Ken enjoying "Tell the Vision" while being someone who dislikes almost everything Kanye do is so surreal. I can't believe that's the song he actually liked, hell I don't even think Kanye fans liked that song
It's one of my favorite tracks on donda. Notes sound dark and menacing. Has this rhythm to it makes me move even with lack of drums. Plus I love the raw nature of the pop smoke vocal sounds eerie. Wish people would stop writing it off this track survived all the listening parties it wouldn't take a min to add drums but they chose not to. An intentional statement that should at least be given a second look
I think he got confused tbh. That is the worst minute of music in any Kanye project he's ever released. I'd take the static at the start of "On Sight" over Tell the Vision
Ken is just making intentionally shitty takes just to troll Kanye fans at this point. He likes the 1 track without Kanye on it, even if its a shit track.
The fact that they didn't even mention Come to life but said that the pop smoke interlude was fire legit makes me have so many mixed feelings about there opinion, but i respect it...
I love dehh when they actually dive into the albums and give it some time but it seems like they listened to it once while they were vacuuming or something. Not saying they have to like it at all but they can definitely go into more depth than they did on this review.
Keep My Spirit Alive doesn't sound like a Griselda song because it is not a Griselda song, it's a Kanye song. Jonah doesn't sound like a Lil Durk song either
Even while delivering probably the shortest verse Conway has ever laid down on a song he manages to excel. "Doctor said I wouldn't walk no more. Now I stand, then I ran. Here I am, Machine"
I think what they meant was that they felt like the instrumental didn't compliment their style. I like the song, but that doesn't mean what they said doesn't make sense
I’m a little confused. They said the features were lack luster, but like a pop smoke track, that sounded unfinished, when the full version is out… I don’t get it
The audacity of ken to question kanyes ability when he literally just reviewed abstract mindstates new album, lovedddd the production and now the audacity that hes saying kanye cant produce????? He produced that album front to back
@@kennithbinge no they were not. The dude from abstract mindstate himself said that kanye made those beats specifically for them before they started working on the album. Its not that kanye cant do that kind of production, its just that he doesnt want to anymore. And you can disagree with that artistic choice sure, even i like his previous work wayyy more. But to question his ability is actually shocking when hes still out here making music that you rate very highly
Jay's verse sounded a bit awkward to me on first listen because of his flow choice, but man I totally disagree with that being a bad verse. "On my cell, in my cell tonight / Don't have to see you to touch you / This is what braille look like, it's on sight". And the opening part: "Hol' up, Donda, I'm with your baby when I touch back road / Told him, "Stop all of that red cap, we goin' home" / Not me with all of these sins, castin' stones". Jay went in with a thematically fitting verse.
Yea exactly. The lyrics are great. I wouldn’t mind if he did a faster flow and if some drums came in earlier to help the beat build more and vary it, but still a great song.
Bruh vulnerable Ye hit me more than rap Ye on this album . I feel like people were expecting bangers and raps so they dissapointed. Im happy af with this album
Ken's reaction to this project is exactly what I expected. He's an old school conservative grandpa. He doesn't care about anything abstract, songy or artsy. He just wants straight rap and classic hiphop.
I think it’s funny how many times you guys said the album sounds the same on every song when you guys listen to all of the Griselda stuff and say how great it is when every single one of their albums sounds the same. I’m not saying I don’t like their stuff because I am a big fan but that’s kind of a funny comment
That is so true, I like Griselda but at this point I dont even get hyped for new projects because i know what its going to be before I listen. Good bars, repetitive beats and ad libs of machine gun sounds. Ive been messing with dehh for a decade and they have become very commercialized over the years and I feel like they lost some of the passion.
19:05 Hold up now. Jay Elec definitely killed it and had the best verse (arguably of the entire album), but Kanye absolutely killed that verse. He rapped about grieving his mother's death and I love how he transitioned into a tragic story about a guy who lost his brother and wanted revenge. His verse was incredibly emotional and introspective.
@@DS-ff6ze why should they? Most of the songs aren’t good. Really the only one missing that was worth a review was Come to Life and maybe more on Believe what I say.
