    It is amazing how quickly you feel the positive effects of doing this simple maneuver, I’m super thankful to you for making this video. I’ve always thought I had lung/heart problems because I’d feel intense pain in my left rib cage area and it got so bad at one point I went to the doctor and got all kinds of tests done just to be told there’s nothing wrong with me it must be a muscular thing so I was prescribed muscle relaxers. But after taking them and still feeling pain I was deeply upset. Found your video the other week tried it out and now I’m literally 100% better now! No need for pills and no more thinking I have serious chest problems. Once again thank you !!!!!!!!

    This helped me immediately. Been dealing with this sternum pain and discomfort since I was little. It was a due to when ran into the wall driving a go cart and I went forward and the steering wheel cushion hit my sternum and I've literally had this issue for about 22 years, ever since i've been uncomfortable and always adjusting. I didn't want to tell my mother at the time because I was embarrassed even though I was about 7 or 8 y/o. Today Holy Spirit placed it in my mind to search how to fix it. After thinking one last time how I might fix it on my own, I was giving the idea to search online. Then you popped up, it showed it was a short video, I clicked, watched and did what you said, and pop! My right side rib in the sternum and even all the way down to my right side of my back popped. The relief was instant and I'm feeling my shoulder on the same side start to release and get what feels to be more blood circulation or as if a muscle had fallen asleep for a long time and is now waking back up, is the best way I know to explain it. I thought I was going to live with this the rest of my life or that I would maybe grow out of it or just stretch I was able to do everything still but inside my mind it was always a thought that followed my and always just wished I could take that moment back. But God literally led me to you today! Of all days when i've been praying and asking Him how to fix this and that's when the chain of events that led me to you happened. Thank you Adonai and you Dr. Michael. You'll be sent my support as soon as I can. May you and your family be greatly blessed with peace and all that God has planned for your life.

    After being unable to take a deep breath or twist my torso at all for days, I tried method 1. I didn't hear a "crack" like when you crack your knuckles, but I most definitely heard a very deep "thunk" sound, and I felt something shift in my chest. There was then a slight warmth by my rib area (didn't hurt at all, just felt warm.)
    Things felt a little better instantly, but by the next day, I'd say 90% of the pain is relieved and my range of motion is almost entirely restored. I can tell now it's just a matter of the soft tissue around the rib calming down. Thanks for these techniques!

    Thank you for this info!
    I remember having a costo episode years ago, before I was diagnosed. I was in constant severe pain for a week and could not sleep. I hadn't heard of costochondritis at the time so I thought it was gas. Never have I had such pain. I went to a doctor. They couldn't help me, nor did they know what was wrong. However, when I bent over to tie my shoe while still on the table, I heard a pop sound. Suddenly, my pain was all gone. Years later I went to my PCP who was actually able to help me, and quickly told me what it was without hesitation. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

    Ok, I broke my back over a year ago and have been to so many doctors, and I tell them about my rib pain and they all say it's bruised and this, that, and the other, but the pain is always there. I watched this video, and this technique instantly popped something, and I felt instant relief. What's wrong with our healthcare system if, after spending all this money, I find my healing through this UA-cam video? Thank you!

    So, I've been going to a Primary Care DO for the last few years for her to manipulate my rib back in. Never once did she let me know that I could do this myself. I picked up something that I shouldn't have about 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to get in with my Dr so I went to a chiropractor. He had not heard of a rib popping but decided that it had to do with my spine so he has worked on my back twice. Never my rib. Yesterday I ended up at the ER. The Dr there of course had never heard of a rib popping out and working it back in. Thank you for this video and your help! It's so good to know that I can now do this myself and get some tried. I just sent your video to my 4 daughters who know what I have been going through.

    FINALLY!!! For years I've been struggling with this chest pain and restricted movements, everytime I try to reach or stretch for something I'll feeling this sharp pain in my chest. So yesterday I got so frustrated with it that I decided to search UA-cam for some help and saw this video, tried it the first time and it was soo uncomfortable and painful, tried it again and it popped a little and the third time it hurt but also popped. Instantly I felt a huge relief in my chest. I went cycling with my friend and for the first time, bending over holding on the handle didn't bother me at all. Thank you sir, what other exercises can continue doing to make sure it doesn't happen again?

      Thank you thank you for this video. I too started experiencing this when I got covid. 2 months later and the pain is back. It’s mostly in the cartilage of my lower ribs that aren’t directly connected to the sternum (8,9 & 10 I think) - do you use the same method for these? It’s super painful and doesn’t seem like there’s anything they can “pop” in and out of besides cartilage?

