@@realfakercan you use a single drawing a make a 3d modeling for instance Disney picture... mickey create a edge contour... I would like to use the modeling for a CNC machine it's that posible
Cool, but pretty involved and tedious process at least it was with the image I tried it with. It's probably not too bad at all with more simple 2D images though. It's pretty promising technology just the same. I'll have to experiment with it further. It might work a lot nicer with a more low poly 2D image depiction rather than a crazy mosaic image. I think a chose violence essentially by picking that image to try with this. Nice tutorial though. In relative terms to trying to 3D model it from scratch it's probably pretty quick comparatively for what you can get out of it which is awesome.
Whenever I extrude a shape to make a hole and return to object mode for the Boolean to take effect, the shape goes back to a plane. When I go back to edit mode, it returns to an extruded shape. I have followed all the steps, and get the same result each time. Any ideas?
Thanks for the vid. I watched your others but this one seems little better for the application I am using it for. However, I am unable to remove the middle section of my image (similarly to the eye of the dragon in your example). I tried it with your dragon image and I was able to boolean it and remove it, but when I use my image, I cannot remove it. Any suggestions?
@@realfaker It was the project file. I had just built a new computer and tried the same process on it and had the same result. Sent the file to my cousin, he sent back THE SAME version as far I could tell, tried that file and it worked. LOL. Thank you for the prompt response!
Best best best tutorial, easy to follow, thankuu soooooooooo much
Fantastic! I've been seen all kinds of videos on how to transform 2D into 3D. This one is simply the best!
Glad you liked it!

For anyone having trouble with the boolean. What let me cut the image was changing the "solver" from "exact" to "fast" 5:11
Just got to this same step. I managed to get it to work by swapping to fast mode on the boolean modifier rather than the exact mode.
Excellent.
RIGHT THANK YOU 99%
EXCEPTIONAL tutorial thanks for really puting work inn to exsplaining this :D
excellent work
when I select the points around my logo, the black doesn't disappear.

same issue others are having with the eye, on one image it works fine the next one it deletes the eye but doesn't cut it from the original trace.??

I appreciate the kind words, I have to check the project file to fix the issue, you can send it to my email: contact@realityfakers.net
try applying the scale too, hopefully thats an easy fix

cool video, im still having problems.
as there are parts within the "eye" that i cannot leave in
plus not all of the parts are being made into holes.
Oh I got it, you do have problem with the Boolean. You can send me an image of your progress and I'll help you out
@@realfaker i just rage quit, its been 2 hours im very tired.
ive resorted to using inkscape to get bitmap image scan. (svg)
I am having this same issue. Some of the holes are being deleted and some stay after the boolean is applied. don't know why some work and some don't.
The issue is its set to Exact if you switch the boolean solver option to Fast it will cut the object out.
Thanks@@galaxymewit solved the problem for me ✌
Boolean cutting isn’t working for me
same...
how i make the same image colour?
i got no gpencil no where :P
This Grease Pencil method make by Potato PC crash. Blender 3.6.5 LTS
Way to much work and the end result is not perfect. It is better to convert image to svg and the import it to blender.
