I'm not a mechanic nor am I close but I did with the help of your videos install my exhaust and cold air intake myself so you think it would be smart to install this downpipe myself as well? Or should I get a professional?
+Kameroni If you can handle the exhaust I think you will be ok. Making sure the pipe is seated properly on the turbo is the hardest part.

How was the eco when you had it what year?
@@williamhiers6328 It was a 2020 10 speed and I don’t recommend tuning it I say just go Bmw or get a 5.0 10 speed because once I started making mine pretty quick it started having issues frequently

will this downpipe work with the mbrp race? I'm having trouble on which downpipes to get. the catback went into the stock clamp connecting the catback and downpipe.

The mbrp kit comes with adapter to go from 2.25"-3". Where is yours?
I have the street MBRP and it fits well . The only thing is that rattles I’m trying to find a solution .

I have an aftermarket Exhaust with 3". Will the Mishimoto Downpipe fit to the 3" or only for factory Exhaust ?
+Razedzz If it is a true 3 in you can install without the adapter if it has a flange on the front
If you don't have the Mishi type flange thought, I'm assuming you will have to use the adapter and cut it back a bit to get close to the 3". Correct. (Doing install here tomorrow Bill and I appreciate CJ's prices and your videos!)

Hey was in the middle of installing when I noticed my old pipes are welded onto the mid pipes, is there a solution for this or would I have to go to a professional ?
I would recommend an exhaust shop at that point.

If you're referring to the mesh looking thing on the stock downpipe, I'm pretty sure that's a flex pipe. Just allows the exhaust a little bit of movement between the engine and chassis so that nothing breaks.
Installing a downpipe, doesn’t remove the machine from the factory warranty?

I’m looking to install a Catted down pipe and have not thought about a tune for it, I’m looking for slightly more sound more than performance needs. Im wondering if running a downpipe without a tune is dangerous or harmful to the car in any way?

@@yokonovich I actually ended up putting the catted downpipe on a couple months ago and it gave me a check engine light but it runs fine and honestly probably won’t do anything bad to the engine , id only worry if it doesn’t start 🤷♂️ but if anything it made it sound better , I plan on getting a whole new exhaust before getting a tune anyways , I’ve read a lot about mods and it’s seems like some after market parts need tunes and others don’t , also my mechanic friends say it straight 🤷♂️
Ok cool because I was like that with the down pipe catted and check engine light on.
But I didn’t use the car until I got it tuned on July 8 . So far so good !!!

@@sedicibrah2025 yeah bro , my brother has it on his and its nice , videos really don't do justice on this cars exhaust lol but I guess I got an email telling my mishimoto DP it's out of stock from AM , so had to cancel that and order the BBK down pipe , like 60 bucks cheaper too .

My car is literally in the shop for this right now. After using my friend’s obm2 reader before bringing the car to the dealer, the code for my car that came up was ‘P1070’ which described an ‘air/fuel leak’. Since bringing it to the dealership and running a $205 diagnostic they found out that the gasket connecting the turbo to the engine block had been blown out, hence making my bill $450 after parts and labor. I thought this was quite a bit but after calling my personal mechanic that has worked on my car for years, he quoted me between $580 - $800. After considering the work the dealer mechanic will have to do in terms of taking off the entire turbo replacing the $30 gasket and still only charging me for half the time he put into the car, I considered my bill pretty lenient. Not sure obviously if your car has the same blown gasket that mine does but if so expect a similar price. Hope this helps.
@@Jboneice7 Thank you so much for sharing this to me. In the meantime i've found the part number for the gasket, i bought it (22.5 dollars here in Romania), and tomorrow i'm gonna change it, hopefully for 20-25 dollars in labour.

If your mustang is louder than before, if you can hear the turbine much louder, and if exhaust gases escape into the car, than you might need to change this donut gasket.

You do not have to but it is recommended.

It isn’t legal for street use. Installation of non-catted down pipe usually makes car only legal for off street use (race track, drag strip). Check with your state laws.

All Catless downpipe do that unfortunately if you still have the stock downpipe you can put it on for emissions
Or just get a tune that eleminates the cel
cuz its catless and dont have a catalyc converter on it , until you get a tune its gon keep saying cel or you can get the cvfab catless downpipes which solved that issue with a built it defouler so you want need a tune and get CEL code

+Hashim Al. That's common for high flow cats. I would ask you tuner what changes were made for the downpipe.

A high-performance single 2.5 inch exhaust system will sound better than a dual exhaust 3.0 inch system on a four-cylinder engine a single exhaust system will make more power and weigh less
not on a turbo engine... more flow is always better. sound is subjective. The 3 inch will give the deepest sound while 2.5 will give a louder raspier sound