Have we listened to the same album? yall didn't mention one the best songs Ye has ever done; Come to life. You even dedicated a whole part for the pop smoke song when there was songs that are more important to discuss instead (24, Pure Souls) i understand its long so you had to choose which ones you really wanted to talk about but still. I wish you actually reviewed Donda the album and not just talk about the current state of Kanye West, the artist. Ken adding Tell the Vision to his favorites was really funny.... lmao it was soo weird and unexpected
Saying "Jesus Lord" was Jay Electronica's song when Kanye has one of his best verses in years talking about the passing of his mother was so disrespectful... Love the content but man...
The story was bone chilling. When kendruck does that on sing about me dyin of thirst, they all like it. Eh. They just phoned this in. Nobody really cared tbh.
Man this whole review is wild. From Feefo saying that Pop Smoke track was fantastic to Myke saying Moon was mid, they couldn`t have just have one good take? No mention of Come to Life? Oh and Ken is unironically the Broke-Fi-Broke hater character from Late Registration.
Kanye evolved and they didn't. Also I'm pretty sure they didn't actively listen, but rather put it on while driving or doing other shit around the house. Clearly their interest in Kanye's music has been thwarted due to his public persona and they just don't give a shit anymore.
@@TheAtanasTv I'm all for compartmentalizing the art from artist but with Ye everything from the antics to his genius within his music is woven so seamlessly I understand it playing a role in the critiquing of the music. I cant really begrudge their stance/perspective.
i think ya’ll needed to let this one marinate a bit more. ye definitely wasn’t rapping rapping on every track, but to say he didn’t have any standout verses is flat out wrong to me. you just glossed over his verse on jesus lord, one of his best verses since MBDTF era, and went straight to talking about jay e
Jesus Lord is definitely not just Jay Elec’s song - Kanye’s verse is both an impressive storytelling moment and a moving expression of his thoughts and feelings on his mom’s passing. I encourage y’all to give it another listen.
The beats sound the same!?!?!?!? How does Jail, sound like Remote Control, what does Moon compare to? Or Off The Grid??? The song with Lauryn Hill? Does God Breathed sound like any of the other songs? Hurricane??? They are making stuff up. I don't feel like they were paying attention to the album after making a statement like that. " the album sounds like one beat that he kept chopping up and altering slightly? " Seriously!
I have very high respect for you guys and love listening to your reviews, the conversational aspect makes it really entertaining and insightful, whether or not I agree with your opinions. However, this review felt lazy and like none of you wanted to be here. You all seem to have listend to the album only once (some of your comments straight up say so), misatribute songtitles to the wrong songs (which track did you think Pop Smoke was on exactly?), you all don't talk about the highlights (not 'my personal' highlights, but there seems to be consenus amongst listeners like how Jesus Lord is fire and you just kind of skimmed it). You also did not talk about context or even seemed to have done any kind of research. Just sort of listened to it once in the background or in the car and went in for the review. If you don't want to review the album, just don't review it. I can respect that. But this was not the level we've come to expect. I've seen better (I mean more thorough, not higher scoring) reviews for Donda from people that are way less into the culture and are usually not nearly as articulate as you all are. Love your channel, really enjoy your work, but I feel like this should have been a more thoughtful review, or you should've skipped it.
True. Don't just review bc "it's your job" or you have to. Or when you're already biased about it. We can tell very easily. Just wait. Fuck if everyone else is getting to it fast.
Tbh honest I agree. They did this same shit for the roadrunner review. If they don’t want to talk about something then they shouldn’t talk about it instead of forcing it. I can understand Kanye the fatigue though, but their reviews just haven’t been as exciting or insightful to watch anymore. Coming from a long time viewer too.
Yup!! When it's an artist they really like they'll go the extra mile to do that research and get song names, features and lyrics correctly. But you don't need to like the artist/project in order to do all that, it's just being consistent, otherwise i agree 100% don't even review it. I don't care if they don't like it but the review should be more in depth and have facts straight
Now I know Mike is tripping, Westside swore once and Conway didn't swear at all on their track. That's why theirs stood out for me, Kanye been saying no swears and they actually understood the assignment.
He didn't say no swears though, a lot of the features swore during the listening parties and Kanye even said the N word a few times. All of that was uncensored during the listening parties, and then he censored it at the last minute for release. That's the only fair criticism they had for this review though because they are buggin' hard for all their other takes.
