  • In this video I show the steps and procedures necessary to replace the lower control arm on the Nissan titan or Armada years 2004th of 2015. The reason why we were replacing the control arm is because of a loose and bad ball joint. Yes it is possible to just replace the ball joint however due to the age of the vehicle and the mileage I decided to replace the whole control arm because the new control arm comes with new bushings. The same control arm will work with both 2wd & 4wd trucks. The truck in the video is a 2009 Nissan titan 4wd with 249k miles. Make sure to check out the links below for the parts and tools I used during this video. Thanks for watching

Those SPC alignment bolts are awesome! They are so smooth and positive when they adjust. I used them on my F-150 after the lesser Mooge nut/plate kit loosened up. SPC is good stuff.

Awesome video thanks. One of my bushings has been chewed up and I was hoping it would be easy to replace but that’s not gonna happen lol. I will just put a whole new LCA on

Love how the nuts just come loose and the bolts slide out like they were just put together. I'm here checking if I missed something stupid because my bolts won't budge. Looks like just good old fashion rust and grime. Might have to cut them out

Wow! It really makes such a huge difference as far as whether you live in a salt environment. There's hardly any visible rust there. Mine only had 100K miles when I bought it but it was a northern truck and all the front suspension parts were rusting away. Luckily parts aren't expensive for our trucks. Hopefully I can also get 250K plus miles.

    Great video!
I need to do this to my Titan with 205k miles. Squeaky ball joint. But I’m wondering, if you are going to the effort of replacing the lower control arm, should you also replace the upper control arm and sway bar links while you’re at it?
    Thanks!

If you remove the grease fitting lower control arm, upper ball joint nut axle nut off push back axle don't even have to take it out of sleeve, why risk damaging the boot turn steering wheel to the right lower control arm with pry bar pops right out a small punch push lower ball joint Up and out, remove control arm bolt's gives instant wiggle room hook one 2 short 12inch tie down to brake "caliper" hole too top suspension spring no need to take so much apart give the alignment a special F***ing the rest is elementary no stress on brake lines or any connections flex stretch hook tie downs a must like having two sets of extra hands they only cost $2 a piece For driver side
