  • Danielle Matias, PA-C and Ross Hauser, MD discuss when Prolotherapy and PRP are used for cases of rib and chest pain. In our practice, we see cases of slipping rib syndrome, costochondritis, Tietze syndrome, and thoracic pain. In many of these instances, the ligaments are too loose or stretched out which causes them to fail to keep the rib or sternum stable which causes a lot of pain and irritate the intercostal nerves. The goal of prolotherapy treatment is to achieve stabilization of the connective tissue along the front and back of the rib attachments.

**DISCLAIMER: As with any medical treatment, no guarantees or claims of cures are made as to the extent of the response to treatment that every person experiences. Every therapy/treatment has patients who experience varying levels of success and failure. Results may not be the same from patient to patient, even with a similar diagnosis, as the body’s internal status is unique to each individual.

You guys are so lucky to have doctors like dr. R.Hauser, dr. J.Middleton and dr. N.Keiser. I'm like a pinball ball bouncing from a doctor to a doctor for the last 6 and a half years. Nobody was able to offer any help. Apart from neuro-symptoms that according to your videos could be a consequence of my 65mm styloids or neck instability, I also have constant klicking and popping in my thoracic spine with a lot of pain. Well, my doc said "I'm much younger and my spine is also klicking". I was put on AD because of the discomfort in my chest. Could be anxiety. Guess how much the AD was helping.

We are so sorry to hear this Julie, we understand how frustrating it can be to not be heard! We would absolutely love to have you in our office, at a minimum you’d have a proper diagnosis.
