Oh my goodness...I was laughing so hard at the beginning when you showed the two types of glass half/full. I am constantly topping off my tank......😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice gadget! Do you think i could use a splitter to make it work for more than 1 tank? I think water evaporation should be pretty much the same in all tanks. Also, do you need to clean the sensor a lot? Does it malfunction after a while due biofilm/algae covering the sensor?
I've been looking for an ATO and this one looks great and you make it seem that's its just what I need for my nano reef. The reviews on Amazon are mostly positive but the the few negatives where concerning. How long have you had this in operation if you don't mind saying? The biggest negative seems to be that it only works for a short time then fails.
Amazing review, looks like exactly what I need for vacations... One question though, will it be a big deal if the water that is getting pumped in is not temperature matched? I have a tropical tank set at 27 degrees celsius.
Not a big deal for evaporation replacement. If you’re doing it from a water change(which I don’t see it being that beneficial) then you can put a heater in the reservoir/water source.
You can’t really use it for water changes, the pump will cut off if it fills more than 6x the amount of the first time you used it, so you could make sure your first fill is a large one but then you couldn’t then use it as a water topup device because you then risk the pump not cutting off and filling the tank with a tank full of water when you only wanted to top it off.
@AquaristForFun I'm doing manual water changes in a small nano reef. I just don't know what to do with the ato when the water level drops below the sensor.
Iv been in the planted tank scene for 15 years plus these items are just a waste of your money.iv brought them all over the years and you use them for 6 months then thay just go in the loft . No matter how much you try you need to maintain a planted tank yourself with your own hands if your going on holiday just lower the lillypipe so the pump don't suck in air save your money folks and buy some more plants or rocks or co2
Hey man! Just found your channel and I see you haven’t posted in a year! You’re very likeable, don’t give up. Come back stronger!
Interesting product, thanks for sharing.
thank you!!!! thanks for all the support as always!
Have you had any issues with the blue light being so bright that the tank is semi light all night?
Disturbing the fish sleep cycle etc.
Great vid - thanks! I was wondering if you know if a more powerful pump can be hooked up to this.

how is the water flow? my bucket for the aquarium refill is like 2-2.5meters away from the opening of my tank, will the pump be strong enough?
Very helpful, thank you!
Thank you!
Hey I just hooked this up in my 14 gallon. What do you do when you do water changes? Do I unplug the unit?
I mean I can use the unit for my water changing routine. 😀

I recently returned from a 37 day vacation and these were a life saver. They worked perfectly keeping my 2 tanks topped off. Highly recommend these.
they really are a life-saver!
How big was the reservoir under?? Im going a 30 day trip too thanks

You didn't mention the major con: price. $60 is quite expensive for basically a small pump and sensor. Maybe because they sponsored you.
60 isnt a lot for what it does tbh
@@TOsAquatics There are cheaper options available that work just as well.
