ecoboost premium convertible which one of your downpipe's do you recommend me putting on that does not require a tune im looking for more sound then anything, please respond with a link if possible.
@@halftime2257 It's really up to whether you want more sound and don't mind a bit of an exhaust smell in the cabin (catless) or a more muted note (high-flow cat).

Can I just buy new o2 sensors or clean the current ones if they're that dirty ? Also still no CEL? Thinking about getting this soon. Also have rhino ramps
Neftali Ortiz to be honest I’m not sure. I traded the car in already but it ran fine without issue when I traded it
If I already have a 3inch exhaust would I need the 3inch adapter they sell for an extra 25$? trying to not have to weld it on
I wasn't sure about that anyways when I bought mine so I ended up just getting the adapter just to be safe lol. Better safe than sorry
Can you post an update on how it's holding up after 2 years?
foreverchilllin No sorry...this vehicle is long gone. I’ve got 3 veh since this one haha. I can say that the owner who purchased the veh has had no issues and loving the Ecoboost w/this downpipe
Did the gasket between the tubro and downpipe warp for you? Within 20 minutes of driving i had a gap between the downpipe and turbo
Tyler Strickland When you drive the pipe heats up and expands. You may have to adjust the Dow pipe after a few miles to ensure a good seal
do you smell fumes when idling at a light? or do you smell fumes at all with a catless?
Na trust me you smell it but really only when you cut on heat or air
wondering if you got a cel light yet
Nicholas Killeen nope. All good
What size adapter did you get for it. 2inch or 3inch?
2.25 in. Is the stock diameter. The Y-pipe he had installed would need to fit the previous downpipe, which would make its diameter 2.25 in. as well. So to answer your question, he used a 2.25 in adapter.
will this void warranty? and also.
, is it legal to replace stock catts ?
lee speed it only voids the warranty of the remaining exhaust. I live in a state without emissions testing so changing out the cats doesn’t effect me.
@@dksgarage6061 thanks for the info. i live in florida and i just pulled the trigger😃 cant wait til next week
lee speed awesome man. You’re gonna love it
How obnoxious are the exhaust fumes without a cat?
They smell great if you're a gearhead. Not too obnoxious, but you will smell it from time to time.
so i would no longer need the donut gasket? (FR3Z5C226A)
does it smell? being catless in all...
just bought this downpipe but i dont have a tune yet do you think if i install it it’ll fuck up my car?
It's a no tune required pipe. So it should be fine
@@dksgarage6061 thank you for the reply know im hella late ur videos extremely helpful man truly appreciate it. gonna use it as my install guide tuesday!
Great video absolutely love what you have doing ‼️ You have earned a new subscriber!! Really do appreciate your video!... 💯❤️🤍💙🇺🇸💪👍👍🤯🥳🔥🙌
Would I need to tune my stock car after installing this? If so how would I go about tuning it
wordlife97 No need for a tune, that’s the beauty of this piece!! You would however get the most out of the performance this mid pipe brings by adding a tune but it is “required”
Nocturnal Performance Sweet, plan to make this my first mod and delete the mufflers as well
@@dksgarage6061 bro i heard if you dont tune it , it can mess up your turbo and get backfires
@@drsauce2574 nope not true, that’s why u use the o2 sensors with the aftermarket down pipe.
@@deec3158 of course I'm talking about I read somwhere if you use a catless downpipe on stock tune it can cause issues
nice ass seats bro how much do those recaro seats cost ?
Brandon Solano Thanks. I found someone selling them locally for i think it was $800 but new I think they are $2500
@@dksgarage6061 holy moly haha thank you bro
“Grab deez nuts”😂😂
Depression I can only find the catted version so if anything I’ll cut the cat off loll