I see this album as the answer to the question The Life of Pablo asks. That album was all about picking Which/One and in the end he picked the side of God and as a product of that we got Donda instead of Yahndi.
actually at the End of Yhandi he very clearly says he accepts god. and the WE GOT LOVE, is the track that made me realize that YE was gonna change forever
"It's nothing here, just a bunch of dope beats and kanye just messing around" ?? I'm paraphrasing, but.. Idk man, I feel like kanye been a lot more personal and vulnerable since TLOP, I get if you don't like the music but to say there's no substance?? Ahhhh idk about that one
Why doesnt kanye really rap anymore? Like on TLOP he was rapping, that album had bars that were telling cohesive narratives. On Donda i couldnt really grasp any context or maybe its too abstract for me. Just tryna figure the storyline Kanye is currently on.
Listen to his critiques; he only says he likes something when someone else also says it, he put Tell The Vision in his favorites, then put Off The Grid in his favorites although he said he disliked Kanye and Carti on it (two thirds of the song), and the rest of his critiques could apply to any piece of music. I genuinely think he didn't listen to anything besides Off The Grid and Jesus Lord. His body language makes him look very insecure about what he's going to say, which is very out of character for him. My take: he didn't listen to it and wants to hate Kanye. If he actually listened, then he's just become horrible at reviewing.
I have no problem with them not liking the album, music is subjective. My only thing is, Ken did not enter this album with an open mind and it's pretty clear his personal hate for Kanye intruded any partial analysis that might have been added to a review. Ken doesn't mention anything in terms of instrumental, mixing, lyrical content (I'm not counting a few silly bars/punchlines), theme or the overall sonics. Big fan of DEHH but the critique of DONDA being put together and lazy just isn't substantial. There was clearly effort.
Ken only fucks with like 4 ye albums, I never expect him to like anything kanye puts out, unless Kanye puts out something similar to the albums he does like.
@@kennithbinge ken I fuck with you but stop it I get why u dislike Kanye but there is no way you entered this album with a open mind if you don't like it cause Kanye just say it man
@@kingmez1781 Neither does Jay Elec on “Jesus Lord” but its his song? Stop defending them on this bad review. I like these guys, but now they got 3 infamous reviews for me since they first started
I don’t agree that kanye didn’t have a cohesive thought on this I don’t get how yall seem to think a lot of these cuts sound the same The pop smoke joint is literally the worst song on the album yall buggin You guys are overexaggerating Kanye’s bars being bad on this, the bars yall listed are literally some of the most quotable lines Dead the narrative that this album was just a bunch of dope features, Ye held his own on every track
I want to agree with you on the pop smoke track; although I might be wrong, I feel like Ye did that on purpose, almost like pop talking to everyone saying he made it 🤔 sounds like it was on purpose
I don’t get how he says this and then at the same time says that a bunch of the tracks have very distinct different styles comparable to his other albums.
It is a beautiful song. But DEHH is a hiphop channel. They judge songs by the rapping and lyrics. They don't seem interested in the artsy/sing-songy Kanye stuff.
@@DS-ff6ze that's some bs (not on your part but theirs)... Like it's on the album and refusing to acknowledge it just kinda makes the review invalid damn near LOL
I personally love the album. At worst, I can see people getting turned off by the first 3 tracks for various reasons (the first song is a chant, the beat doesn’t build in Jail, the third song sounds like a Yeezus leftover with too long of an outro), which might give them a bad taste going forward. But Off the Grid and Hurricane should get you right back on track and set you in for the rest of the album. Like how can you listen to the album and not vibe to more than half the songs, especially since the features pretty much all give career-level performances over solid production.
Career-level performances? Just from Jay Z and Jay Electronica imo. That autotune feature on the backend of Praise God is disgusting, made the track an instant skip for me.
