It’s like Andre doesn’t rap, he talks to you heart to heart, and it just happens to rhyme. I can count on one hand the amount of lyricists that made me shed actual tears through their bars, but 3 stacks is definitely one

“I ain’t try to take ya choice away I just prayed the water break for my daughters sake” was a direct reference to Kanye’s South Carolina presidential rally where he went on an anti abortion rant and broke down crying telling the story of how he almost aborted his daughter.

I think one of the hardest parts of Andre's verse is how he's able to carry this melancholic tone like you can hear the pain in his voice. As well as talking about him telling his mom not to smoke, while smoking a joint.

It's 'oh poor baby' that gets me everytime. Some but not all often dehumanize their parents because they are the law in their lives. Having the perspective to look back at your parents when they raised you and how/why they made the choices they did. Understanding the choices that you may make as a parent. It changes your understanding. Especially if you're able to have those conversations, honestly, with your parents. Alot of them were kids when they raised us. Still moving through and learning in the world. Perspective.

Also, to add onto your point at 8:00) I challenge anyone to name a bad Andre verse. To quote Kendrick, "I'll wait... your rebuttal a little too late". The reason artists like 3 stacks have smaller discographies than most other artists is partly explained by the absence of any filler whatsoever. His verse on Solo (Reprise) also goes some way to explaining it further:
After twenty years in, I'm so naive I was under the im-
'Pression that everyone wrote they own verses
It's comin' back different and, yeah, that shit hurts me
I'm hummin' and whistlin' to those not deserving
I've stumbled and lived every word, was I working just way too hard?

i’ve always loved andre 3000, ever since i was a kid being introduced to hip hop and listening to outkast. this verse made me tear up from the very beginning, like you both mentioned, tugging on your heart strings.
his word play, along with the overall content and heartfelt messaging was beautiful to listen to and watch you both dissect. great reaction as always fellas 🖤

my favorite part of Benjamin's verse was when you mentioned how he would love it when his mom would show his son (Seven) 'civilian life'!!!
Hits me every single time cause I wasn't alive to meet any of my grandparents (either side)
I always got that feeling in the back of my mind that they would've explained life in a way I would've actually got it; that "Grand Wisdom" is unmatched!!
    Peace 🤲🏿✨🌍🌱✊🏿

Idk I feel like Andre gave Ye an opportunity to get some feelings bout his mom off his chest and he was too scared to open up about it. Coulda been a perfect moment to let it all out but instead he just dropped a random verse

Kanye’s reference in saying “I didn’t mean to take your choice away but they tried to take my voice away.” Is a direct reference to his feeling about abortion and his political stance. It has a double meaning because Kanye ran for President and many felt he would be a distraction and pull votes away from Biden. In other words he didn’t mean to be the distraction but the political space refused to talk about what he felt was important. Ultimately this is a play on his political stances which if you listened to the ,Nore interview, seem to be very valid when fully expressed correctly.

Andre is always amazing and this was no exception. The songs alright. For sure not my favorite but yeah, Andre killed it as usual. He's been so good for so long that I always make sure not to take it for granted which again isn't hard because he's so sick. My man can act too, check out Revolver if you've never seen it.
