I’ve had mine for a couple weeks, not a long time, but it is amazingly stable. So far very happy!!!
I have had mine for a few weeks and it is by far seems to be built better then any other I have tried
Looks nice but Tunze might have designed the dumbest tubing rim-mount ever. Did you see the 90 degree angle?
It works perfectly for a rimmed sump.
@@brandonclark2170 was just about to say the same thing!
This upgrade will be part of my total tank reset. I’ve been using the Tunze tubing holder for my dosing tubes for over a month and they are fantastic. I had to turn them upright to fit the eurobrace on my sump but they have been amazing thus far with no magnets to ever worry about like other tubing holders on the market
What about that timer feature that was in the old controller ? I liked that . 😊
Awesome..... Now drastically mark down the 3155's price since all of the 'gotta' upgrade/have the latest gear' reefers will no longer want it.
Happy Christmas Thomas and gang. Great news, will finally get one when my ATO needs replacing. Was not a fan of the float switch in the last one.
Just wondering how would this work for the longer distances for us reefers with remote located ATO containers where with the older 3155 units we could run longer wire and hose splices?
If Tunze has extensions for the pump connector cable, then all you'd need to do us pick that up along with more tubing. The pump has a 20ft max head height, so that should be more than enough for the majority of long distance pumping.
Thomas always gets a 👍
👍
Does it make a warning sound when the back up sensor is reached? That's gotta be irritating if it does with it being so close to the main sensor
No warning sound 👍
I worry about the lack of alarm. That thing has def. saved me in the past from overflows.
I’m curious about the smart features. Does it have a minimum run time and does it turn on every time there’s a power surge? I’m asking specifically cause I’d like to put it on a smaller tank but I’ve had issues with the older version over flowing the tank. Curious if I’m better off sticking with a tunze nano.
Hiw does the pump handle grit? Many of us run kalkwasser in the ATO and my regular osmolator has been going for several years with no troubles.
Hi sir i want make aluminium stand for aquarium my tank water capacity is 65 gallon can you guide which profile size is best 45×45 or 45×60 can guide me please
My 3155 is over 10 yrs old and still works. Why upgrade?
😍😉
@@TUNZE_Aquarientechnik I'll upgrade to this new one sooner or later. Don't worry. 😁 I'll make the 3155 my backup.
🥰💪🙏
I can tell from your response that you didn't expect Tunze to troll your comment....
@@billydanzz lol. I was actually tickled pink that they responded.
Just wondering how quiet the pump is. I have the 2nd generation, and I can hear the pump on the other side of the house.
Is there a high water alarm like on the old one?
What's best lights for 3ft long tank for beginners please want coral and fish and will have sump n refugium please advise Wayne
On these reviews, especially for pumps, I'd like to know exactly how loud the pumps are and what kind of sound they make (high pitch, low pitch, grating, pulsing, etc.). That would be a massive help. Maybe use a Decibel meter, and hold an unfiltered Lavalier mic next to it running in an acrylic box with water.
This looks like an actual ready to use product instead of a DIY project. I think I might give it a go. I'll probably add a float though to cut off power if the water gets too high. Equipment can't be trusted, as it WILL eventually fail the longer it is used.
The pumps for the previous generation were sooooo loud, and the sound was really grating and horrible. The setup was super janky as well, so much so, that it felt like an electrical hazard. I ended up giving it away to a coral farmer and doing something else.
Are there ATOs available for rimmed tanks without a sump? If so, point me in the right direction. I have only been running a tank for about a year, but an ATO would be nice.
Will the pump fit in my water jugs?
That’s the one question they didn’t answer lol
I suppose I'd need to know the dimensions of your water jugs to answer that!
@@ThomasBReef I’m guessing it’s the standard 5g jugs you get at the lfs
Nice just 200 bucks!
So, no alarm sounds or online capabilities. Pretty meh than.
229.00! yeah no.