Jail is fire. Only Donda chant which was originally presented with images is the only track I can see being turned off by. Maybe if religious themes turn you off we can add a few more but sonically it's awesome. I keep liking it more each day & have new favorite tracks. Thats the signature of a CLASSIC! Any time I had to sit with an album & continued to appreciate it it became a classic. Wut tang forever was like that. Raekwon only built for Cuban links was like that. Even Illmatic was like that for me initially. Not to mention Donda is long as shit! So if you appreciate good music give it more than one shot. Thank me later. 💯×💯
@@beinerthchitivamachado9892 if anything those are the 2 who didnt give career performances. Roddys verse was the best he ever spit for sure. Lil Babys up there too. Lil Durk, Lil Yachty, and more too
There's about 12 other tracks after the first 3 that weren't good at all or are just decent. Personally though, I like Off the Grid, Believe What I Say, 24, Moon, Donda, Jesus Lord, Come to life. If he stuck to those 7 tracks plus Donda Chant and put the effort to production like he did with MBDTF then this could have maybe been great and an actual tribute album. This didn't sound like a tribute album; it was all over the place with no theme. Jail was ok but Jay could have done better just like how he did for CLB. God Breathed is more of a work out track n sounded like Yeezus.
I been rocking with DEHH for damn near a decade at this point, I love y'all and you've introduced me to so many dope artists. With that being said, this has to be one of the reviews I disagreed with the most. I'm not even a Kanye fan like that, but this album had some incredible, incredible highs. For sure it had some lows, and it was bloated and all over the place, but some of these songs are some of the best of Kanye's career. I can't believe y'all ain't even mention Come to Life. That was pure art. Moon - another incredible track. And no props for Kanye's verse on Jesus Lord? I really hope you guys go back and listen to this a few more times. Some of these tracks are real growers, and I actually think the album has been very underrated by the masses desperate to give an opinion straight away.
this review really made me question if i was a kanye stan or if the album was good. imo the album is eye opening and amazing and i’m not religious but it gives me a nostalgic feeling of going to church when i was younger and it makes me wanna go change the person i am for the better.
Sounds like they didn’t play the album enough as they didn’t really rate the sleeper songs as moon, 24, heaven and hell, no child left behind and come to life.
Man Im kinda disappointed in this review, negative or positive I always like watching your reviews cause even if I disagree with the takes you always bring up good arguments but here I just feel like y’all didn’t even talk about half the album and it seems like y’all didn’t really care to listen to it more than once, like I don’t understand how if y’all are fans of old Kanye you don’t talk about Come to Life?, y’all only mentioned Kanye’s bad verses when there were a few really good ones sprinkled around the album, I understand this new wave of hip hop might not be your cup of tea but I just feel this review lacked substance.
i was trying to understand their opinion at some point but when they said that the Pop Smoke interlude was fire and Hov verse on Jail was mediocre i just quit
Exactly. How can you claim to be an old kanye fan and not bring up come to life? Or how deep kanyes verse was on Jesus Lord? When was the last time kanye had a verse like that?
I love dehh but it was clear that only feefo (even though he didn't like it very much) actually listened to the album, the others listened to background music once or twice. To say that tell the vision is the best song on the album is just disappointing.
@@aldiyarball2914 They say it's too long... but 4/5 of them had Royce da 5'9's 22 track album "The Allegory" in their top 10's of 2020. The Kanye agenda is REAL with these guys!
So first Myke says all the songs sound different and it’s jarring. Then later says all the songs sound the same. Then come to find out some of you listened to it literally one time, and Ken said he finished it on the way to the review. You listened to a nearly 2 hour album one time and expect to digest and understand it? Of course it all sounds the same to you. Laughable.
It's funny cuz they review that Tyler single weeks or even months after it was released to make it a review but a 2 hours album gets a review days after. Myke even said on Twitter he didn't wanted to listen to a 2 hrs Kanye album
@@nibyafternight1983 Gotta respect Beezy. He doesn't want to listen to Kanye but he's not a hater so he just doesn't listen or review. What was even the point of DEHH reviewing the album?
@@marxistlynchist yup I have the same stance. Beezy does not come off as a hater or a lazy reviewer at all. He made his choice about not listening to anymore Kanye and that's very respectable. It feels like the rest of DEHH also wants to stop listening to new Kanye projects but don't take the same stance because they want to make a "review". This should be called "reaction" not review
No matter how the guys feel I respect it. For me I LOVE this album, it's weird, personal, and I feel it gives me more insight into how Kanye feels about his faith and love for his mother. This felt like a darker twisted version of TLOP. Starting off melancholy in some songs, dark on others and progressively getting more positive and lighter. Yes it's messy, self indulgent, and odd ball in the usual Kanye fashion, but personally it is one of my favorite albums from him. 808s walked so songs like "Come To Life" could run. Off The Grid, Jonah, Believe What I say, 24, and Heaven and Hell are other tracks I really loved.