    And the first time i occur this, it is soooo agony (theres a crack heard and it does instant painful to my chest) that it makes me can't sleep even a minute, just to think why it occurs to me and feel such agony 🥲

    I have a strange out of place feeling right in the middle of my chest. Any time I bend over or move in a certain way I will get an uncomfortable pop in my sternum area. It doesn't hurt, it just feels uncomfortable. In the beginning bending over would hurt but I think it's been this way so long it doesn't hurt anymore. I do feel as though some of my breathing is restricted when I try to take a deep breath. I really can't afford to get it checked out. Oh and sneezing hurts.

    This always works every time for me;
    Have someone who’s as tall as you or taller stand behind you. cross your arms across your sternum- wrist over wrist. The person behind you wraps their arms around you, grabbing their wrist together over your wrists (at your breastbone/sternum level). They squeeze and lift you back against their body and it instantly adjusts you.
    Instant relief.
    Difficult to find someone my height to do this anymore, so I’ll try this self adjustment. I’ll let you know if it worked for me.
    Thank you very much for showing us this technique.
    Edit:
    Well, it kind of worked. I’ll keep at it. One thing though...when I push on the area, it makes me burp. Do you know what may be causing this?

    • @NebulaWILNIL
      @NebulaWILNIL 3 роки тому

      Hmm this may sound odd but I’m thinking it’s a mix of anxiety? I relate to the burping but for me personally, I believe it’s because of my hyperacidity associated with anxiety. Because my sternum tightening is always related to my general anxiety

    Hi there Dr. Rowe
    Interesting video for some minor pain relief from Costochondritis but is only good for temporary general pain relief from the condition, but you need to combine it with your video on how to crack your back between your shoulder blades for a way better solution to the pain relief from the condition - I know it from having had the condition real bad.
    Yes i've had my life turned to a living misery from acute costo pain (note i'm using the slang name for the condition, way more truthful upon the non-escapable ugly effects it has on your life!) but that is in the past now, actually found the source cause of the costo that put me thru living hell - the source cause was pure posture related from the vertebrae joint cartilage lock up between my shoulder blades.
    Here's the thing - costo that is pure posture related to your vertebrae joint cartilage lock up between your shoulder blades as the source cause, is totally & permanently treatable for being totally clear of the condition for life - I don't have the condition anymore and will never have it for the rest of my life, BUT I WILL POINT OUT IT WILL NOT TREAT ALL COSTOCHONDRITIS SOURCE CAUSES - GET THE PROPER SOURCE CAUSE FOUND FIRST !!!! (But considering modern lifestyle & work demands on the human body, posture related costo is a more major factor than given credit !)
    The treatment comes from New Zealand trained physiotherapists who have trained in advanced skeletal manipulation techniques (the second largest field of speciation for registered New Zealand trained physiotherapists) and the treatment is part of the standard training for that speciation in New Zealand physiotherapist schools!
    Dr. Rowe, As a pass sufferer of the condition I would seriously suggest that you and colleges have a look at the UA-cam channel "TheBackpodBodystance" and the vid's on that channel related to costochondritis treatment, cause the physiotherapist who sorted out my costo actually went thru the same training as the channel's presenter (another physiotherapist from New Zealand). Seriously the amount of generalised time wasting noneffective treatment methods for costo especially from the America's is really criminally shocking for the sufferers of the condition, as I found out from the online support forums for the condition !!!!
    Yes I had plenty of time while off work for some very detailed digging into the subject of costo, most of the stuff I found was pure bull crud and a complete waste of time and effort that is until I came across the medical info from New Zealand, was definitely surprised by how much standard medical practice around the world nowadays cames from New Zealand.
    The treatment I had for the condition was no magic bullet but it works at a level that is rather impressive in it's time frame for clearing the body of the effects of costo !!!!

    I’m not sure if this is the thing that helped me or if it was just coincidental but I tried this a bunch in the past hour and felt a lot of relief. I made my first chiropractic appt due to Costco pain the past week. I have this crazy tightness like it needs to pop but can’t pop. This loosened something up. I’m feeling good for my appt tomorrow and my anxiety is lessened

    I had a rear car bang and have suffered for 8mths with pain and a tearing feeling in my sternum. I've seen a chiropractor on 11 occasions who doesn't seem to understand what I'm telling him . That is in my front . I can't walk far now as something feels as if it's tight and tearing . The chiropractic manipulation to back and neck have helped my severe dizziness but its nowhere near cured . I've wanted my chest felt for a long time but seems beyond his remit . . My whole life has changed. I cry everyday in despair 😪

    I went to lay in bed tonight and my rib seems to have slipped out of place. It felt weird like the ribs were twisted. I could see the rib poking out a bit just below my nipple. It scared me into a mild panic lol. I laid down and was scared to move but it seems to have fixed itself rather quickly. No idea what caused it, never ever felt that before.