DEHH puts emphasis on the rapping, verses and lyrics. They're a hiphop channel. They judge albums by that standpoint. Kanye hasn't really made traditional rap albums since MBTDF. He's more in the pop & avant-garde experimental music space; more concerned with how songs are sonically, artistically and their overall mood.
@@DS-ff6ze I wholeheartedly agree, and never made a statement saying otherwise. For me I really feel like lyrically Ye was on point from the perspective if you read into the concept there were so many references to his mother and faith that you could tell what his intent was behind this record. Was it still messy? Yes, on the surface it definitely seems as discombobulated as Kanye seems at times. But for me as I pay attention lyrically to the theme and how it may be important to the concept I just really like how personal the record is. Nothing more nothing less. I don't really think this album will change anything personally. Or make Kanye haters feel any different about him, but I like the mark this leaves on his legacy. Despite how this record in particular garnered a lot of hate.
@@ilovecody7514 I agree. Many people want Kanye to put another polished rap album like MBDTF. But from Kanye's perspective he already did that. And he's bored by that. He finds more fulfillment in experimenting with new genres and styles.
@@DS-ff6ze Yeah, you can tell Kanye personally wants to push himself more as a vocalist ever since 808s this has been apparent. And it's not like ever since the start of his career he hasn't been experimenting with his vocals, and the other artists he brings on. He's been giving hints on every record to some extent where he plans to go. Though the hints can be small they are very apparent. Especially when you look at his discography as a whole. It's not even like I love all his choices either, but I can respect the risks as whole with time even if I still feel the same later because of the context added. It's so interesting to me how Kanye is one of the few hip hop artists in the mainstream that is like this. Especially with how he commits to what he wants even if I don't always feel it was the best decision.
I’ve been watching DEHH for 7 years now, the last review I disagreed with this much was their rodeo review. I don’t think this album is bad, it’s a good album. There’s at least 10-12 songs I think are really good. Did not like the Pop Smoke and Chris Brown song at all. They didn’t like Moon? Jail, Off the Grid, Praise God, Hurricane, Jonah, Believe What I Say, 24, Moon, Jesus Lord, Keep My Spirit Alive, Come to Life and No Child Left Behind were good songs. Obviously it’s their opinion and I respect that I’m just surprised at the songs they did like. I think this is a 7/10 album with the potential to be a 9/10 with some trimming and more mixing.
@@luny2nez281 Rodeo is a modern classic. I think Ken may like that album if he revisited it, because back then he was more apprehensive to upcoming artists with that sound
I think this album is great personally. The sound is just an experience that I can really vibe to and not get too tired of it. He did some really unique things and created some really moving songs.
Why are these guys debating whether Kanye writes his own stuff or not when you can easily just scroll down the lyrics of any Kanye song and see 8 names on the credits.
I wasn't really loving TLOP at first. I went back a few years later and listened again, and it's my 4th favorite Ye album now. I have a feeling Donda will be similar
Oh man I can’t wait to watch this. I personally like the album. It’s not the greatest thing ever, nor do I think it was worth the wait, but I still find it to be a good album. It’s very long though. Donda > CLB
@Mad Sadiq honestly, I was a little annoyed that you shared this random link. I thought you were gonna be wack. But honestly, that was pretty damn good.
While I think this is nowhere near classic, I do believe this is a good album. It's still bloated like all double-disc albums, and to me, it's more impressive that Kanye can reinvent himself constantly over and over again. When it comes his personal views, that doesn't matter to me because I like Kanye West for his art and always will.
I feel like people call albums classic to early as you won’t know if it is a classic until about 5 years down the line, just look at how people hated 808 and now it is a classic.
Tbh I think a lot more artists could reinvent themselves effectively if they tried. Instead most often most artist are more interested in riding a wave to play it safe and get paid. In addition to that, there's quite a few artists outside of hiphop that are constantly trying to push the boundaries of sound to its limits. Kanye just happens to be unafraid to bring it to the world of hiphop (if that's what you even wanna call it at this point). All that said, I don't particularly like most of these tracks. I listen to a lot of different music so I'm not one to fall for the notion of loving something just because it's "different." The thing about getting experiemental is that there's a fine line to getting it right, and for my ears sonically, a lot of Donda was close but no cigar.
@@ibleminen you've got to wait at least a decade imo. I feel like people use classic to describe any masterpiece, but to me classic means that it is timeless and has stood the test of time. There can be albums that aren't classics but are better than classics.

This album to me is like a sermon in the church of Donda where Kanye’s the preacher and the features are the congregation testifying about their trials and tribulations.
I didn’t expect them to give the album a 10/10 but I’m surprised at how they’re talking this album. I think they’re coming in to it with too much negative emotions and thats messing up the listening experience.
They still can't shake the red hat, think that turned em off to anything Ye tryna say at this point, Beezy boycotts him and is never on a Ye review since then, and honestly I respect him more for doing that and sticking through with it than the rest of these guys who are clearly letting their preconfigured emotions on Kanye the person dominate their opinion on the album. Some of their criticisms honestly were kind of incohorent and contradictory

The fact that Myke at one point said " All of the songs sound the same" Then a few minutes later said "they sound like kanye at different points in his career" shows me this Album had no chance with him unless it wasn't a God-inspired album. And I have no idea why anyone brought up bars on a kanye album. We've been listening to this guy for years and he has never been a lyricist, we remember his catchy hooks, his unique production, and the way he brings out the best in Artist. (minus Nas 😆) Hell even Nicki Minaj. Kanye's bag has always been his production. Granted his bars have gotten horrendously worse post MBDTF. This album was meticulous and heartfelt especially songs like 'moon', '24' & 'come to life'. This made me a Kanye fan all over again. I have to disagree with y’all respectfully on your take on this album. Listening to the review, it’s weird you guys barely talk about the themes in this album. This album is not a gospel album. It does have Christian undertones but it’s not. This album is called Donda. The name of Kanye’s mother whose death he still grieves. One of my issues with Jesus is King was that he talks about God but not about himself, it wasn’t personal. This album was probably one of his most personal albums. The gospel just like the features just play in as support for him showing love and support to his mom. I think if y’all were to look at this album for it’s themes and messages more, then you will appreciate everything more including the features. All the features played a role in the song or theme of the album, every one. That’s rare too with features now a days just happening for clout
Worst takes you have ever come out with imo. Comments show it's clear we all liked the album way more than u guys but that ain't an issue u don't have to like it. The reasons that you gave as to why u didn't like it tho were either lazy, incoherent, or weird gripes that ignored all the positives and most importantly good sounding songs, verses and musical choices on the album. Like wtf even is the tell the vision take y'all had, that shit sounded awful objectively it's poorly mixed as in it literally sounds off, the beat is bad and pops verse sounds awful it's low and clipping . Still like your channel Obvs but y'all buggin hard.
This album grew on me as a experience to be hold inside the mind of Kanye West. Yes, this album is a cluttered mess of different versions of Kanye as an artist but it still sounds real good. There’s too many moment s on this album that were very good for me to say it’s bad
You guys hit the nail on the head, this album feels not completed, unfocused yet test grouped to hell. What was the point of half the songs? Most didn’t it the theme. Not to mention that pop smoke track was ON THE POP SMOKE ALBUM. the beat is nice but they’re just reusing his vocals :/ other than that i agree with you guys on most of it. Wish people would stop writing it off this track survived all the listening parties it wouldn't take a min to add drums but they chose not to. I can’t believe Ken prefers the blatantly unfinished and badly mixed Tell the Vision over No Child Left Behind, crazy.
Also the felonies (fell on knees) line.
Yea exactly. The lyrics are great. I wouldn’t mind if he did a faster flow and if some drums came in earlier to help the beat build more and vary it, but still a great song.

I’m not saying I don’t like their stuff because I am a big fan but that’s kind of a funny comment

Though I definitely wish Conway had a longer verse

Seriously!

I can cut this album down to about 10-12 songs and I really enjoyed it.
If he stuck to those 7 tracks plus Donda Chant and put the effort to production like he did with MBDTF then this could have maybe been great and an actual tribute album. That album lack rapping and it was lackluster aint nothing to talk to about bloated overhyped messy scattered ass album

All facts brethren, all facts. And then they didn't say shit about Come to Life and said that Tell the Vision was good?? Hmmmmm 😂
Laughable.
For real!
The album grows on you. I didn't like it on my first listen
This is a great album. I really don’t understand their critiques of the songs

I thought Donda was solid idc what nobody say I think it’s better than Drake’s album CLB in my opinion
That's not a high bar at all tho
They need to revisit Rodeo.
Ill never let them down for the “Rodeo” and “Live.Love.A$AP” reviews 😂
@@luny2nez281 Rodeo is a modern classic. I think Ken may like that album if he revisited it, because back then he was more apprehensive to upcoming artists with that sound

I think this album is great personally. The sound is just an experience that I can really vibe to and not get too tired of it. He did some really unique things and created some really moving songs.
Why are these guys debating whether Kanye writes his own stuff or not when you can easily just scroll down the lyrics of any Kanye song and see 8 names on the credits.
had to turn off the review after feefo said every track sounded like jail. man what?
In 5 years , everyone is going to love this album
Usually how it goes
I wasn't really loving TLOP at first. I went back a few years later and listened again, and it's my 4th favorite Ye album now. I have a feeling Donda will be similar
Yeah nostalgia is a hell of a drug
Especially if you factor nostalgia. Years later people will be looking back at 2021 and say “wow that was a great year for music”
@@Rayspeace I love it now
Oh man I can’t wait to watch this.
All of his art is based on his personal views.
@@ibleminen That’s true and I liked 808s immediately when it came out. And there’s at least a 7 songs I’d consider nearly or perfect off Donda.
I have no idea what Myke means when he says all the songs sound the same. Like it literally couldn't be further from reality.
He literally said that the album sound like it has life of pablo and yeezus element which make me think why he said that all the song sound the same
I actually think most of the tracks are pretty dope so the length doesn't bug me. 24 and Come to Life are incredible. For me it's about an 8.5/10.
It a good 6.7, my problem was that it's too long and the features carried that album. Kanye needs new ghost writers but his still the best producer. The production was great. I loved the features but ye rapping is so mediocre
@@tshedzamadula3628 I feel ya, he does get outshined by a lot of the features. I'm cool with him taking a backseat though if I can still vibe with the tracks.
I really hope they see these comments and understand a majority of people really enjoy this album. And it’s not because we’re all brainwashed Ye stans, it’s genuinely a great piece of work.
Production wise it's dope but rap wise it's not that great. Overall it's an alright album
@@JEFFMAN90 cap
@@JEFFMAN90 I disagree. There are several corny Kanye lines that hamper some tracks, but he honestly did very well for a decent chunk of the album. Not to mention the features stepped up and a lot of them were on their A-game, in my opinion.
You know that’s subjective, right? People thinking it’s a great piece of work does not mean that it factually is. It’s all a matter of opinion. They’re allowed to think what they think
@@tydune2631 of course they're allowed to think what they want, but they barely listened to an almost 2 hour album and then decided to make a review of it. This album to me is like a sermon in the church of Donda where Kanye’s the preacher and the features are the congregation testifying about their trials and tribulations.
Niggas acting like "Kids See Ghosts" wasn't 3 years ago. Of course Ye still has great music left in him! Lol.

@@thomasnelson5758 You wildin bruh. Yeah, Beezy protest the Yeezy albums, but their takes here are legit. I felt similar about alot of the tracks. Mind you, I am not religious and I was not about all the God shit in every song. But, there are some tracks with that theme that are dope, like you close your eyes and feel the light of God shinin and shit. But there are more moments where it feels like listening to a 12 year old in church doing awkward gospel rap for the congregation.
I think Donda is pretty good. Not perfect by any means but it's still full of highlights and I've found myself going back to it a lot. But man this just might be the DEHH review I disagree with the most. I kept getting more and more baffled with each take lmao. Moon mid? No mention of come to life? Pop smoke track was good? whaat
A lazy and extremely poor review in my opinion!
Ken said he wasn’t paying attention while listening and only listened once and has the audacity to say there’s only 2 good songs
(However, Everyone is entitled to thier opinions, all love fellas)
"All of the songs sound the same" is a funny argument for someone whose music collection consists of 90% black metal too. :D Myke's just a metalhead hater, what's new under the sun...
